Alright so granted, I just finished watching Matpat's Splatoon related Game Theory, and my sleepless brain took the main idea and and thought to give that power to humans....

Welcome to another alternate Earth. In terms of settings and plot, this will probably handle a lot like the 'My Hero Academia' roleplays I've seen on here. As for story, I'm working on it. xD Though I have a couple of ideas which I'll get back to. For those who haven't seen/don't watch Game Theory on Youtube, I'm essentially giving the power of RNA editing to humans. What would normally take years for a species to evolve, will only take weeks, or a month tops. (Time frame debatable depending how I choose to run it. Might just make it 'instant' for sake of rp, but add another restriction.) What this means for your character is an ever expanding roster of powers and abilities. This could be as simple as gills to aid breathing in water or as wondrous as growing a third arm so you can hold more stuff. xD I'm bad at examples but really there's hardly a limit. Questions? I'll be glad to answer as they arrive, this is just the focus of the world our characters will live in and this is still a relatively fresh idea.

If you find yourself interested in the above, then I thank you. I know I tend to ramble (<-- case in point) and its always hard to find a group to do a thing how you want it. Below are a couple of story options we can go down.

1. Alternate War.
(*le cough* Youjo Senki) Be it the crusades or a world war, our characters had new elements that could make our irl history entirely different. But everyone fights. Whether for religious control or territorial domenance, blood will be shed.

2. With power comes great fear.
Or at least envy. Honestly not everyone in the world can choose to regrow that severed limb. Some are normal, run of the mill humans. Should you join the resistance or fight against it, the oppression will end one way or another.

3. Now your trapped.
What better way to use your genetic superiority to do what you do best; Evolve. You, with your comrades, will be put to the test in a matter of life or death to pass the 12 trials standing between you and freedom. Just how far will you evolve? And will you still be able to consider yourself human should you reach the end? That choice belongs only to you.

4. The birth of a super man.
Evolution is one thing, but how long until the first 'super' being comes into existence. Will the world be ready? Or will mankind's next step towards the future start with it's collapse?

If you have more ideas or specifics, feel free to voice them here. Like I said, this is mostly just a blurb of a post with little thought behind it. Though I would love for us to carry on through each of the stories and have our world evolve along with our characters. Being new to this site puts me in a weird position where I don't really know what to expect. Congrats on making it through all 3,000 characters. Mayhaps there is a story here yet.

I find this topic interesting, the entire thing, because to me the plausible dystopian future of cybertechnology and genetic alterations is not too far flung and is engaging. Still an aspect of science fiction and fantasy, but there's a lot to be done with it. For that reason, I believe this provides the most engaging plotline for players. You can be either for or against it, or caught in the crossfire. There's that opportunity to look at the world and compare our current events in parallel to this. It can easily determine, by the actions of the players, any of the other outcomes.

For that reason, that is in part why I am now watching this topic. I am curious, hoping really, for some ethical and moral dilemma to accompany some action and involvement.
