"Well, in my case. Most women while they typically will hold a snake, they wouldn't consider it pet worthy or if they talk about wanting a pet snake, they wouldn't be willing to hold a 9 or 10 foot long snake. You are just so casual with holding and petting it, it is really nice to see. You are so driven with business and your love of the arts is incredible. Finding a woman like you, really is amazing and wonderful, you really do deserve to be told that, at every possible opportunity."

He flips a switch on the wall warming up the enclosure once again. He opens the last enclosure and reaches in pulling out one of his burmese pythons.

"The 2 in here are giant. You can attempt to get the smaller one but I doubt you will be able to. She is about 130 pounds and 19 feet long."

He starts dragging the snake out, wrapping it around his neck and body. The snake continues to come out foot after foot, ending up being over 20 feet long.

"Meet Tico."

Tyler's words confused Ele. Amazing and wonderful? Those were words Ele would have applied to works of art, the beautiful landscapes they had driven through, or even Tyler himself. His kindness, openness, and willingness to help others brought to mind amazing and wonderful. Ele furrowed her brow as she went to help the giant snake out of the enclosure, lifting parts of him out until he finally was out of the cage. She couldn't figure out how Tyler was applying the words to her, she was closed off, distant, moody, and broken.

Shaking her head, Ele bent down and picked up the back end of the snake and wrapped it around herself so she and Tyler were both in a snake hug. Tyler only knew her exterior, if he ever figured out her inside, he would never think of her as wonderful or amazing. He would think she was ugly.

"Tico is pretty. What are the other's names?"

"Tico's mate is named Slim, the ball is Bale and the carpet python doesn't have a name yet."

He stands close to Ele, looking down at her while Tico just hangs and relaxes. His head rises up to the light and stops, holding as still as possible. It stares at the light, only the occasional flick of its tongue shows that it is living.

"I think this is the longest you have been this close to me."

He says looking down at her with a warm smile.

"I have all the confidence in the world that Tico will rise up and defend my honor if you do anything."

Ele said with a smirk, motioning to the zoned out snake,

"I mean look at him, he's a vicious attack snake, ready to strike."

With a shrug, Ele looked down between them, Tico's coils separating them, but Tyler was right. Ele had chosen to be closer to Tyler willingly,

"I guess it's because you flattered me. But don't get to used to it, Tico's also kind of giving me a squeeze."

He laughs looking at him spacing out.

"He is exceptional at lulling you into a false sense of security before just. SNAP! Tongue flick to the face."

He chuckles.

"160 pounds of muscle, hard not to stay close. But, I would definitely not mind if you got used to it."

He smiles at her.

"I may be close to twice his weight but damn he is hard to hold up."

He pulls out several drawers from beneath the tank, creating a place for the snakes to move around in the room on and not have to worry about messing up the floor.

"Lets get them out and let them roam for a while, be nice for them to stretch out for a while."

He lifts up the top part of the cage and latches it. He lays Tico down on the floor and lets slim come out on her own.

As Tico slithered down her, Ele rotated as his coils moved around her. She couldn't help but laugh as finally Tico released her to move around the room. Watching Slim, Ele smiled genuinely, the smile reaching her eyes and making them sparkle,

"That was fun!"

She said in between giggles, moving to stand next to Tyler again, feeling a little braver. Tyler was safe, Ele told herself,

"I don't usually get close to people. I have one person, but that's it."

He smiles at her again.

"Hope I can be the second."

He says as he pulls out his female bearded dragon.

"I have a few baby beardies but this is my only adult, her name is Moxt Ir which is dragonic for little one."

He puts her on the back of his hand. She slides forward, grabbing his middle and ring finger with her back feet and wraps her front legs around his wrist spreading out.

"She is friendly."

"Maybe you will be."

Ele said quietly, watching as Tyler took out his bearded dragon. She smiled and reached out to stroke the little thing,

"She's super cute. How come you haven't named the carpet python?"

Ele was taking deep breaths, keeping herself calm. It was taking a lot for her to be in this small room, and to be standing next to a man. The animals were helping her though, distracting her and giving her something to talk about.

"It is relatively new pet for me. A friend of mine raises snakes, he never names them if he intends on selling them, this one was actually purchased by somebody else who couldn't have it anymore so my friend bought it back and I bought it."

Moxt Ir turns her head and suddenly tastes Ele's hand 3 times, getting a better lick each time then tilting her head to look up.

"She has a thing about three tastes, I don't know why."

Giving a shrug, Ele kept petting until the little dragon until she closed her eyes and looked like she was incredibly happy and relaxed,

"How long does it you usually take to name a new pet? I've never had any pet before, so its all new for me."

"Sometimes you know instantly, other times it can take a few days. My mom bought a mastiff puppy, we had been trying to come up with a name for it weeks before we actually got it nothing would stick. Got it home and still no name, we had it for 3 days before we decided on its name. Keep in mind he is an apricot color mastiff, we named him shadow. He would not leave my moms side for anything, she kept coming to my room and saying my little shadow is with me. So shadow was his name for constantly following her around."

He starts rubbing Moxt Ir's head between the eyes then under her chin. As his finger touches her chin, she tongue flicks.

"Wanna help feed her? Today is pinky day and horned worm day, both snacks."

"Now, don't freak out."

He pulls out a container with blue green colored tomato worms.

"These are horned worms. They are a type of tomato worm. Kind of a hairless caterpillar that becomes a giant moth. She gets 8 of these and 1 pinkie which is a baby mouse. After her snack, she gets some greens, part of an apple, couple sections of banana and some mixed berries. Her food is in a small fridge in my laundry room if you don't wanna touch the worms or watch her eat the pinkie."

Shuddering, Ele shook her head and stuck her tongue out, making a face. Going to the door, Ele gently bent and pulled Slim away so she could let herself out,

"I will prepare the fruit salad, be right back!"

He nods his head.

"Figured you could do without the worms."

He proceeds to feed her the worms first knowing she wouldn't enjoy seeing that but saves the pinkie so she could see her in hunting mode.

"Done with the worms, she is in full hunt mode now if you wanna see her in action."

He hollers out still holding the pinkie which is now dusted with calcium.

"Coming!"

Ele called from the laundry room as she finished the fruit and made her way back to the reptile room. Carefully opening the door again, Ele stepped over Tico,

"Pardon me, sir."

Placing the dish of fruit on a shelf, Ele nodded to Tyler,

"Okie dokie."

Moxt Ir was up on top of her tank, tail curling up into the air as she stands up with her belly off the floor. He places the pinkie down at the far end from her, letting it wiggle and move around. Her attention is caught and starts stalking it. She stands over top of it watching for a few seconds before slapping down with its tongue and bringing it into her mouth. One bite and the pinkie goes limp, she bites down again and starts working it down.

"It is amazing how quick she works to kill them."

He grabs the food and places it on the tank. She walks over to it licking her lips then dives into the meal. He puts a gallon of water in a small pool built onto the top of the tank, letting her eat.

"I think we are done in here. The snakes have already eaten, I have a tree in with the iguana's that they can eat off of at any time and now Moxt Ir has been taken care of. You wanna see the toy room?"

Watching Moxt Ir make short work of the pinkie was certainly a sight to see. There was a moment that Ele felt bad for the tiny thing, but she reminded herself that it was the way nature worked.

Looking up at Tyler, Ele raised an eyebrow and two fingers,

"Number one: How many rooms does this fluffing house have? Number two: Please don't tell me this is a 50 Shades of Grey "toy room" because that is weird and where I draw a hard line of NOPE."

"Master bedroom and 2 regular bedrooms, the other bedroom is right across the hall."

He chuckles hearing her second question and statement.

"Come on now, I don't need toys for that. It is an actual toy room though not kids toys typically. I have rc planes, helicopters, drones, cars, slot car sets. I keep lots of unfinished projects in there for painting, model cars and the like."

"Oh, so the store isn't a big enough toy room?"

Ele teased, going across the hall and looking in when Tyler opened the door. It certainly did seem like a room Tyler would have, all filled with his hobby,

"So what're you going to do when you do finally meet a woman and have a kid? Which room goes, the reptile room or the toys? Please say the toys, because if you get rid of the animals my respect for you will plummet to the negatives."
