So this has been an idea I've had buzzing around in my head for a while, but I was never sure how I was going to write it down like. So, after a few attempts that didn't turn out so well, I think I've finally got an idea.
"It's been about Seven Months since the Clone Wars began. The Outer Rim has become a bloody battleground, with both sides fighting desperately for control over vital planets and trade routes. However, something else has been brought to the Republic's Attention. Republic Intelligence believes that the CIS have been invading the Unknown Regions, possibly creating powerful new weapons that could cripple the Republic. So, the Republic Military had to move quickly.
Moving throughout the Unknown Regions, however, was risky. For starters, there's a reason it's called that. Almost none of it has been charted. One would need specialized equipment for the job. And thus would enter the GAR MECH Division, and soon would be placed under the command of a fairly unknown Jedi Knight, Kelen Rolin. MECH was developed to create new weapons that could better combat the unknown hazards they would face.
With all their new equipment and tech, they were ready to get underway, but there was one more advancement they would be given. The latest Kuat Drive Yards Prototype: The Verigator Class Republic Battleship. Armed to the teeth with Turbolasers, Ion Turrets, and Point Defense Laser Grid, along with the best Shields ever developed by Kuat. Now Ten Months After the Clone Wars Began, General Rolin, MECH, and the 117th Clone Battalion, set course for one of the few known systems in the Unknown Regions, and from there would begin searching out the CIS, or whatever they might find..."
So the main idea behind this is... a lot of crossovers. The Unknown Regions are never fully known in Canon or the EU, so I figured "What if planets from other series could exist?"
Planets we might visit would be some more well known ones such as Cybertron from the Transformers, or some somewhat lesser known ones such as Third Earth from The Thundercats. Earth might be in the mix as well, with plenty of others to come.
As for characters, they'd be Clones. I've already got a nice collection of characters that I have made in the past for the 117th Attack Battalion, which you can find below in my Sig.
