"Yeah, I love Arnold Palmer's. They are perfect on a hot day."

He sits down with her and bites into his sub with a smile.

"I am thinking that I will go through with finding a 4 rotor engine for the Miata. A 4 rotor engine with a turbo is capable of like 1,200 horsepower. That should be lots of fun."

"Sounds fast,"

Taking a bite of her sandwich, Ele smirked. She didn't know anything about what Tyler had just said and she knew he knew it.

"So you're going to be good racing in a lavender car?"

She asked, taking a sip of her lemonade. It felt strange to be sitting on a porch, the sun setting, drinking lemonade and having dinner with a guy. It was almost like a scene from a movie.

They finished the rest of their dinner in relative quiet, Ele just enjoying the moment. When she was done, she curled up in her chair and watched as the sun dipped below the horizon,

Laying her head on Tyler's shoulder, Ele relaxed and let her eyes close, feeling completely at peace letting Tyler hold her.

"And the Louvre in France. But I want to go somewhere tropical too like Bora Bora."

"One of my sisters used to go on cruises about once a year with her husband. Always went to the Bahama's, got a shirt from there for me and a bottle of hot sauce. I have always wanted to go for a cruise."

He smiles and looks over at her.

"Sure would be nice to have a woman by my side while I go."

Ele asked, raising an eyebrow and opening her eyes. Turning her face towards Tyler, she fully expected to deliver witty remark, but she realized how close their faces were at that point. Ele felt her heart start beating harder, but not at all in a bad way,

"What kind of woman?"

The question came out as a whisper, and Ele couldn't help but feel a little anticipation to hear Tyler's answer.

He looks her straight in the eye with a smile. Taking his hand he starts playing with her hair a little.

Her eyes softened as Tyler played with her hair, and she let herself bask in the moment. This was only her fourth day here, but being with Tyler felt inexplicably right. He was kind, and gentle, but strong enough to handle Ele's brokenness and baggage. He hadn't shied away from her when she had admitted her past, but promised to help put Ele back together.

She could feel herself becoming loyal to Tyler, and Ele wondered if this is what it was like to become attached to someone.

"I like that thought."

Ele nodded, the words barely penetrating her skull, but she was able to make sense of them. Part of her hesitated, that scared, mistrustful part of her that made her say,

Blinking in surprise and leaning back from Tyler for a moment, Ele looked shocked. They had been on two completely different pages, and Ele's mouth dropped open,

"You are a bad boy, aren't you?"

She teased, a smile transforming her face from concerned and confused to delight as she gently swatted Tyler's shoulder. Teasing, Ele narrowed her eyes at Tyler and tried to make her expression serious,

"That's how you get the girls, isn't it? You come off all country charm and sweet manners, but really you're hiding you bad side"

Giggling and nodding as though she had cracked Tyler, Ele turned forward and crossed her arms over her chest,

"I don't know if I can associate with the likes of you! You may besmirch my image!"
