@BubblegumQueen - I'll look at it a little later (probably tonight).

I also happen to be a Youtuber, so.. gotta do that this afternoon. Then I have an intense class this coming month, mostly so everyone is aware. SimpleD will also be the CoGM, but they are also pretty damn busy sometimes, haha. So yes, once a week posting, but I won't be hounding anyone since I have things to do. =3

@BubblegumQueen I'd say just explain her magic a bit more... like is it Verbal or Somatic (I'm assuming Somatic). Also telekinesis would be more alternative magic I'd say. Even reading thoughts, but since your version isn't very impacting.. I think it's fine being a 'normal' magic. =3 Actually... scratch that - I like the idea of dancers being to Somatic spells like bards are to Verbal spells... "special." ^^ So you don't need to change anything, just explain it's Somatic spells.

Also edit what kingdom she's aligned with, if any, otherwise approved!

@Lyla I just have to ask about an idea out of curiosity after looking things over for the last while: Would it be possible for a character to possess a language that allows them to manipulate the environment around them? Nothing along the likes of killing people with a word, but things like causing plants to grow to create bridges, causing a piece of wood to burst into fire, or generating a thunderstorm out of thin air? It would be mainly focused on manipulating the natural world as its strongest and definitely primary ability, perhaps being able to affect things such as metal since it originated from the natural world. It would not be able to affect sentient things, such as humans, though it could be used to manipulate animals perhaps?

In essence, it would be a powerful type of verbal spell in the form of an actual unique language, specialized at manipulating nature and the natural world simply by speaking the words of the language, though it also functions as an actual language as well. The amount of emotion and focus put into the words the user speak would determine the potency of the word's effects, which can easily work well for the user or backfire splendidly if they blurt the wrong word out in the heat of a moment or such.

Odd idea, i know, but i was wonder what your thoughts on this sort of idea would be. Please pardon my intrusion into things if i am being a tad weird by asking this though. XD

@Holy Grail Hm.. I suppose it's technically possible, but I wouldn't allow any character enough power to make thunderstorms from just a single word from the start - hero or not.

@Lyla So something like a couple or so lines of speaking this "magic language" (for lack of a better word) to summon a thunderstorm or something of the sort might be an acceptable idea then?

@Holy Grail I'm not sure... depends on how difficult this language is to learn or find..

@Holy Grail@Lyla Sounds a lot like the Dovah language from Skyrim or the... one language from the Inheritance book series. You don't really say anything special you just say an action in a different tongue and put meaning behind it like, "Earth, Rise, Pillar" To make a column of dirt and rock rise from the ground where you intend it because of that previously stated intent.

@Lyla Mmm, it would be a unique language created by a pair of wizards, taught to a character instead of the common tongue of the various nations as an experiment. On one hand, the character would be able to do things such as generate thunderstorms with a couple lines or so of speaking, but at the same time would be unable to speak like a normal person. They would be often mute, as literally speaking any words in their case has some kind of magical effect. Saying something like "Hello over there!" might have some odd effect like causing their voice to boom with a great and loud sound like thunder by accident, or something odd such as causing a nearby glass vase of flowers to shatter could happen if they try to say a regular sentence and the words are attempting to communicate that into some effect on the environment.

So they would communicate through written words mainly, hand signs as well, though in their mental landscape they could communicate with others far more easily and even speak mentally to others they are connected with as part of the RP without causing magical effects around them.

In essence, a character whose words have power in some sense.

Blarg, i hope that made some sense...

The character would, however, have been taught to understand the common tongue when it is spoken to them, and to read and write in it as well.

They could perhaps be taught to speak normally by others over time, or perhaps could teach a few phrases of the language to others to help them learn more magic and such. :P

@Holy Grail@Lyla It also kinda works for those bigger spells as to summon that storm or whatever you'd have to sit there and basically say, "Bring about clouds, bring forth water, combine the elements of air and water to craft rain. Forth comes the wind and gales of nature to strike up the skies. Crackling skies bring Heaven's wrath... Radda-radda-radda" You get the point as you basically talk about bring together parts of nature and mixing them up to make a lightning storm.

I'm also gonna go away now because I'm not SUPER needed to give my two cents for this...

@Holy Grail - I don't feel like that's enough of a balance to justify just summoning things so big... the only drawback is that they can't talk normally? That's frustrating and inconvenient, but that's about it. Also, how would wizards make up a language like that? That's sort of far fetched, especially given the current magical language origins is largely unknown - only rumors exist. The concept makes sense though.
