Oh no it's Drag trainposting again~

Since this arc is coming close to its end I thought I'd try spark up some discussion by asking everyone if they had any favourite moments and their predictions for some of the cast.

Gonna be a bias little bitch and say my favourite was Justin V Voyt just as an intro for the character and because that market place got fucced up proper. I also quite liked Yeong Suk vs Seven Seven.

I feel the Jonas League may abandon Jonas' job for a bit to deal with whatever the arc plot is with Jonas secretly doing so to gain his group's trust, maybe brining his morality and motivations into question later by someone like Brenda

Lucas will die and it is revealed that like Kenny from South Park he is doomed to live a miserable unending existence

Veronica gets btfo by Gideon again

Yen and Calvin solve some mysteries

Yeong-Suk is forced into helping with either the Onis or Robits after not winning the tourney as a way to prove Korea's superiority

(Gonna try and write more when I get home and my internet doesn't cut out from tunnels)

Okay, scrublords. I had the idea of a "balance patch" to allow everyone one chance (every now and then) to change up their characters moveset a bit. Either buffing/nerfing or just reworking (like I want to do). I'm in the progress of making the changes I wanted to myself.

JADEN
■ Added Ninja-Step, and Wallbounce. Enhancing his mobility, and going for more of that ninja vibe he should have. While also cementing him as the "anti-zoner" playstyle I wanted for him.

■ Removed Disguise because it didn't really flow with the rest of Jaden's kit, and was useless.

■ Removed Decisive Blow to compensate for his enhanced mobility.


JUSTIN
■ Changed Sound-Scythe so it's more of a shoryuken-styled attack.

■ Added Record-Spinner as his "hurricane" kick.

■ Now he should fit better into the shotoclone fighting style I envisioned for him.


BROOKLYN
■ Changed the system behind Dinosaur-Parry. Now, she has to be hit with certain attacks before she can use a different technique. Now, it should be more coherent, and flow a lot better. And should make more sense in a fighting game imo.

■ Added The Pteranodon Wing-Breaker as her anti-air counter-grapple.


BRENDA
■ Removed Rotation Blow because it didn't make sense with the rest of her ki.

■ Removed Mountain, and replaced it with Eruption. Because I thought Mountain was lame.


ABEL
■ Added grenade toss because I forgot to do it.

Voyt
- Scorch Of The West has been removed due to feeling out of place with the rest of Voyt's kit
- Bang Bang Boom is now a stun/breaker move as opposed to a pure damage move
- DRAW! has been removed due to Voyt's normals being firing his gun anyway
- Added the JJ Special to counter charging opponents (And get a lil reference to the death of an Old West legend)
- Added Trick Shot, a move to counter projectile parrys
- Added Sand slide as a distance closing attack

Ah, neat! I was wondering if we'd ever get the chance to do something like that. I'll probably hold off on it for now because I'm pretty happy with Inanna's moveset and I just spent the better part of a week tweaking Jill's. Maybe I'll do it if there's an in-story prompt for it.

Oh yeah, Jill'll be showing up in Japan once that's a thing.

Yeah, Voyt Vs. Justin was fun to read. Maybe that's just because I have a lot of love for Westerns, Space Westerns, and anything else resembling a Western, though. Gotta head to work soon but I'll list a few things.

Inanna will probably try to eat a Macguffin like the dumb baby he is and end up pissing off everyone everywhere.

Voyt will run into Jill and they'll spend more time referencing Westerns than actually fighting

I personally just wanna see Yeong-Suk in Japan getting pissed about everything everywhere.

Since I finally did my first post with Lucie, I just wanted to talk about her theme, since it's in French and I myself was curious about it (I could make out enough of it, such as the complete absence of the word black in the entire song, but not enough to fully understand it). Turns out, while it is a French version of Paint it Black, the lyrics have nothing to do with the Rolling Stones version (which, btw, is supposed to be a metaphor for depression). In fact, the cover isn't even called Paint it Black, but "Marie-douceur, Marie-colère", which translates to "Soft Mary, Angry Mary". I'll post the lyrics in a hider:





This actually fit Lucie a lot better than I thought it would. Glad I picked it. c:

BTW, I have no plans to edit my moves at this time.

My next character...



I needed a Howitzer agent. She's an Amazon and is designed to carry heavy equipment, preferably miniguns and rocket launchers (she likes things that go boom). She looks like she does steroids and her voice is creepily deep like a man's just not quite. Just another nightmare for Gideon.

Character model the Amazon class from video game Dragon's Crown. I think she's going to be the most manliest female in this game.

Changelog
JONAS
■ Changed Ki Decoy and Doctor's Orders by giving his clones temperature (see the first post for more details on how ki and ki sensing works).

■ Changed Live Dissection by combining all the properties from Scorpion's Calling with it.

■ Changed Cheap Shot to circle between three different shots - inhibiting ki sensing abilities, impeding motor skills, and a shot that does damage over times. This makes Cheap Shot technically a subcategory; the new moves as listed in order are: Amon, Parkinson's, and Overdose.

■ Added the fact that Jonas can buff his moves with ki in Fighting Style section.

■ Added Dexter Acrobaticus as a speedy way for him to outmaneuver opponents and live up to the statement that he can actually buff himself to "make him faster than he usually is and perform acrobatic stunts and dodge opponents."

■ Removed Scorpion's Calling; its move is now combined with Live Dissection.

■ Removed Visceral Cut by proxy of it being no different from a regular attack.

■ Removed Injection by proxy of it being no different from a regular attack.


THE ONE
■ Changed Top Hat Fucking Rocket Boost to be a controllable rocket that he can control for up to ten seconds before it explodes on its own. It as also been changed to where he can detonate the missiles on their own.

CALVIN PATCH NOTES:
-Style Revamped: Calvin now focuses on powerful yet slow basic attacks, with several of his special abilities designed to slow or outright freeze his opponents. However he is horrible at performing combos.
-Removed Blizzard Breath, Backhand, and Echo Clap.
-Added Slide: A move that allows Calvin to slide a short distance towards his opponent, creating a trail of ice spots that will slow the opponent if they walk over it. See Calvin's sheet for more details.
-Added Frost Punch: An attack that will deal damage and slow the opponent, with three levels of power.
-Added Chill Poke: A fast, weak move that will slow his opponent.
-Avalanche Sprint has been replaced with Avalanche Roll; Calvin will build up a large snowball around himself. When he chooses, he may roll towards the opponent. See Calvin's sheet for more details.
-Frost Snap has been replaced with Igloo: Calvin creats a dome of ice around himself, which he will quickly regenerate up to a max of 25% of his health within. However the opponent may easily smash it in a few hits, yet Calvin may errupt it and freeze any nearby opponents for 5 seconds.

JEREMY HALVIT/SYM-04 PATCH NOTES:
-Style Revamped: SYM-04's special abilities are scarce and powerful; His primary dependency is his grabs and normal attacks.
-Several Moves have been re-flavoured from Tail to his Claws.
-SYM-04 now has Scorpion Stab, a move that allows him to perform attacks while blocking.
-SYM-04's super moves have been revamped to Ki Harvest and a new ability, Unleash the Beast.

HANK KRIND PATCH NOTES:
-Taste the Sauce has been switched flavor-wise into a Flamethrower attack.

Where is the roleplayer in opposition that has not been decried as scrubby by its opponents in power? Where is the opposition that has not hurled back the branding reproach of scrubiness, against the more advanced roleplayers, as well as against its mod adversaries? Two things result from this fact:

I. Scrubs are already acknowledged by all Nomadic Fist roleplayers to be itself a power.

II. It is high time that Scrublords should openly, in the face of the whole world, publish their views, their aims, their tendencies, and meet this nursery tale of the Spectre of Scublords with a manifesto of the scrubs themselves.

The history of all hitherto existing roleplays is the history of role struggles.

I think you did a great job with character creation set-up. It was sandboxy enough to really let people go wild with the ideas they had, which I think lets people get a lot more attached to the characters they make and more interested in sticking through, but had enough limitations and a clear setting/style to actually give people an anchor to hold on to, instead of getting lost in an incoherent white void of literally limitless possibility, which I see some sandboxy RPGs fall into.
