"Yeah. The DNR will be out in about 5 minutes. They are only 10 miles away."

He says beginning to build a sandwich while he waits.

"They are bringing a big boat out so you can get a picture with the fish and they can officially record it."

"A picture?!"

Ele lifted her head and looked down at herself, tennis shoes, cut off shorts, tank top... And of course she had no makeup on and her hair was not done.

"I'm a mess!"

She said, quickly sitting up and fixing her hair.

"You don't need make up babe, don't worry."

He makes the sandwich and hands Ele the food for her if she was hungry. They keep waiting until a dot is seen off in the distance.

"Here they come."

He says untying the fish which is still quite lively. They pull up alongside Ele and Tyler, they drop a ladder and hand Tyler a rope which he ties to the side of the boat. Tyler climbs up with the fish and the DNR agent waits for Ele to help her out.

Accepting the food, Ele ate a protein bar and sipped on some water. When the boat came, she stood up and brushed herself off before climbing to the DNR boat after Tyler. Thanking the agent, Ele stepped back towards Tyler and went quiet, waiting to see what would happen.

They start checking the weight of the fish.

"58 pounds, 3 ounces. What test did you use?"

"It is spider wire fusion 16 pound test with the 8 pound test diameter."

Measuring the length.

"44 and a quarter inches. Male tackle record."

"I didn't catch it, she did."

He points to Ele.

"Oh, I am so sorry about that. Let me check for women."

He goes back into the record book and looks it up.

"Adult Female state record and definitive tackle record. This fish is recognized as a trophy catch, number 2 record overall in the state, number 5 nationally. Number 1 Adult female nationally, number 3 Adult female tackle record nationally."

The agent rattles off and produces a print off of all the records for the fish and says.

"You are wonder woman. Most men can't get a fish this big. Please, get over here under the canopy, we will add you to the records. Your name will be immortalized."

He says with a big smile.

The look of shock on Ele's face was evident. Apparently this fish was a big deal, and she had done something amazing. Shyly, she went under the canopy and stood for pictures with the fish. Every so often she would look at Tyler.

Through it all Tyler had an unending smile on his face. Finishing the documentation they tagged the fish then dumped it over the side.

"Thanks for helping us document it, that one was undocumented."

Looking at Ele he says.

"You did great, keep landing them like that, if you get another big one, let us know, the documentation is on going. Oh and 1 final thing I have to ask."

He looks over at Tyler.

"How did you get this far out on a flat bottom boat with no engine?"

"Oh, it has an engine, it is just a turbojet."

"I don't see a V8 in that thing."

"Not a ford turbojet, just a jet turbine made with a turbocharger."

The guy looks over at the back end.

"That little thing? Doesn't seem powerful enough to do anything."

"You would be surprised, I can actually hit about 95 knots on choppy water with that thing. It is about 115 horsepower."

The guy just shakes his head.

"Be careful man, that sounds pretty dangerous. But have a good trip."

He helps them down in the boat and unties them.

"Again, congratulations on that monster catch."

The agents take off once again leaving them to fish.

Back on their boat, Ele stared down at the certificate in her hand that claimed her as a new record winner. It felt almost as good as the time that she had been given the document that said she had been emancipated from her mother, but this time Ele had someone to celebrate with.

Tears sprang to Ele's eyes as she turned to Tyler and launched herself at him in a tight hug, her arms going around his neck.

"Thank you!"

She said, sniffling as tears sped down her face.

He hugs her tight.

"Set out for a fun day and end up with 5 awards for one of the toughest fish in the world to catch at any size."

Wiping her eyes he smiles.

"We could finish fishing now and you would probably be good with that huh?"

Still holding on, Ele nodded but smiled, gently kissing Tyler on the lips. Sighing she slid her arms down so they were resting on Tyler's chest and Ele calmed a bit,

"Uh huh, but you can keep fishing if you want. I'm kind of emotionally wiped out now."

"I will soon."

He starts eating his sandwich that had been sitting. Grabbing his pole, he casts out again and continues popping it and reeling it in, continuing this for 10 minutes he says.

"Alright. Need to check the GPS, find some stuff closer to shore."

After the emotional outburst, Ele calmed down and decided to take advantage of the sun and work on her tan, her certificate safely stowed in the duffel bag. She'd laid out near Tyler and had pulled her arms through her tank top and bra straps so she wouldn't have a tan line on shoulders, as well as pulling her top up to darken her stomach.

Dozing in the sun, Ele almost missed what Tyler had said,

"Hmm? Oh, sure babe."

She sat up and pulled her phone from its hiding place, then handed it to Tyler. Getting up, she stretched her arms over her head,

"We gonna go fast again?"

"I think just a leisurely pace, take a while to get anywhere."

He pulls up the gps, locating their spot then takes off heading towards shore. He travels for some time coming up to the bay once again but further down the bank from the boat launch. Traveling for a while he finds a secluded area with trees surrounding them, covered in lily pads and cat tails. Nodding his head he casts a frog swim bait into the cat tails and over the lily pads. Swimming it and hopping it through the lily pads. Just as it hops off the pad it is slammed by a small mouth bass. He rips in the line boating the fish then tosses it right back out.

Looking where they were now, Ele reclaimed her phone and immediately started taking pictures. She was definitely going to paint the scene. Taking pictures from different angles and positions, Ele thought to herself that when she completed this painting it would probably be the first one she would put up in her new gallery.

Smiling and putting her phone away so she could really take in the beauty of the place, Ele sighed,

"It is absolutely gorgeous here!"

She said, leaning on the side of the boat and reaching for a cat tail to feel the texture of it.

"It can get even more beautiful, trust me."

He chuckles and keeps fishing.

Touching the cattail, Ele looked over her shoulder to Tyler.

"How?"

"I will show you when you get back though a little later you will see something unimaginable."

He looks at her with a smile.

Making a face at Tyler, Ele got back into the boat and rummaged in her bag for her sketchbook. Settling down comfortably Ele studied Tyler for a moment and began drawing light sketches of him in her book. The last couple of pages had quite a lot of Tyler in them, but he had become one of the most important details in her life, and so her hands drew him.

He switches out the frog going with a little minnow lure, he tosses it up into the lily pads and swims it through. Stopping he lets it drop then suddenly sets the hook. A bright little round fish comes flying out and fights with intensity that you rarely see. He brings it in and shows her the fish.

"Bluegill. 50 bluegill a day per person and they taste really good but not gonna keep it."

He tosses it back and it swims right back.

When Tyler came over, Ele quickly covered her drawing, embarrassed that she had been caught drawing Tyler. Paying attention to the fish, Ele smiled and stroked the smooth scales before Tyler let it go,

"I think I love this place,"

Ele said quietly, going back to drawing, now working on a lilypad.
