I think I see a problem developing here. Why don't we all just try continuing the story where the last poster left off? If we just go with what we think is happening in our heads the story won't be consistent or make any sense. Read one another's posts carefully, then continue the story.

In my post I've tried to patch the holes in the events so far, introduce everyone to some degree, and put us in a specific time and place. Read it carefully and you should be able to continue the story with no issues!

@Jarrid I did notice that, and I appreciated the coherence. I think I have figured out what has happened so far, so I'm content. I'm gonna pickup in the dirt with my fellow space marine rejects.

I'll admit I assumed we were in the port first, figured that would be where the ships landed.

Nicely written bio. I think it would be cool if you were picked up just after we made planetfall if you are accepted. It would explain why you wern't with us on the first mission and give us some much needed repairs when we meet up! Our poor armour will fall off soon enough with what we're putting it through...

I've posted up to the main assault entering the chateau, adding to Wraithblade6's post with some more detail about getting inside.

I hope I haven't messed with any continuity there (I've checked and I think it's right). Let me know and I'll change bits if i have to!

@Bright_Ops It's fine. For this rp, I'd rather hate my character, because that will help me play more IC appropriately.

@Jarrid@HeySeuss

Challenge presented to the World Eaters: Two formerly cowardly PDF members forcefully possessed by a pair of daemons.

Secondary Challenge for all marines: There is a pskyer somewhere in the building able to implant daemons in the defenders, on top of Emperor knows what else.

Have fun.

Good timing, the squad Prodigal is about to engage is going to mutate drastically.

We should play the encounter with actual demons for the sanity-bending event that it is. I tried to make sure I was doing the Bloodletters right and I think I will take a casualty or two here.

What @Bright_Ops did gave us some much-needed challenge to the first scene. Suddenly, taking out those officers...well, they now discover that in desperation, adherents to the Dark Gods can sell themselves quickly, sell others out as sacrifices and bring much more potent foes to the battlefield. This should make all future encounters uneasy. And yeah, there is no Ordo Malleus and Space Marines, particularly these Space Marines, are not immune.

With how things are right now, I almost feel like Ywain should find a psyker or at least demon hidden in repair bay. It would be almost Space Hulk with the tight corridors and the fact that this older power armor might not even protect him from attacks completely.

Mk. III armor was pretty rugged, though Mk. II is extremely good quality, but maintenance intensive. If maintained well, he's probably fine on the armor front.
