The headlights cut through into the unknown night. The only light you have other than that is the stars. Your miles from anywhere with still a bit of distance to your uncle's house. You glance in the review mirror. She's asleep. In this moment, it's hard to believe what you know. It's hard to see the eleven-year-old as a ruthless killer. But you know the truth. The dossier on her sits there on the passenger seat. Even though it is closed, you've read it enough times to practically have memorized it.
The dossier continues, going into details of each assigned mission. The various disciplinary actions taken and training forced upon the child.
Though it says the girl killed 13, you know that number has since increased. Thus why you were here, on the run.
You were far enough away to not worry about a tail. Besides, currently, those in Shadowfade were a bit preoccupied with the Feds at the moment. But not all of them would get arrested. Besides, the Feds were not that great either. No doubt they'd take the girl away. A feat of experimentation, there could be a lot they could learn. And even if they weren't going to do tests, they still would probably remove her. She was a danger. But not to you.
The scientist had promised that you would not be seen as a threat. She would listen and obey. Besides, if she didn't you had the secret phrase which when spoken would knock her out.
You turned your eyes back to the road and contemplated your predicament. You hadn't even known about Shadowfade until recently. All of this had been thrust on you. Should you just turn around and turn the girl over to the Feds? They could handle her. If the dossier is right, she is a danger. Or do you use this opportunity for yourself? Using the girl's skills you could no doubt build a little secret empire of crime. You'll constantly stay on the move so no one can catch you but who will stand against you when you had her? Or was that what you really wanted? Would that be what is best for the girl? Your uncle had a place in small, out-of-the-way town in the mountains. You could both start a new life there and no one would be the wiser. The kid had seen enough sorrow, why add to it?
Either way, the decision was yours. As you drove along that empty highway you knew that whatever the decision was, your life will be different.
Hi,
So been thinking about this for a bit and thought this might be fun to bring up again to see if anyone is interested.
You'd basically be playing the driver. Who you are, what your past is - all of that is up to you.
How you proceed is also up to you. And everything - the choices you make will have consequences (which could be good, not all are bad).
Even turning the child over to the FEDs is an option (that won't kill the story - i.e. cooperation. The child will only obey you so you're still going to be dragged into it mwuahahaaa).
I'm open to some alternatives as well (no fantasy please).
For example, A Federal agent who the driver goes to.
We can discuss.
About Me:
- 27 male
- Mid-Casual, low-advanced pending the story, scene, number of characters and a bunch of variables.
- Rules: m/f relationships only; Fade to black - I have no issue referencing adult themes but I won't write explicit; No one liners. 18+ (I'm 27. Not only are some of the themes darker but I'm not comfortable doing anything romance-wise with underage kids)
- Post Frequency: I don't always post every day. Sorry. But I do try to get replies frequently.
- OOC: I'm open to it but at the same time I won't push you. I don't like to be a bother to people but if you're willing to chat - then awesome.
- Romance: I'm open to it. This particular story due to the theme doesn't have any initially. But I can look at bringing in someone to partner with your MC. I can write either gender so no issues there. m/f relationship only.
- I prefer PM only.
Send me a message if you're interested.
Thanks for checking my thread out.
