Augmented Sykrott
The Sykrott are a species of simian-like humanoid aliens who co-existed with UFP culture for centuries. Long before the Federation had spread across the stars of it's system, the Sykrott ruled a small but mighty interstellar empire within the Jarnsaxa System. However, by the time the Federation made first contact with them, the Sykrott empire was old and decaying. The Sykrott, rather than go to war against a more vibrant and powerful empire, decided to ally themselves with the Federation instead. Thus, the Sykrott were taken under the wing of the Federation, with certain limitations placed upon them. The foremost of these was that no Sykrott was allowed to carry arms, save in times of war. Those Sykrott who did join the UFP military usually served as shock troops due to their physically powerful, stocky build. This sanction was soon lifted after a decade or so and Sykrotti were given the rights of a normal UFP citizen.
Sykrotti technology, at the time of the empire's first contact with the United Federation of Planets, was very advanced. In some ways, it was even more advanced than that of the Federation at its height in the early-era of the Federation's influential expansion, though Sykrotti military technology lagged somewhat behind its Federation equivalents. This was one reason why the Sykrotti were able to integrate into Federation life so quickly as a unified culture.
In this age, the mighty Sykrotti Empire has collapsed into minor states based on a single planet. Immigrant Sykrotti have made their homes the Federation for generations, and have little to know knowledge what has become of their ancestral home and native people.
Sykrotti physique itself is robust yet sleek and can withstand tremendous punishment. A typical Sykrott stands around the same height as an average human male, and his frame is extremely muscular and solid while a females is much more curvaceous in build. A Sykrott's arms and legs are long and heavily thewed, and their hands and feet end in taloned fingers and toes capable of tearing an enemy's throat out with ease. The skin of a Sykrott is usually blue or white and leather-tough, and their heads are usually covered in a thick mane of oily hair. Their bodies are extremely durable and agile, making them capable of absorbing impacts that would break in a human. Jagged fangs fill their mouths, and when an Sykrott speaks, it is in a gruff tone. Their words are sparse, brutal and straight to the point.

Racial Qualities
- ( 4 )Primal Senses: Immediately, each of Mal'akuth's five senses have the option to be flipped into overdrive, bombarding his mind with sensory information. The acuity of his eyes become astonishing, granting him the ability to see distances and detail that those of others races could ever hope to experience. They also function in a complete lack of light, allowing him to fight in absolute darkness as if it were the middle of the day. Mal'akuth's ears become highly sensitive, able to pick up sound from yards away and even hear the heartbeat of an enemy who comes within a few dozen feet. His nose becomes hyper-focused to a variety of odors, especially to blood, sweat, and endorphins, which allow the Apex Predator to essentially read the bodily functions of his enemies, giving him knowledge of their emotions and their level of fatigue. Even his sense of touch becomes superhuman; he can block out pain completely, feel vibrations through the air, and find pressure points on non-humanoid bodies through the pulsing of their veins. These senses, when used in combat, turn the beast that is Mal'akuth into a veritable monster, able to fight in almost any situation with tremendous sensory advantages.
- ( 4 )Primal Reflexes: With his animalistic senses of sight, hearing, touch, and smell, Mal'akuth's reaction time becomes unmatched. He can predict the movements of his enemies, and his awareness of his environment becomes almost supernatural, allowing him to both dodge attacks and find ways around defenses that would have been impossible for others to accomplish. Like the perfect beast, he almost seems to have an ability to see into the future. While this is not true, the fact that it appears to be the case can deal incredible psychological damage to his opponents, who find themselves face-to-face with a man who can avoid almost anything based on nigh-perfect dodges. This, paired with his limb augmentations, turns him into a logistical nightmare, darting from place to place with little need to stop and register the situation.
- ( 4 )Primal Strength: In addition to his enhanced senses, Mal'akuth gains the ability to harness the incredible strength that comes with releasing one's grip on all restrictions, becoming a beast whose body fights not to survive, but to reach the top of the food chain and crush everything else underfoot. By using this incredible source of physical power, the Apex Predator can gain access to a well of strength. Suddenly, he is capable of ripping through material defenses with his bare hands and claws. Although he is far more skilled at dodging attacks, his newfound strength gives him the option of fighting straight through them, parrying techniques that would otherwise have been impossible for him to withstand. When paired with his reflexes and his unmatched senses, this strength becomes the killing weapon that took down hundreds of elusive bounties. It is something that turns Mal'akuth into a true expression of an Apex Predator—the beast at the top of the food chain.
- ( 3 ) Voice of the Hunt: The true name of the horrible roar that bellows from his mouth as he chases after his enemies in an unstoppable killing frenzy. To others, this noise is unbearable. It screeches at the back of one's mind and makes it difficult to breathe, reducing the fighting ability of anyone unable to hold their own in the face of such a sensory onslaught. The psychological effects of a constantly roaring, screaming, unflinching Mal'akuth can also chip away at the psyche of those who somehow defend against his attacks. He strikes at the mind as well as the body, proving that he is the perfect predator.
Personal Qualities
- ( 2 )Tactician & Strategist: Mal'akuth may not be the most sophisticated combatant in the bounty hunter occupation, but few understand the simple and effective strategy behind his methodology. While many high-ranking fighters use complicated battle planning, textbook maneuvers formed over decades, and other staples of advanced combat, Mal'akuth is known to dive headfirst into battle with no regard for politics or subtlety. This effectively negates the 'song-and-dance' of battle, bringing it from chess to checkers in a matter of seconds. With no time to formulate or enact complicated plans, many opponents find themselves in a gladiator's arena, fighting with sticks and spears instead of complicated maneuvers. Mal'akuth excels at this. By pressing the attack and giving absolutely no time for his opponents to think, speak, or scheme, he brings his own strengths to the fight while eliminating the potential advantages of his foes. Still, he is capable of surprisingly complicated tactics every once and a while.
- ( 2 )Death Sense: Mal'akuth has an extreme sense of self-awareness regarding the condition of his organs and inner tissues. Most individuals fail to notice anything of the sort unless a patch of tissue sends them clear messages of pleasure or pain. Such is not the case with the Apex Predator. While he generally ignores it—he disregards most things in the same way—his nervous system has bonded with his consciousness in a way that he can immediately and instinctively diagnose his current condition if he were so inclined. This can include how much Adrenalin is pumping through his system, how much internal bleeding he may have and what kind of poison might be in his bloodstream. This extra sense has granted him an extreme level of self-awareness on the battlefield.

- ( 4 ) 1st Class: Bionic Limb Replacements: Life as a bounty hunter has put Mal'akuth in harms way more times that he can count. Many have resulted in Mal'akuth losing a limb or two. As a result, many of of his limbs, specially his legs, had to be fully replaced by bionics while his arms were saved by taking on bionic implants. His BLR's are specially constructed in two layers. The outer face is a hard, ultra-dense nano-crystalline metal veneer bonded to an inner layer of high performance, thermo-set, molecular polyethene. The outer layer material lightweight in nature and features impact-resistant structure. The inner layer acts as an energy-absorbent padding for energy dispersal, and helps prevent blunt trauma effects from high velocity impacts. The highly advanced materials used in the bionics construction are very resilient to penetration and lightweight compared to more conventional materials.
Within the BLR, Mal'akuth has stored a variety of sophisticated weapons ready for use. Stored on the right forearm is a piece of defensive technology that projects a cohesive energy field in the form of a disc, protecting him from assaults that might otherwise slay him outright by redirecting them away from the projector, dissipating and absorbing an energy blast, or robbing them of all kinetic energy. Stored within the undersides of his arm implants are retractable knives eight inches in length and are capable of piercing some metal alloys. Within Mal'akuth's right knee cap is a hidden mini-cannon which fires a single shot capable of obliterating a decent sized house.
- ( 3 ) Custom Stock Model Two: Paragon Blade: The Paragon Blade is an Energy Sword crafted beautifully from an super alloy. When its power cell is activated by touching its control located on the hilt, the blade is sheathed in a lethal corona of disruptive energy. This energy field allows the blade to carve through flesh, bone and most forms of armour plate alike, making it a highly effective close combat weapon. What makes the Paragon Blade so special is its disruption field generator, which is far more powerful than that found on a standard Energy Sword and which gives the blade devastating strength. In skilled hands, the sword can bisect even an armored tank plate in a single blow.
Luckily enough, Mal'akuth pillaged this weapon from bounty's corpse.
- ( 2 ) Gilded Mark III Crucible Rifle: The M3CR is a mid-range anti-personnel assault rifle that fires explosive .75 calibre kinetic rounds. The weapon is as fearsome as it is beautiful, with explosive rounds capable of ripping through or blowing apart a foe and a master-crafted gold-trim chassis of unsurpassed beauty, workmanship and artistry. Because of it's crude effectiveness the weapon is outlawed, yet is still produced by black market moguls.
- ( 2 ) M3 Umbra-Magnum: M3 magazine carries only 6 to 10 rounds of standard rounds, each weighing about 0.08 kilograms and with a diameter of .50 calibre. The pistol is able to fire either a single shot or a short, three-round burst with each pull of the trigger.
But what makes this weapon so special isn't its firing ability, but the bullets it fires. The M3 fires a variety of utility rounds which make the weapon extremely versatile. Most notable if rounds are the stun rounds capable of sending pulses of electrical energy once the bullets carpenters the body.
- ( 2 ) Devil's Hammer Hand Cannon: This weapons fires massive slugs that can turn unfortunates into chunks of meat, but generally have a low rate of fire and small ammo capacity. These deadly weapons kick with a strong recoil and are mostly used by enforcers or bounty hunters who aren't picky on the state of their quarry
The Devil's Hammer class is a simple and reliable weapon that is a compact twin-barrelled hand cannon, chambered to fire huge, custom-made soft alloy rounds that break apart on impact to cause horrific wounds. Intended as a powerful last line of defence should a hunter be ambushed or have the tables turned on him, Devil Hammer is powerful enough to bring down anything a hunter might have as a prey.

Amongst his people, Mal'akuth is an abomination. His abnormal growth and muscle mass has corrupted the standard stocky frame of the sykrott into a hulking giant of 6'3" ft with an astonishing weight of 324 lbs exactly. His monstrous body is wrapped in soft, ocean blue toned skin, like the currents of sea on a calm day. Coincidentally, there is further similarity between Mal'akuth and currents present within the linear patterns in his skin and the veins passing through the sea. These lines form intricate designs that cover his entire body, telling a story of a death and destruction. Though you would never know it, for the symbol is always obscured by locks of black hair, which fall just passed his shoulder blades and roll onto his face. His face has long since been a victim plagued by these obstructions. Often, stray, rampaging lochs will seek to interrupt the world seen through Mal'akuth almost black eyes, which discern that he has seen much more than his vicious features let on. This fact is reassured after hearing his voice that is filled with the certainty of knowingness from experiences passed.
The lower half of Mal'akuth's body has been replaced by a seamless transition just at his waist. Cold metal has replaced his his muscular legs, making clothing pointless. His feet, which are still humanoid, boast similar nails to his hands, curving upwards and then downwards like miniature sickles. Although somewhat bestial, these powerful limbs are capable of launching kicks that can cut through vehicles.

The relentless predator with a foreboding sense of mortality embodies Mal'akuth's personality heavily. Like a jigsaw puzzle with only black pieces, his psychological profile is almost impossible to complete; each factor in his personal view could have been caused by any number of traumatic experiences, and the list is almost endless. While the final result is simple enough to understand on the surface, the complexities of his true motivations are both astounding and heart-breaking, and even his closest friends—he has just a few—are privy only to the most basic of his feelings and opinions. Strangers choose not to question how the bounty hunter functions socially. They see him as a demon on the battlefield, a hunter of the damned, and hold no public opinion beyond that simple facet.
Although many of his personality traits and emotions are kept from the world around him, one is not; Mal'akuth is publicly known as an indomitable spirit of willpower and personal drive. From the outside, this is seen in his terrifying ferociousness in battle. What most cannot comprehend is that this drive to fight is all that he has. A childhood without safety, attention, or love; years scraping by on the harshest streets of the slums; have conditioned Mal'akuth into a self-defining fighter—a bounty hunter whose life has been so wrapped up in the struggle for survival that it literally embodies him. All other emotion is not only difficult for him to express, but painful to even consider.
All of the emotions that Mal'akuth finds useless or degrading are hidden deep within the flesh of his soul, heavily suppressed by the same discipline that him to survive his childhood. As a result, each major emotion that he shows is almost entirely under his control. He does not become elated unless he permits himself to feel the rush of positivity, nor does he become angry without a purpose to its expression. On a functional level, this allows him to utilize his powers and skills in ways no others can, with him accessing primal feelings whenever he deems it beneficial to battle. When looked at through a social perspective, however, it makes the man seem incredibly cold. He rarely smiles or shows any emotion at all, even when cutting down dissidents.
But the darkest, saddest truth is that Mal'akuth is in no way perfect. Where the outside world sees a silent, stoic warrior who can fearlessly stare down the armies of Hell, the walls of his personal quarters have heard the deepest cries of anguish from a man who has lived a life of tragedy.
The facade that most see—stoic, strong, and silent—is no less a part of Mal'akuth's true nature than it appears, however. Decades of pain have made him almost entirely immune to the physical trials of combat. Those years have also reinforced his willpower and resolve into a wall of indifference, making him not only immune to most psychological suggestion, but completely single-minded on the battlefield. This becomes far more menacing when coupled with his unique fighting style, one that is almost as suicidal as it is effective. With little care for his own safety, Mal'akuth will often risk devastating wounds in order to eliminate his targets.
In civil conversation, Mal'akuth is generally silent, preferring to listen to what others have to say far more than speaking, himself. Anything he says should always be taken seriously.

H I S T O R Y
Mal'akuth Toratall, the child of a Frixon Prime couple struggling for mouthfuls of water in the slums, was cursed from the moment of conception to lead an existence balanced on the tragic precipice of life and death. A premature birth by nearly seven weeks brought him into the world both significantly underdeveloped and so pale that he appeared to be stillborn. The midwife who delivered him famously called him the "ghost-child". His quiet but enduring wails and chilling, milk-white tears—symbols of his painful future—fell upon the deaf ears and ashamed eyes of his parents; the sadness sunk into his unwashed cheeks as the struggle of poverty continued on. Still, he lived, much to the surprise of the fearful and shallow couple. The unwanted child was a mark of inconvenience on their own quest for basic survival. Concerns over clean water, keeping a patched roof, and hiding from the parasitic gangs that infested the area tainted their minds with stress and suspicion. A tragic, common practice had Mal'akuth's father holding a cupped hand tightly over cracked lips, suffocating his own son to avoid detection from armed men looking for rent or carelessly owed money. Such was his fate, and the unfortunate, socially downtrodden, and ethically deformed lifestyle continued for many years.
Once he had aged a bit, Mal'akuth's parents began the practice of leaving him alone in their sparsely lit, one-room home for days at a time. A cup or two of water and a stale chunk of bread—he had begun to exhibit insatiable hunger—were the only things left to keep him company during the chilling, lonely nights; it was a sign of their bitter tolerance and his increasingly demanding presence in their lives. They would return days later, enraged at his cries of loneliness, or that his weakness had caused a glass to tip, allowing the hard-earned liquid to seep into the moldy floor. This harsh treatment continued until they could take no more of his frailty; they left him on the dangerous streets to fend for himself, which colored his life from that day forward.
The criminal underworld took Mal'akuth in, raising him within what only a decant group of murders and thieves could call a family. One couldn't say that the young sykrotti was happy, but the memories it presented created a rather positive dichotomy in relation to his earlier life.
Once of age, Mal'akuth took on the roll of an enforcer within the organization. Quickly Mal'akuth made himself known as a ruthless killer in which showed no semblance of mercy for those in which the organization deemed irredeemable. Often enough, there would be those who resisted the call to death and as a result who mare Mal'akuth's ever growing body with bullets, lasers and blade strokes. In obvious retaliation, Mal'akuth would rip them with the primal prowess of a sykrott, the staple of his enforcing career. But times came when injures soon became irreparable. Thus came the start of Mal'akuth's bionic implantation binge. Which for the most part remained singularly within his upper body.
Manhood arrived quickly, and Mal'akuth grew out of criminal life. Yet money didn't come easy. Work could only be found in the dangerous chemical plans of the underbelly. Work here was cruel and unforgiving. Life altering injuries were a common occurrence. Such an injury afflicted Mal'akuth, resulting in the lose of his legs. Again, only bionics severed to save his limbs. Thus resulting in the depletion of his meager savings.
Faced with a poverty once again, Mal'akuth made the choice to return to criminal life, this time, on the brighter side of the law. Mal'akuth answered the call of the bounty hunter, tracking down those who the Federation declares wanted and slaying them for the profit.
Thus came the birth of the Apex Predator.
