The fashionista's light frame demonstrated it's inadequacy for combat yet again when a rocket "gently" cruised into her. It was hard enough to knock the hat off of her head. Junko's only recourse was to fall onto her back, where she laid in a dazed state. Not long after, sans came rushing up to her, yelling loud enough to wake the dead.

"Death? Is that you?" The school girl's spinning eyes eluded to her state of vertigo. She sat up very slowly. "Wow, death. I can hardly believe it. That last rocket must have killed me." Junko reached out to touch "death." But he was a bit further away than her eyes perceived him to be. "You know, I waited a long time to see you. But I'm not so sure I want to leave now. Things aren't so boring anymore. Could you maybe wait a bit longer?"

@Conch Shell VII OOC: I edited my post. But to be fair, I don't play TF2, Gary's mod, etc. I can only go by what you write.

The quiet that onset once more upon the jungle after the chaos had all well unfolded was broken again, albeit distinctly this time by the thud of Jane falling out of the tree and upon the beast. Despite the great distance, it seemed they both lived - or whatever qualified as being alive in either of their cases - and that the red man was still capable of talking. Of course, not before the cat sat itself down and let him slide free of its back and on to the forest floor. Junko and the reaper had already pressed on not far from the other two, leaving them to work out the results of their survival.

Looking back to the man, who seemed he might be sore after such a fall, the cat inquired, "Not as you imagined to be 'rescued'?"

Jane suddenly looked up and fixed the Harbinger with an annoyed stare. "What, did I imagine I would get bailed out of danger in the middle of a jungle by a hyperactive schoolgirl with questionably-colored hair and a rapid-fire smallarm and a talking animal? No. No, I did not."

That done, Jane hesitated for a moment, then sighed heavily and looked down at his feet. He reached behind him and pressed a hitherto-unseen button on his backpack, and the parachute suddenly zipped back inside with a soft thwump. That done, he absently kicked a dead branch lying on the forest floor, then began to trudge along slowly, slowly fishing rockets out of a pouch around his waist and loading them into his launcher. "...L-Let's just keep going. The kid's gonna need all the help she can get."

The fashionista blinked a few times before the skeleton came into focus. "Well... sure, you can help me up." The school girl gave her hand a shake. "I think it's safe to say you're not death. What IS your name?" Junko's ears twitched. She thought she heard someone say "questionably-colored hair," but was still too out of it to tell who it was and if they were talking about her. they'd better not have!

Offering a deferring nod, one that also carried agreement, the tremendous and arcane beast set about on its way in pursuit of the young woman who had - as strange as it sounded - sought out death. This was not so much an ill omen as one might normally take it, life and death being parts of the cycle, but was made it problematic was that she had done so at all to one of its many faces. In short, who knew just what she was getting herself involved with? They needed all the assistance they could get, even if that meant only keeping her out of trouble throughout their journey; she as with the others all had proved they had some sort of uncanny talent.

It was not long before the supernatural accuracy of the cat's tracking talent found her for their pair, the equally unlikely duo finding her still in conversation with the small skeletal figure. The Harbinger at first thought to voice himself, but the curiosity of just what was going on before him led him to hold his tongue and only perk forward the cups of his ears. Granted some might say this would result in his death, almost assuredly with death itself here, although that had no real affect on him. After all, satisfaction did bring him back.

"So death is a duo? Fascinating!" Junko batted a few leaves off of her skirt. "Ugh, I'm all dirty now. I'll have to change, but I'll have time for that later." The fashionista turned on her heal. "We still haven't reached our destination yet. Let's go!" It felt like they were only maybe a hundred feet away from the rubble of the school, and the jungle was already breaking away into a different landscape.

Anyone familiar with a post apocalyptic movie scene would recognize the area as such. The hot, humid jungle immediately gave way to a dead city. The air was drier, colder, and it was raining. While some of the buildings were still getting power, there were no people immediately visible at these locations. There was a billboard with the city map set up in front of a visitor center. The school girl was quick to approach and inspect it. "Okay! It looks like we're getting pretty close to the shopping center. And just in time too, because I could use a change of clothes." After her announcement, Junko looked up into the grey sky and stuck out her tongue. The familiar child's pass time of trying to fill your mouth with rain drops.

The Myst could not understand the female's desire for material possessions. Why not simply transcend flesh and bone as it had done? But, given that there were several members of this group that seemed to lack Nirvana, it may as well concede. Shooting forwards, leaving an iridescent trail, it came to a shop that seemed to have suitable materials. With a wave of thought, it forced the lifeless plastic women in the front to march outside and back to the Junko.

Jane trudged through the jungle, silently staring at his feet, rocket launcher dangling from his shoulder. Eventually, he stumbled forwards into a long-dead city, looked around him and sighed again and slumped down, staring at his feet. He didn't know what he'd been expecting, but this only seemed fitting somehow.

As he was looking down at his feet and at the cracked asphalt beneath him, he didn't see the formless mass of color swirl overhead. He only became aware of what was happening when he heard the sounds of marching footsteps. He looked up, only to see a small squadron of mannequins marching towards them. He gasped, stumbled backwards, and raised his weapon, such as it was. "Oh God, you've got to be kidding me. INCOMING!"

"this will be fun" sans says as sans's scythe vanishes only to be replaced by a larger, more menacing one. "ready to go?" sans says as his right eye lights up in a blue flame and where he stands the cracked pavement seems to decay instantly.

Instantaneously becoming soaked, the tawny, striped predatory behemoth went from looking most resplendent to as damp, battered and worn as the rest of the city; as though the grey environment and downpour influenced it. The change was not so much an actual one, but rather an illusion created by their perceptions having been so radically changed. The wet, miserable environment only devolved further with the ruins that seemed to encroach upon it from every angle. No other interruption, short of the rainbow mist appeared to stand out; not the red of Jane's coat, the flashiness of Junko's clothes, and certainly not the grimness of the tiny reaper.

"I am already not fond of this place..." The Harbinger's snarling voice rose slightly as an unexpected army of lifeless figures soon shuddered to life.

"... and certainly not fond of those." It added as Jane snapped up his weapon in the direction of the seeming danger, somehow made animate by the mist.

All of the commotion caused Junko to quickly close her mouth and look around. The water blew her cheeks up like a chipmunk's. Upon seeing the mannequins, the fashionista spit out her entire payload of water into the walking doll's face before wiping her mouth on her arm. Though it wasn't purely out of surprise, she was laughing too.

"Teleporting cats, missiles that don't kill, the embodiment of death, walking mannequins just don't surprise me at this point." She rested her bat on her shoulder. "Eh, I have yet to get attacked by anything yet. The fact that there are mannequins nearby means there must be a shopping center nearby." Junko jogged past the mannequins. "If you want to do some serious silent hill shit to me, you'll need to come on back here!" And with that, she vanished inside the clothes store.

The Mysts found themselves watching on in disdain as the female completely ignored its attempt to help... had she changed, somehow? But, in any case, the mannequins were no longer of any use. Ceasing its control, they collapsed to the wet ground, as lifeless as they had ever been. Then it shot over to the Harbinger - though the beast, too, looked different, its energy was the same. That was comforting.

Jane panted heavily, glancing around at the again-lifeless mannequins, then shivered and lowered his weapon. "...Son of a bitch," he muttered, lowering his weapon slowly. "I hate magic so much."

And that was apparently all he had to say on the subject. He slowly trudged over the sidewalk, sat down and rested his forehead in the palms of his hands. He set his weapon down next to him, sighed heavily and just slumped down, with nothing more to contribute for the moment.

The Dilemma A Friendly Inconvenience

The rain just wasn't doing it for him today. His whole nest was drenched, couch soaked through, fig supply washed away. Not to mention the amount of thudding and bouncing that was going on overhead. Arnold grumbled and groaned as he trudged all the way back to the little mound of sand that singled out his nest, determined to find out what was causing so much of a ruckus.

It wasn't until he popped his head out the top of his little mound did he realise the extent of what he had just walked into. "Eek!" He squeaked as a mannequin fell not two inches from his very front door. Shaking like a twig in the breeze, he popped his head up again and surveyed the damage. "What on earth?" He questioned, climbing all the way out of his tunnel.

One hand scratched the top of his head in bewilderment, the three free arms resting on what could only be described as his hips. "My, my. Today looks to be a bad one for all." He couldn't help but chuckled at the sight of the half drowned lion and the man sitting on the curb, a little taken aback at the sight of the grim reaper though.
