The moon's light shone upon the forest, shadows of the trees looming over the path. Adelaide gazed at the scenery as her hooves carried her through the woods. The path she was walking on was littered with leaves and broken branches, making her steps loud and easy to notice. Adelaide loved being out at night, since everything was quiet and calm, and the moon made everything look beautiful in its ethereal light. Not many animals were out at the time, so she could finally take a walk without having to listen to noisy birds or humans talking as they walked down the path. She sighed, wishing that she could live with her family in the city. "Whatever, if I did I'd be dead." She muttered, thinking out loud.

Lila would sigh as she shrugged off her yellow jacket. It was a hot summer night, and she needed to be able to sits and be comfortable. She flopped the thing ontop of her Lucky Backpack and relaxed a bit in the cheap folding chair she brought for this camp out.

Things had been going fine so far. It rained a bit in the morning, she got some reading done, washed up with the collected rain water, made a sandwich out of some cold cuts so she wouldn't have to mess with making a fire. Went fishing and berry picking most of the day, and started her dinner fire with whatever was around that had managed to get dry by then.

As the sun set and the moon rose, she had started her dinner, roasting marshmellows over some coals on the side. Now she was overheated, and needed to cool down some. She'd been able to get her relaxing on for a while, but as her belly was full and the fire was dying...she'd heard some movement out beyond her camp, and what she thought sounded like speech.

Adelaide kept walking, but began to stray off the path and into the thick forest after she saw a fire nearby. "Another camper?" She whispered to herself, still watching the fire. "Maybe I can scare 'em off, or something." She mumbled, and started walking to the direction of the fire, but still stayed off of the path, to use the foliage for camouflage.

Adelaide stopped when she got close enough to see whoever was camping in her part of the forest.
