Hello everyone!
I've got an idea for an slightly arena-type RP.
THE PLOT
Welcome to the Academy.
The Academy is a school wherein all grades of students go to school. It hosts a fine mix of middle-school students, highschool freshmen, and people who have long surpassed the horrid portion of our lives that we call "puberty". Your character is one of the many students who frequent the school.
However, your student is not as "regular" as he/she appears to be. He/She may be a traveler from a far-away fantasy land, or a drop-out from a space piracy front. He/She may have fought ferocious dragons or may have hacked into the CIA's database when he/she was 5 years younger. As long as your character has magic, technology, or superpowers that allow them to defend themselves, they'll be fine.
The twist kicks in when a selected amount of these "unique" students are warped to an alternate world. Here, a battle between good and evil will take place, and our special students happen to be our participants.

THE SETTING
The Academy was meant to be located in a fictional country(The author is still thinking of a good name), which is isolated from global conflicts and economical distress. Human culture and history circulate within the country. If Thravius Blunderbliss lifts his magic broadsword over SYM-39586's body and shouts "I shall banish you in the mane of Odin!" and Robert Walker is all like "Isn't that the Norse deity?", or if James Connor makes a corny Chuck Norris joke and Blademistress Rose Elvin does not understand it at all, that'd be fine with me. Heck, I'd even enjoy it.
The alternate world wherein the battle will take place is meant to be compromised of many different worlds. These worlds are all linked to each other by "portal stations", which will serve as a means of transport between worlds. One specific landmark in each world will be designated as the portal station.
Here is a list of worlds I have considered including:
THE TOURNAMENT
Students will be equally divided into two teams: the good guys and the bad guys.
Each world within the battlefield wherein the battle takes place will have a designated arena wherein a set of rules will be imposed. Fights will take place, and students will get eliminated. Eventually, either the good guys or bad guys will come out victorious. Battles can either be 1x1 or can involve more than two students, at the choice of the contenders.
However, no matter what rules are set, only one side will definitely win a battle.

That's it! I'm somewhat new to RPing, so I would appreciate all the help I can get. I might even allow a much more experienced RPer to GM for me, why not?

- The "Real" World: A copy of the town that the Academy is located in. The portal station will probably be in the Academy itself.
- Argon Estate: A medieval town owned by feudalistic nobles.
- Space Frigate: A large space station.
- Zeus' Imperium: A cluster of floating islands, with a grand arena resembling the Colosseum in structure located in the largest island.
- The Void: ???

- No God-modding. The golden rule of all RPs prevails in here too.
- I would like to keep power levels at mid-tier. I will do further research in T1 tier levels.
As for now, time control and reality warping abilities are restricted. I, along with any kind souls who volunteer to help, will have the final say. - If a battle is to take place, all users who are to be engaged in combat need to have each other's consent.
- Original characters only. I wouldn't allow Naruto to fight in here, but his brother who also happens to be Anakin Skywalker's son and Aquaman's grandmother may make the cut.
