Mikey couldn't respond. He clutched the phone tightly and clenched his teeth before muttering his acknowledgement. "R..Right. Get back to the hero hall immediately.." He ordered, hanging up and rushing out. He looked back to Bruce and waved him down.

The earth revealed no odd presence within Tech-Mo. The attack appeared to be over. But without much effort, they'd put Alvios out of commission. Were they just toying with them? What kind of sickening.. Mikey shrugged off the thoughts and headed back towards the hero hall.

~ Chapter 142 ~

Order Of Chaos 101: Adarine

The plans couldn't be held back for anyone. Things had to keep moving forward. This entire situation was bigger than any one person, and Mikey intended to see it through to the end. Right now, he was speaking with the guard, and reviewing the defensive perimeters of Tech-Mo. It might have not made a difference if Ada, or any of the Order attacked with all of their strength, but sitting back and taking it would lead to their doom. Perhaps, if they were to keep Ada entertained, she wouldn't decide to wipe them out. It was an unfortunate circumstance.

Geode stood in front of Bruce, Jenso, Oswald and Jeff, with a console near him. They were organised in one of the spare rooms. It wasn't glorious, but there was just enough space for Geode to talk. He sighed and looked over the attendance, aware that Alvios was out of commission.

"Today we'll be reviewing Ada," Geode started, "The ludicrously curvaceous witch who seems to feed off of the suffering of others. Her sadism and chaotic behaviour, mixed with her veiled capacity for strategic manipulation, makes her a fearfully difficult person to fight against effectively..." He paused and pressed a button on the console nearby. A holographic image of Ada's body flashed next to Geode. She stood about 5'8'' tall, and had a lithe body frame.

"Physically, we don't know her strength. But it can be assumed that she's not very durable, as Jenso was able to knock her out with a single flame dragon punch, while in his base form. It seems she is frail, and not very agile without the aid of her purple ooze. The ooze in question however.." Another hologram appeared surrounding Ada, a torrent of purple goo like the stuff she'd conjured in the past.

"I've titled it Malice Muck. Its density ranges. As we've seen, it can become as hard as steel, or as fluid as water. I don't doubt she can create gaseous substitutes as well. It is resistant to all forms of magic, but appears to fall apart when met with pure Ki. Arki has a grand effect as well, but we don't know exactly how strong it can be if it's focused properly. We also don't know the limits of this goo. Ada uses it offensively, defensively, and can create semi-sentient clones of whomever she wishes. The clones themselves are capable of match Jenso's strength, on their own, and cannot be defeated without overwhelming them with Ki."

"Ada on her own, would seem like the least powerful out of everyone in the Order, in a one-on-one encounter. If she's thinking strategically, she won't try to fight any of us if we demonstrate a great deal of power. This goo can move fast and be created even faster. With that in mind, we'll focus on her more dangerous ability: Mind control." An image of Dacer flashed into view, and Geode continued.

"Dacer, A Gaian. According to Ross, Dacer's power is comparable with Lark's. As his is now, in his base form, he may be able to match, or outmatch, all of our trumps. According to our Intel, Ada may be able to have him access his one with nature transformation as well. In that form, I can't even begin to fathom what we'd be up against. Ross is a great asset, however. He's taught be a great deal about Dacer." Geode paused and changed the hologram into one of Dacer's bow, enlarged and detailed.

"The windslash bow. Gaian weaponry is unique. It is created with an extension of Gaia's Ki, which means it can exist outside the body for much longer than regular Ki. However, if the weapons are dropped for more then ten seconds, they disperse entirely, as if they were to die. If this was to happen, a Gaian's energy source would fall by one third, as summoning a new weapon is costly. Unfortunately, Gaians and desummon their weapons at no cost, instantly. Disarming one is particularly difficult as it is, so this might not be a viable option. But if the opportunity presents itself, go for it immediately."

"We should instead focus on Ada's manipulation ability, as it presents a simpler option. If we can find the candle associated with Dacer, we can break him free of her curse. We don't know their limits, however, or where she'd even hide it. That's why I'll be playing recon, if a battle with Ada were to occur. If I'm correct, she's using void energy as a primary resource, which means I'll be able to track the candle if I can focus for long enough. Unfortunately, in this body, I am frail and powerless, otherwise. Keeping me safe will be yet another priority." Geode paused and waited to see if there were any questions, just yet.

Oz raised a question for Geode. "So you can exist without a vessel but cannot perform any of your usual actions. Am I right?"

Geode looked to Oswald, hesitating to answer for a moment.

"I was born of the void, so yes. I am virtually powerless without a tether to this world. Something like the tether that you and Jenso sunk into the ocean," Geode spat, "I am not quite sure how I came to consciousness to begin with, but without something like my fortress, I am limited to the confines of bodies like this one. Anything I do, it limited by what this golem can do. But void energy exists outside of what reality deems possible, meaning that even in my ethereal form, I should be able to sense it, even if I cannot fully identify and deconstruct it."

Jenso listened closely to Geode and sighed. "At the very least, we'll want to seperate Dacer and Adarine from eachothers when we do end up confronting them. They're both incredibly powerful, and if they work together we might not stand the slightest chance. But that's OUR greatest strength...teamwork. Ada will consider it as just another one of her games...but she'll probably have the candle guarded in some way. Either by Dacer himself or by something else." Jenso calmly stated.

"I think we should split in three groups...One to fight Ada and to keep her distracted, one to keep Dacer busy, and one to find the candle. But we'd be spread pretty thin that way, though."

Oz nodded in agreement to Jenso's idea. "Seems good. I'll just touch on the detail that if we do split up like that no one is allowed to fly solo. We should reduce group size to two if anyone needs to go solo. If anyone runs alone they run the risk of being picked off by Ada and suddenly we'll have another large threat to deal with." He crossed his arms and stared up as he pondered. "Which would bring me to the next thought. How should we split up based on strengths and weaknesses?"

"That will be up to Mikey," Geode announced, "On the day before our attack. But, Jenso's idea is on the right track. We will certainly split our forces accordingly, but we cannot do so until we know what we're up against. We don't even know if Ada will be at the front gate, or high in the tower.."

Jeff sat there listening to the conversation the entire time and taking notes on his high tech tablet focusing primarily on what was mentioned with Dacer. Getting him back safely even now was still one of Jeff's highest priorities despite what Ada had made him do so far. "So the candle is made from void. Would explain why I had no real luck trying to find it with my older device. I wonder if I could come up with something to help in locating it, or at least make it easier for geode to find...", the inventor muttered to himself as he went back off into thought.

"Good point..." Jenso responded, and thought for a moment. "The woods near the Tower give Ada a lot of room to work with the environment and mess with people, though...If Ada had a choice, I think she'd use that to her advantage for her sick, messed up games. And..." Jenso muttered, pausing for a moment. "From my last encounter with the Order, it seemed like Yzeira was ignoring her for a moment. It might mean nothing, but...I think there's a higher likelihood that she'd be outside to defend the Tower, since he might not like her too much. It'd be the wisest move for the Order, too. They'd get to learn of our abilities, and they'd only be risking their weakest member." Jenso stated.

"They may not know most of our abilities, but our clash with Ada and Dacer might change that. It's not stupid to assume that they'd be monitoring the fight. Even if Yzeira himself is focusing on the giant tear in the sky."

"I might have been able to help you with that, Jeff, assuming I still had my original body. But trying to make contact with void magics, without void energy in your body, is impossible. At any rate, we should be prepared for Ada, as Jenso has said, but we don't know the scope of her powers. For now, I will adjourn this meeting. Tomorrow, I shall cover Rajaka in great detail." Geode nodded and shooed everyone out of the room, "Now get out. This is officially my room."

~ Chapter 143 ~

Order Of Chaos 101: Rajaka

The day passed quickly. More training, more reviews, and more talk of strategy. Finally, it was time for another one of Geode's seminars. This time he covered Rajaka. He looked over the trumps and sighed.

"Rajaka, the giant creature who's origins are unknown. His Ki output is astronomical, making his physical strength defy the laws of reality, and his durability and regenerative properties... Something we actually have absolutely no counter to. On top of that, his Ki seems to induce paralysis on a level beyond physical restrictions. It literally paralyses the soul." Geode paused.

"I have no real strategy against him. He is slow, but can shrug off most attacks, growing limbs back in a manner of seconds, and ignoring unfocused abilities. I just.. Really don't know what to say here. I was hoping you would be able to help me, actually."

"I actually do have one decent idea on how to counter that regeneration of his.. or well, at least slow it down." Jeff said as he held out his hand showing clustered up ball of nanos with began to shift into various shapes. "Honestly, I figured there had to be more then just being strong to be part of the chaos order of his and thus it became one of the major reasons I spent the last half year developing a magically enchanted alloy and breaking it down to produce huge mass of nanobots. If me or somebody else can manage to wound him, I can use these fellas to attack him from the inside by using the wounded area and they should at the very least, slow down his regeneration vastly."

Jeff then sat quiet again for a moment and let out a big sigh. "The only real problem I have though is finding a solid way to actually do damage to him. I got a few ideas, but they are more last resort sort of things."

Jenso nodded in response to Jeff. "I agree, his regeneration is a real problem to deal with. Because he relies on his brute strength, he's predictable in many of his moves at least...but he does have some ranged Ki techniques like Geode mentioned. I've experienced those as well. We'd need to dish out some fast, brutal attacks and damage him fast and severe enough so we can outdamage his rapid regeneration, and maybe focus most damage on specific areas of his body. But that's easier said than done. He's not stupid, and I could tell that he has a lot of experience in combat. They've lived for a really long time, after all." He added.

"It looks like both Arcane, Ki and Arki are effective on him. At least, that's what I gathered from my confrontation with him back in Feraldia. He regenerated from my arcane attacks very quickly though, so I think using Arki or pure Ki would be our best bet."

He turned to Geode shortly after. "Yzeira called Rajaka a Lok'Sha back in Feraldia. Does that mean anything to you?" He asked.

Geode blinked and thought carefully. "No, I have no idea what a Lok'Sha is," He said, finally. "I believe training your Arki might be your best option. His Ki is abnormal, meaning that if the Ki concentration in your abilities is too significant, he may be able to shrug them off. Using agile strikes, and cutting techniques might have more effect, similar to how Lark cut his arm off in Ferelda. Jenso was able to punch one of his arms off as well, but I think that may have been a product of both his sudden rage, and Rajaka holding back."

Oz thought about the solution to removing Rajaka as they spoke. It seemed feasible that a blood borne agent could put down Rajaka but the alternate was also quite possible. "While I would love to see Rajaka put down by something so convenient I fear he might have a counter. He could very well use his own ki to repulse the bots from his body once he's learned of their existence, regardless of the damage he would cause to his own body in the process. Given the possibility that he could purge his body and continue regeneration unabated we may need a plan to remove him from combat should that ultimately fail. If it comes to that we might need Mikey present." Oz nodded at the strategist. "Mikey has a more shock-resistant ability than my own. If he can bubble Rajaka I can take it from there and directly remove him from the fight by hurling him as far as I can. Under normal circumstances Rajaka can destroy my barrier like it were nothing more than air. If we combine that power while he is weakened however then we could have a decent shot."

The guardian paused and looked around the room dramatically. "Let's just hope we're not dealing with Zelriane and Rajaka together. The only times I've seen Rajaka he has been with Zelriane. Zelriane would counter the nanobots easily with his direct techniques and make trying to take out either of them a living nightmare. What should we do then?" He raised the question.

Jenso frowned. "What we do know is, Rajaka is very confident in his incredible strength. It's not a bad idea to take advantage of that, and try to trick him. If we manage to do that, though, we better make sure to land a solid blow in and make it count." Jenso added, and turned to Oz. "Mikey's bubble ability is incredibly hyper dense...but I don't think that it would be able to withstand a punch from Rajaka. I doubt that there's anything that can stop his sheer physical attacks. He is slow though, and this is what we'll have to use to our advantage as well." He stated.

"Yeah, as much as I have faith in Mikey" Jeff started to says in response to both Jenso and Oz, "I don't think it be able to hold him more then a couple moments tops, and besides we need to keep in mind that we most likely will be encountering him inside the tower and geode knows what alien substance it is made out. So I doubt throwing him far away will be even be possible unless he shows up outside the castle. To be frank, I'm worried just what it would take to bust a way into it or if it's even possible."

Bruce listened intently, following the flow of the discussion, tracking it from speaker to speaker. He tapped his finger on his bicep, forming an image of the monstrous Order member in his mind. Contingencies upon contingencies would doubtless be formulated and a hierarchy of priority for each suggestion needed to be established. Bruce believed that, so long as each plan was solid and clear, it would benefit their cause.
"At the very least," Bruce said slowly. "In a fight like one against the Order, seconds may mean the difference between survival and failure. If Mikey can spare the energy without risk of being crippled by having the bubble destroyed, it's something to consider."
He glanced at Jeff.
"Given that arrogance seems a common trait held by these Chaos members, I think getting in shouldn't be the issue. The cause for worry is really how we can make the entrance on our terms as opposed to theirs, because giving them the opportunity to separate us would be little better than charging against any one of them alone."
Bruce scratched one side of his face, eyes flicking from one of his companions to the other. He let his imagination run wild for a moment, piecing together potentially effective combinations of their powers. He knew his abilities could complement Jenso's for destructive results. If the rest of them could find equally strong ways to coordinate, it might give them an edge over the Order, who seemed to believe they didn't need to rely on one another's powers.

"That's fair" Jeff responded back to Bruce along wiyh giving one of his usual nods of agreement. "Thinking a tad into this now, the bubble idea could work in other ways like allowing us a moment to throw somebody into a potential attack or trap that would be strong enough to do substantial damage. Thanks for pointing that out." Jeff then proceeded to ponder what kind or atacks they could potentially set up in such a situation. If the bubbles focus was aimed at stopping brute strength perhaps something like a close hand wind slash could pierce through and do some good damage on Rajaka while he is vunerable. "Actually might wana discuss some ideas with Mikey now.."

"Mikey has voiced his concerns out being present on the battle-field," Geode cut in, "And though he is not against the idea, I would suggest not relying on the power of his techniques. Although his Ki and Arcane control is absolutely astounding, even from my perspective, his innate power isn't comparable to anyone here. If, by this weeks end, you can reach his level, I doubt keeping him nearby would be wise. But, if he agrees.." Geode stopped talking, disregarding the thought. He had no influence on whether Mikey would join in battling the order members or not.

"At any rate, it seems our knowledge only goes so far. I'll leave it to the rest of you to apply your ideas when the time comes. I've little more to contribute myself..." Geode concluded. He dismissed the group and lead himself towards the corner of the room.
