Nuclear war.
Although expected, nobody could truly imagine the tragedy, the pain, the sorrow, and the destruction that mankind inflicted upon itself. Humanity continuously amazed with it’s incredible advances in technology, knowledge, and power, but they were so fragile and susceptible to rage and greed. World War III took the lives of billions of people, and contaminated the planet with radiation and the debris of damaged cities, dying nature, and pure demolition. Nobody knew where to run, or if they even should since the act of nuclear warfare seemed so inhumane. All morals set aside, the action was taken and now the planet is marked with craters from bombs, and smashed, abandoned buildings. The majority of the planet’s terrain is broken, the once beautiful nature is decaying, and the atmosphere is flooded with radiation and embers. Supplies are running low, and food is becoming more scarce from the land being too infected or decayed to ingest.
In the year 2255, the people who are left run to the untouched corners of the planet to seek salvation, in hopes that they’ll be ensured safety, but the radiation will catch up and deteriorate all things organic. Many have gone mad from their loved ones dying or from their imminent death, resulting in some sort of purge. Rebellions are rising to seek some sort of avengement for the innocent lives that were lost, inspiring riots, fires, and continuous battles to break out.
Amidst all of the chaos, a conspiracy was revealed truthful in that there is a large city that is protected from the destruction and the radiation. Many government officials and huge company owners fled to this location for protection. The city consists of large skyscrapers, acres of farmlands, solar panels, bodies of water, and even highways, all encased in a foggy, translucent barrier that guards from radiation and the many post-nuclear repercussions. Tall walls that are heavily guarded lines the perimeter to prevent people from sneaking inside. The outsiders refer to this place as Nirvana.
Several attempts have been made by outsiders to break into Nirvana, but each time, they’ve been shot down entirely without even making a dent in their defenses. Many have become hopeless, accepting their death that is to come, but some factions still remain. The majority of them seek to enter Nirvana somehome, and some seek to conquer lands outside of it to improve their own chances at survival.
In the end, you’re always looking over your shoulder for whomever it is that’ll stab you in the back and take your belongings. It could be a helpless mother, a nasty faction member, a madman, a soldier, or the radiation.

Off the shores of a very cold sea, in a heavily forested area, untouched by civilization, lies an entrance to a facility that leads to a facility deep beneath the earth. Children ages 12 - 18 are held as part of an experiment to build an immunity to the radiation. They are heavily tested upon and are injected daily with specific serums for the bodies to adapt against. Shortly after the apocalyptic war, some government officials and scientists agreed upon this experiment as a last resort to save their species, hopeful that the results will be positive. They were ecstatic when they saw their theories come to fruition and their experiments became a success, but the immunity wasn’t the only gift that had been granted.
The childrens’ bodies began to morph, their DNA and their genetic makeup alternated which resulted in extraordinary abilities. Many of them were just given incredible strength, speed, and dexterity, while others showed signs of powers beyond that. Telekenesis, teleportation, shapeshifting, precognition, telepathy, pyrokinesis, and much more were welcomed into the equation. Many of the scientists were intrigued, studying them further, while others attempted to get the abilities for themselves. The scientists who tested themselves died within days from their bodies inability to adapt from the insufficient levels of hormones that the body naturally creates and is prepared for.
After a month of continued submission from the children, they decided to plan their escape once they had a better understanding of their abilities. They killed their way out of the facility and fled to a nearby town that is heavily populated by outsiders. The area is untouched by the war, but the presence still lingers. The streets are full of litter, the buildings are bare and robbed, and the helpless beg to all those that pass by. Those that make it by are the ones that fight and trade to ensure their own survival, but survivability is taken to a whole new level.
Some children left to venture on their own, while many of them found a new home in an abandoned, old mansion that has several rooms, but torn apart walls, and shattered windows. They survive on their own now, but their next big move is yet to come.
Alright guys~
I’m new here, and I’ve had this roleplay idea for awhile, so I just want to see if anyone would be interested!
It’s a post-apocalyptic, super powers, and open roleplay that I want to mess around with!
Once people show interest, I think I’ll further the process of making it an active roleplay and accepting players to join in!
If anyone has any questions or comments, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
