Appearance around 5'9" in height and relatively fit. Looks ten-fifteen years older than he actually is, with naturally grey hair and weatherbeaten face. Said hair is longer on one side than the other, with black burns on the shorter side implying it got caught in a fire. While not intentionally having a beard, he nevertheless has facial hair too thick to be called stubble. His eyes are a gray blue, and have a soft look to them that disarms people who don't know him.

Brief History:
Born into an astute religious home, Jerry Mordock was banned from the use of any cards. However, upon turning 10 he was given a gift from his uncle. A single card, an Ace of Diamonds.
This created a fascination in the young boy and he swore to himself that one day he would learn all he could about the cards.
Until recently he worked at the Joker's Lot Casino and has been favored as an eccentric entertainer outside of his near devilish skills with the decks and with gambling itself.
Also, due to wanting to keep his head down and staying on good relations with his family Jerry now goes by his stage name: Big Play.

Abilities/Skills:

- The Card Detective
Nobody can read another person like Biggs, it's what he does as a gambler. He is the king of personalities and can usually figure out what another person is thinking simply by their body language (to a reasonable degree, of course).

- The Stone Face of the Joker's Lot
At the same time few can bluff the way B.P. can. Some say that he can contort his face into just the expression needed for his enemy to make a play in B.P.'s favor. A true master of the bluff.

Appearance:
He is a tall thin man standing around 6'1". His hair slicks back and sticks out in odd ways and he remains clean shaven. He walks like a dancer onto a stage, but as if that dancer is also a waiter going to their table. It feels like the man is, at the same time, eccentric and astute. His eyes are a sharp green which seem to pierce outward, especially when compared to his very dark brown hair.
His arms are slightly longer than most people's giving him the look of some crazy walking scarecrow.
With a sharp jaw and a weathered face, B.P. Seems to appear young and spry sometimes, and other times old and weathered (he himself knows this and takes advantage of it whenever possible).
His skin is certainly pale, but not disgustingly so.

Current Clothing:
A dirty white waste coat with a dark grey blazer, engraved upon the blazer's lapel is a laughing mask holding up several cards. Still indeed a man who works for the Joker's Lot. The inside of the Blazer is a series of pockets wear he keeps his decks and other useful items.
Standing out in disgusting contrast, the man wears a pair of sickeningly yellow GTH pants.
Underneath his waistcoat is clean white button down and a black tie.
His shoes are a couple of winged dress shoes that were indeed an expensive grab.
The only other part of his attire that stands out is a pair of extremely dark shades. Which he wears when people began asking for his opinions.

Current Possessions:
Several decks of cards, some still in their package. Several Cigars, if indeed they survived. A very expensive walking cane, which the gambler does not need at all. A single book which seems to have its cover ripped off and replaced with a blank leather backing. It's contents known only to the gambler.
A single ace of diamonds, given to him by his uncle and kept very safe...

Reason for being on the ship:
The Gambler was just offered a new job and leaving his old place at the Joker's Lot. The reason for his clothing is that he had been wearing the same uniform for years and wasn't sure what else to wear until he got to his new job...

Other:
Though he is eccentric, he is not annoyingly so, and does lean heavily on his astute attitude. But, due to reasons with his family, he will not discuss his personal life with anybody. The Joker's Lot on the other hand...

I would like for you to describe his appearance a bit more. You haven't actually described much about his build and you mentioned nothing of his facial features, other than the fact that he looks older than he is. Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt are both in their fifties, but they still look good (according to societal standards), while others were not dealt as lucky a hand when it comes to genetics.

I'd like a bit more history on him, too. Specifically, how he got into archeology and why he made searching for the lost city of Muntab his life's goal. More stuff would be nice, too, but that's what I need the most.

Could you be a bit more specific with his clothing? Like, what type of shit is it? Does it have long or short sleeves? How many pockets do the pants have? Are the boots lace-up or zipper?
The same goes for his possessions. What arms are in the knife (scissors, saw, screwdriver, ect.)? Is the book paperback, hard cover or leather bound? He has a pistol, but no bullets? Also, where does he keep these things?

That's all I can find. I like the concept of your character. I was actaully going for a more "realistic" type of characters, but I get really feel that "zing" here that makes me intrigued.

The history could use a bit of beefing up, but it is not really a necessity.

You need to describe his appearance a bit more. Like his facial features.

For his clothes; does he wear anything under the waist coat and blazer? Does he go bare feet?

Where does he keep all of these things?

Other than those minor details, he's good. Nice concept and all.

Brief History:
Helana was born as the first child of a carpenter and a nurse in Denmark. She was an only child for no more than 16 months, when her mother gave birth to twin boys. She had a problem-free childhood. She did well in school, made friends easily and was even on the gymnastics team, where she did some competitions. All in all, she remembers her childhood as a good time with annoying little brothers.

As a gymnast, Helena took home several blue ribbons and gold medals. By the time she finished school, she was an elite junior gymnast and only quit because it would no longer be free.

During her early teen years, she made a friend while playing online games. He was American, which was interesting to her. They chatted every day, eventually moving on to Skyping, when that came out and when she was 19, finally, her friend came to visit Denmark. They had the time of their lives and made a pact that they'd visit each other each year, taking turns. True to their deal, Helena visited America for the first time the next year.

After school*, she went to the gymnasium, because that was what you did. While there, she chose Drama as her arts course and ended up loving it so much that she applied for an after school job at the local theater. She did not get a job, but she tried again the next year and got it. She started out as an assistant, making coffee and fetching things for the actors. Within a few months, she was running lines with the actors and started helping out with the costumes and when she finished school, she was hired as a full time member of the theater. She had her debut on stage four months later and it was the best day of her life.

When she was 22, her father got diagnosed with liver cancer. Helena skipped her trip to America that year. Despite surgery and radiation treatment, her father died the next year.

  Helena has been making her own clothing as well as costumes for herself and her colleagues for their stage performances in the theater for years and can sew both in hand and by machine, knit, crochet, tie knots and so on.

Appearance:

Standing 5'7” and weighting just below 190 pounds, Helena is a bit more than chubby. Most of her fat is on her breast and butt, but she does have a layer of fat on her stomach and thighs, too.
Her facial features are nothing outstanding in either direction; she would never be a model, but she is not ugly, either. Her jaw is a bit too wide, her cheeks are a bit too round and her nose is a bit too stubby. Her eyes are just about the only thing on her face she finds just perfect as they are and she adores the baby blue shade they have.
Her hair is shoulder length, fuzzy and damaged and dyed crimson. She usually keeps it in a ponytail so it does not get in her face.

Current Clothing:
A powder blue sun dress with flower print over a matching, baby blue set of lingerie consisting of a lacy thong and a padded, lacy bra, along with brown, small-heel gladiator sandals and a baby blue ribbon in her hair. She is also wearing three rings; one ring shaped like a marigold, one ring with three stones, two blue and one pink and one ring with a single, clear stone and a necklace with a small, silver crucifix.

A frilly, tan purse containing:

• Her wallet, with her credit card, drivers license, social security card, some membership cards for various stores, some coupons, an old theater ticket and about 50 Danish Crowns and 2 dollars in coins.
• A make-up pouch with her mascara, eyeliner, liquid eyeliner, powder, a bright red lipstick, a small kit of five different shades of eyeshadow and a small fold out mirror where the other half is a hairbrush.
• A sewing kit with needles, thread of various colors, some patches and a pair of small scissors.

• Her keys, including her house key, car key, the key to her mailbox, the key to her locker at the theater and a key chain shaped like the Pokémon Charmander.

Reason for being on the ship:
Helena had been visiting a long-time friend in America and was now heading to France to take the train the rest of the way home to Denmark. She could have taken a plane, but she has an intense fear of heights.
