It's not a "you're holding me up" kind of thing-- please don't feel that way. It's all good. Things are fine.
Take your time. I tend to wait on people is all.
I used to post too quickly in threads so now I wait until other people have put stuff out before going.
Especially if they've been interacting with me.

I wouldn't worry about that man, if there was something kinda big that I was worried about being knocked off course I'd let people know. As it stands right now I have some ideas in mind for a fair few plot points but I'm open to and eager to see where other characters end up taking them through

Good to hear. I totally understand that sometimes folks don't have time to post, either ICly or OOCly. However, when an OOC thread goes totally silent for days at a time it tends to presage thread death. I'm glad that isn't the case. It might behoove us to at least drop a post or two in here every week or so just to let people know things are still going on. Just a thought. I'm going to message Oddsbod to see about getting our Boogie/Eissen collab started.

@LexiconI understand that. Idle fingers typically signify dead roleplays. Thankfully we just had a brief lull. Also I've FINALLY posted. I just stayed up five whole hours getting my post and other owed posts out. I'll be punctual about this stuff from now on.

@Drag@CrosswireI am contemplating leaving this game because my character doesn't play much of a role in it. This isn't to point fingers or to go "woe as me." It just naturally wound up that there is no point for my character to exist in this game. He isn't important to any SL and is there to be there.

That's too bad. I was actually tempted to have the Gingerbread Man contact your character and hire him for a job, but I wasn't sure if you had any story planned for Hansel so I didn't want to mess that up. If you're still up for it I can have GM send Hansel an invite.

@Holy SoldierI'm pretty sure the existence of a (sort of cannibalistic?) gingerbread crime boss is enough to warrant your sugar addicted hunter's role in things, HS. Everyone's still trying to get a grasp on things and work out how they want to proceed is all. My slow posting certainly didn't speed that process up at all, but we're getting back to the meat of things.

So please don't leave, you're jumping the gun on things. Especially since @Riflebird says they have plans they'd like to work out with you.

@Riflebird@CrosswireThe only thing I was getting out of the current plot is somebody died, and they are trying to figure out who did it. If there is anything else going on besides that, I probably missed it. Hansel is a monster hunter. So if Gingy is a monster, he probably would rather kill your character instead. Thus why he didn't like Boogie's ghouls in his shop: 1) she was flaunting her power and pushing her boundaries thinking she can just tresspass with her minions rather than show up like a normal customer, and 2) ghouls are something that would normally be on his kill list. It would be hypocritical to befriend the things he is paid to kill.

So if you thought he was a hitman or contract killer, he isn't. He's a bounty hunter. The fictional FBI and state police would be putting up Wanted folk that Hansel would go after because of not only the money but because they are bad. But the money is the motivation.

Triple post! A new record. Anywho, after some thought, I have decided to bow out of this RP. I'm sorry, but I find myself drawn more and more to the tabletop stuff these days. This was a great premise, but the lack of any kind of cohesive plot or forward momentum kinda killed it for me. Best of luck to everyone and happy writing.

@Crosswire@Drag -- How are we to handle the sudden drop out?
Will that character become an NPC since it's too late to retcon?
Are interactions possible without direct GM control?

I have decided to bow out of this RP.


So Odds is leaving because he has too much on his plate. Holy Soldier is leaving because he made a character who has no reason to get involved in the plot or interact with anyone he's not explicitly trying to kill. And Lexicon is gone because things aren't simply going fast enough from a plot standpoint.

Fantastic.



@UtraxI haven't heard a word from Drag on the matter so I'll just say that you can do whatever you want with the characters of the players who are leaving. Take control of them and use them in scenes. Or if you want the character to be played by someone else for a scene so you're not just writing with yourself, just ask me and I'll do it.
