Greetings, I am Cloudburst, and I have come to Roleplayerguild in attempts to be among my ilk. Other roleplayers. I have been roleplaying for ten years now, with varying shades of both written and tabletop roleplays dotting those ten years. I have hosted tabletops such as FATE, AMP: Year One and sourcebooks, Wu Xing: The Ninja Crusade, D&D, and have even tried to create a tabletop of my own. In my spare time I compile writings for either short stories or an attempt at a novel, but most of it is spent writing for giggles or roleplaying.
Speaking of which, that is what I came here for.
I enjoy deep and overarching stories that can effect even the smallest of characters, though that does not mean that I am not for those stories that exist just to get their content across the eyes of readers. Fantasy and Dark Fantasy are what I seem keen on liking recently, but other genres pique my interest as well, such as biopunk, steampunk, sci-fi, psychological, and even the occasional modern roleplay. Romance is an awkward thing, and I generally will have no part of it. My characters tend to be well rounded, and I geneally shy away from being powerful as it would simply nuke a plot before it gets started. I also follow the train of thought that it is my duty to make my characters squirm either in delight or agony in developments in plot, and in any RP I GM, I wish to do so to my players' characters as well, if they would have it.
And that just about sums it up. I am Cloudburst, and I wish you a jolly greeting.
