Alola! from Alola!

Hau'oli city. The biggest and only city on Melemele Island. It also has the honors of being the largest city in all of Alola with only two contenders for that title with those being Heahea City and Malie City on Akala and Ula'ula island respectively. Hau'oli city is quite the sight to take in with its sky touching high rises, its ever busy streets which are lined with local shops and businesses, and its beautiful beaches that it harbors, and yet even with the modernization of this city, trees and plant life is ever present and that's not even going into the Pokemon and culture.

But no matter where you go in this city you will see the sights of Pokemon everywhere, rather they are wild Pokemon being gifted berries and snacks for their gentle and courteous demeanor or its Trained Pokemon spending time out of their balls being allowed by their trainers to see the beautiful land that is Alola, Pokemon are everywhere, they live among the people of Alola in every possible manner rather they are work partners, battle allies, or even just companions for life, Pokemon are important to the people of Alola, more so then any other region.

But as you can no doubt tell, what makes Alola great is its people. Even with its natural beauty, its abundance of rare Pokemon and berries, Its long clean beaches and clear blue oceans and skies, its life giving soil and lush jungles, this stretch of islands and seas is not a region without the people to give the land a heart, a soul, a culture. And Alola has all of those things and more. The people of Alola are often friendly and kind to each other, the problems and prejudices from other regions are rare and most times avoidable, the lives lived here are often laid back and comfortable with few stresses nor confrontations for better or for worse, but don't let the light of this bright region fool you, there is still darkness here, hidden behind closed doors and especially hidden deep within the history of Alola. This is still people we are talking about after all and not everybody has a kind heart. And although older people don't want to talk about it, the shadows of the past are starting to ebb up to the surface as the youth of this region are starting to learn. But we can talk about that later.

Our story is about a group of youths who lives in Alola, we will see how they live and grow in such a beautiful Region full of so many possibilities. This story is about the bonds that they form among each other and as we all know the power of bonds is powerful in this world, it can change even the most unusual of fates. But we're getting ahead of ourselves. I shall tell this story and this story starts like many others, with the rise of the Alolan Sun.

Pike
Hau'oli City (West => East) - Morning - Spring

The morning was crisp and cool, the sun was hidden by the tall high rises to the west but yet it still peaked atop several smaller high rises. A young man with a lab coat and a pink Minior hovering near him was making his way to the the eastern side of Hau'oli city. Normally the boy would be up later than now, but he got an important message and assignment from Professor Ironwood, she told him to go and meet the newest resident of Alola, a young girl named Mary Marble, and bring her to Ironwood's lab just north of Hau'oli cemetery, thankfully the Professor gave him the girl's address so he wouldn't be looking at every house in the east end of the city as he feared.

But Pike was excited to meet this girl, he always love meeting people and making new friends. It's cheesy, but he loves being around others who he cares for. Regulus seem to have picked up on his excitement and started to spin very very quickly while shouting its name in excitement. Pike let out a chuckle at seeing his research partner getting so excited with him. "Calm down there buddy, we'll be at Mary's house soon, and I think she would like to see your cute face." Pike said with amusement in his voice which got to the Minior's nonexistent ears and it stopped spinning and let out a good natured cry of its name as if agreeing to let the girl looks at its cute dopey expression. Regulus was always a giant ball of energy even in the early hours of the morning. The two have never really been apart since Pike found Regulus alone outside of Hau'oli city all those years ago. And the two were as part of each other as any pair of siblings. Which sometimes lead them to them arguing and trying to one up the other with pranks. but they cared for each immensely nevertheless.

The pair made it to the most eastern part of the city, this was Pike's favorite part of town, it wasn't as noisy as the western part of the city, and especially compared to the shopping district n the center. This part of town was nice, quiet and not too busy and as a plus it is right next to the best beach in all of Melemele island! Pike made a reminder to show Mary the beach sometime today. Pike looked out to the western skies and looked out over the sea. He let out a happy sigh, he's always loved seeing the morning sun rise over the ocean, its always breathtaking how the purples, oranges, and pinks fuses to become a deep blue. It was all so wonderful, he must've stood there for several minutes at least, admiring the beauty of Alola. Regulus was even resigned to looking at and admiring the same sight itself.

Steps could be heard behind Pike and Pike's only response to them was "Isn't it amazing? The morning sun?"

Mary Marble

Mary woke up to the sound of the crashing waves and the gentle ray of the Alolan sun, with both force combining to gently rise her up from her slumber.

"Huaaaaaa...." Mary yawned, stretching her body and rubbing her eyes as she sat on top of her bed. If you saw her at this time, you would find quite a different person than the usual elegant little lady, as she had quite the case of bed hair. She couldn't help it. Her hair had been that way ever since she was little. Thankfully, once she took her bath, her hair easily fell in line to be combed into their usual look.

"Ah, morning, Licky. Did you have a good sleep?" she said as she crouched to the tiny bed beside her own. There, her Pokemon was waking up as well. She smiled as she raised him up. She wanted to hug him but that would be dangerous seeing how he's a candle and all. And besides, the thing was too shy for that. He's already blushing and his flame flickering just by being held like this.

"Alright. Stay put. I'm going to take my bath," she said to him before letting him down, raising herself up, and walking towards the bathroom.

Mary soon dressed up in her usual blue and white attire. It was her favorite clothing, so even though it woould be more condusive to wear something lighter in the tropical heat of Alola, she still wore it nonetheless.

After having their breakfast, she and her Pokemon of course, she decided to take a walk on the beach nearby. Indeed, her father had purchased a house that was practically in front of the beach. That was why she could hear the subtle sound of the gentle waves as she woke up. She liked this new house even more thanks to that. She had barely any chance at all to go to the beach when she was still in Kalos.

It's too bad that her father couldn't be there with her to enjoy it though...

The two then had their walk on the rocky footsteps on the beach, taking sure not to step on the sand as she hated getting sand on her shoes. The beach was quite empty as it was located on a part not as often frequented by tourists. And she was perfectly fine by that.

As she walked, she noticed another person standing on her path. He seemed to be looking at something. She looked to where he was looking and saw the gorgeous sight of the morning sun rising from the horizon. Ah, so that was why he stopped there.

"Isn't it amazing? The morning sun?"

"Yes, indeed. It's simply breathtaking," she said with a small smile forming on her face.

Kaleo Sima
|| Iki Town -> Hau'oli City || Morning ||
|| Tags: None ||
|| Mentions: Mary @Hammerman, Professor Ironwood and Pike @Bornlucky ||

"Kaleo dear! Kaleo! It's time to wake up, please come here once you're ready!" The sound of a rather sheepish female voice rang throughout the small house and into said boy's even smaller room. Teal blue eyes fluttered open as he was met with the blinding rays of Alola shining unfiltered through his 'room'. It didn't really help that his bed was right under the large bay window; he probably fell asleep before he could close the curtains... Kaleo lazily pulled himself up so that he was sitting right in front of the window, squinting as he looked outside. While distracted by the sight that never seized to get old, Kaleo failed to pick up on the pink pokemon landing on his already messy hair before she actually made contact. This caused the boy to let out a breathy scream, one that barely audible to even the boy himself, as he pulled the Cleffa off his head and held the creature in his arms. The two stared at each other for a brief moment before Kaleo quickly scurried out of his bead and ran for the bathroom, Hoshi chiming out happily in the process.

It had only taking about ten minutes for Kaleo to freshen up and put on his normal clothes, and he was now making his way over to the kitchen, which was a simple straight shot from his room. Hoshi, who was now back on Kaleo's head, continued to let out audible chimes until the owner of the voice from before came into view.
"Ah, there you are! How did you two sleep?" The old woman smiled as she looked down at the two in question. Kaleo answered with a small nod for the both of them before looking around. Empty. No one else was here. He wasn't here... Slowly, Kaleo brought his hands up to his chest and began to move them.
"Where's Tu-Tu?" His hands questioned with a slight tilt of his head.
"Oh that's right, we didn't tell you!" His grandmother began, smoothing back her gray hair placed in a neat bun. "He's gone out to do some fishing. He'll be back in the evening. Don't worry." She smiled before turning around and walking deeper into the kitchen, Kaleo following quietly. His eyes soon landed on a boxed lunch that was wrapped in a neat blue cloth in his grandmother's hands. The boy could only furrow his brows at the sight. Usually when she made a boxed lunch, that meant... "Now dear, if you could ever be so kind as to head to Hau'oli City and grab a few malasadas for home? I also want you to go and deliver one to Professor Ironwood and Pike if you see them. I heard that there would be someone coming to live in Mele-Mele as well so be a good boy and give some to her and her family, alright?" Kaleo's lips pursed into a thin line. Why have him of all people do it? It wasn't like he was that close with the professor and his assistant to deliver food to them. And someone new? Why didn't anyone tell him these things? But it wasn't like he could say so, so the boy just took the money and his lunch and headed for the door.

Thankfully it was still pretty early in the morning, so it wasn't too hot and not as many people were out, Kaleo thought as he shoved the money into his pocket and pulled Hoshi off of his head once they reached Hau-oli City. The Malasada Shop wasn't too far away from where he currently was, so it was all a matter of walking...past a bunch of people...who definitely want to say something to him...great. Kaleo gulped before clutching onto Hoshi, who also looked like she was preparing herself. The two gave each other a look before hurrying to the Malasada shop.
