Lady Kyra is almost absurdly tall, standing at a whopping 6'3", and is physically fit, although not necessarily the most athletic. High and sharp cheekbones with narrow ice blue eyes and wavy, shoulder-length auburn hair give her a very regal and sharp look, as though she were born to rule. She prefers wearing proper leather boots over fancy shoes, and sticks to simple dresses much like women of the lower classes would wear, and generally wears a black, hooded travel cloak when out and about, be it linen or fur. Simplicity in style suits her well, as she is more of an herbalist than a royal.

When forced to dress for the courts, she prefers a long, poison green dress of crushed velvet, with silver border patterns, and an enormously tall black feathered headdress. She prefers intimidation over diplomacy, and with each passing year, her image becomes progressively more hostile.

Personality:

Lady Kyra is an intense bookworm and herbalist, and it shows. A prickly nature comes as the result of spending more time in the woods than around people, and she has a somewhat short fuse, though she tends to hide her rage behind a murderous smile. It's not easy to impress her, and she has enormously high standards of behavior for friends. Womanizers and stereotypical nobles piss her off to no end and she tends to avoid those types where possible, in favor of spending time with the more down-to-earth students at the capital's library, or at farmers' markets with the lower classes.

When she's not fuming over inconsiderate remarks, lies, or attempts at manipulation, she's generally very pleasant and kind-hearted, and perhaps even somewhat chatty. That said, she fails to meet her own standards of behavior and is somewhat of a hypocrite. Her habit of holding grudges leads to plotting and scheming against those who have intentionally wronged her.

History:

Lady Kyra is the second daughter of the Lord Egbert von Dribia, First of His Name. Her elder sister Miranda was a clear shoe-in for the throne, regularly attended the Court, and always stayed by her father's side. The family bond was stressed, however, and there was an unhealthy amount of competition between the two sisters to prove who was the better and more competent potential heir. Due to her habits of wandering about in the countryside unguarded rather than following standard etiquette lessons, Kyra always came in second, and Miranda took great pleasure in tormenting her over it. Just last year, however, Miranda mysteriously fell violently ill, and it's rumored that just beforehand, she had made some particularly unpleasant comments toward Kyra. Not long after that, the authors of news flyer articles that actively smeared Kyra's name began to fall violently ill in similarly unpleasant fashions, and Kyra earned a reputation for being a suspected poisoner -- a reputation she never bothered to try to crush, simply because it was too good of a political tool.
