Krav Maga. . . I want you all to take those words in, I want you to understand them and I want you to breath them in and spit them back out and then breath them in again. This form of fighting is heavily disciplined based, there is a reason for this, and that reason is simple. . . it is a fighting style that harnesses physical aggression and turns it into a weapon using your very own body. It is used to simultaneously strike your opponent time and time again until they are incapacitated. This style is not about harnessing emotion though, there is a difference between physical aggression and emotional aggression and you must come to understand this. Physical aggression can incapacitate an opponent, emotional aggression can kill them unwittingly. This style is only for those with a strong grip on their emotions, for those who can push emotion aside and fight both in mind and body. Do you understand this?
Mikhail was stern and loud as he looked at the twenty new students within his class, all of them at best were just children or maybe he was just old. Each man in the class screamed "Yes Sensei" although most of them he could tell from the looks in their eye's that they did not understand the concept. He held out his hand and pulled his finger towards one of the new students and then motioned for them to step forward, they were hesitant but quickly complied and approached him stopping five feet from Mikhail.
"What is your name?"
"Emerson Sensei, Emerson Gruber"
"Emerson, I want to ask you something. If I commanded you to attack me with the intent to kill me knowing that my intent would be to kill you, would you do so?"
Mikhail could see the color drain away a little in Emersons face as he thought about the question and what exactly the reason was that it was posed. He seemed to contemplate what his answer might lead too as he looked upon the rest of his classmates who watched on intently but not daring to interject. Looking back at Mikhail he answer although hesitantly.
"No Sensei I would not do so."
Why is that Emerson, I just threatened your life, would you so willingly let your life come to an end because you refuse to fight me?
Mikhail took a step towards Emerson whom took one frightened step back looking back again at the other students in class whom were still making no move to interfere. Mikhail took another step towards Emerson closing the distance a bit more then last time. Emerson's face hardened a bit as he decided not to back off but to step forward, although he made no move to attack Mikhail.
Do you fear me Emerson? Do you fear what I might do to you? What If I were to threaten your loved ones instead? If it was my intent to break their necks one by one what would you do then?"
Emerson's face became hardened with anger, his face contorting into contempt, he made no movement on Mikhail attack wise but he stepped up to him as came eye to eye with him.
"I would kill you."
"Would you now? You would do exactly what you said moments ago that you would not do? This is exactly the kind of emotion you must push aside if you wish to practice this form of martial arts. Fear, anger, jealousy, even sadness, there is a reason that only certain individuals can learn Krav Maga for we must ascend beyond our boundaries. We must break to the mold and set a new one. Never let anyone drag you into a fight, people will try to get you into confrontation and trust me they will use worse threats then me. This style of fighting is only ever for defense of yourself or others, it is never to be used for anything else. Emerson you held your composure and you did not attack me, that is a good start, I hate to use such rash ways of forming a point but try to understand that an enemy will not hold back their tongue. Remember Physical aggression is the key not emotional, back in line.”
Emerson nodded in understanding as he resumed his position in the line of students, Mikhail was about to speak further when he heard a rather loud crash outside the door within the hallway. The lights in the ceiling flickered slightly as the entire room was filled with silence, everyone could hear a pair of footsteps clicking up the hallways getting closer. Mikhail watched almost stoically as someone or something stumbled through the doorway. From first sight it appeared to be a man but his clothing was tattered and blood soaked, his skin was gray and in many places dripping off his body revealing revolting decayed flesh beneath. Even from a distance the smell was almost nauseating, like meat being left in the hot sun all day, spoiled and maggot infested.
”What the fuck is that!”
Mikhail was at a loss for words as one of the students yelled almost in disgust more than fright. The various students backed away as the... well the best thing he could come up with was the dead man moved towards Mikhail who just unluckily happened to be closest. At a loss for what was going on Mikhail knew enough that whatever this was it was not going to be friendly. The creature quickly lunged for him, it was clumsy and had no real sense of coordination, he dodged the attempted grab with relative ease. Mikhail wasted no time, he slammed his elbow directly into the center of the creatures back with adequate force, it flew forward bodily and slapped the ground leaving skid mark of thick blackish blood. It did not move at least not immediate, Mikhail had struck in a pressure point that would temporarily immobilize the creature. One of the students edged forward quietly no doubt curious at what the hell this thing was, Mikhail went to tell him to stay away from it but before he could get out even a word the creature turned and drove its teeth into the mans ankle taking out a deep chunk, ripping the main artery almost instantly.
”Jesus Christ!!!!”
The entire room broke out in a chaotic style as the student who took the bite fell backwards screaming, the creature quickly lunged forward and climbed on top of him before anyone could react and sank its teeth straight into his neck and ripped sickeningly. He was dead instantly as blood spurted out from the room slashing the nearby punching bags with maroon. Mikhail leap forward and grabbed the creature and ripped it away from the student and bodily slammed it into the nearby mirror on the wall. The glass shattered like confetti from a balloon, the shards sprinkled down impaling the creatures from head to toe practically. Mikhail quickly came to the student, but it was beyond too late, the blood loss alone not even to mention the shock would have already killed him.
”Its getting back up!!!”
Mikhail looked to see the creature getting slowly back to its feet, his eye's became hardened as he motioned for the other students to back away, they quickly complied as he drove himself forward with no intent to delay any longer. Slamming his hand right into the creatures throat, he tore away its rotted flesh with an eagle like grip, however this even was fruitless as it did not seem to even be fazed by this. What the hell was this damn thing, Mikhail felt himself pushed back slightly as the creature tried to grab him, Mikhail quickly moved sideways allowing it off the wall, as it came forward he came behind it and wrapped his hands around its head and with one strong movement he brought his hands in opposite directions and snapped its neck with a sickening crack. The creature fell forward, its body now immobilized, whatever it was, it was not going to move anymore without its spine in tact.
Mikhail looked at the students who were looking a bit green at what they just witnessed, looking down Mikhail's white uniform was now covered in the blackish blood of the creature, his hands as well were streaked with red. The feeling that they were safe did not last long as three more of these creatures, all of different builds made their way through the doorway one after another.
”That back door! Quickly, move to the back emergency entrance and get out of this building!”
The students complied with little to no resistance and headed for the one way emergency exit in the back. Mikhail looked at the body of his now dead student and then back at the three new assailants. There was nothing he could do for the lost and he knew that, these creatures whatever the hell they were, they couldn't possibly be human, that shot he had used on the first one should have immobilized it, the pain alone would have kept it on the ground and from moving but it didn't even feel it. Mikhail had to retreat for now, he did not want to leave his students body but he needed to access the situation better before he dove in head first trying to fight these damn things. He quickly turned and grabbed one of the the weapons he kept displayed on the wall and bolted through the door to the back. The alarm suddenly blared indicating that his students had opened the door, he raced for the door to escape the building but the sudden screams brought him to a holt. Mikhail was silent as he watched, slowly but surely more of the creatures shambled around the corner where the emergency door was located.
”Shit... what the hell is going on!?”
Mikhail yelled the words as he turned to go back the other way, two of the other creatures were already coming up the hallway behind him. He turned his head back and forth, he was surrounded on both sides in a narrow hallway by creatures that didn't react to normal pain. Mikhail looked around quickly but cool headed, looking up he quickly put the blade in his mouth and jumped up and grabbed onto the piping above him. Pulling himself up he brought his legs up and wrapped them around the metal fixings just as the creatures came below him. They all reached up towards him but could not quite reach him thankfully. Mikhail quickly started to climb away on the piping hand over hand, the moment he made even the slightest distance away from the creatures he dropped down to the floor and bolted back through the entrance into his dojo, for the briefest of moments he was meant with a sight that would make any normal person puke. Two more of the creatures were over across the way ripping and tearing at his students intestines.
He had not time to grieve or even feel sick, he could hear them coming up the hall behind him, quickly bolting through the door into the entrance hall he reached the entrance to his dojo and smashed the door open hard enough that the glass shattered against the brick wall behind. His feet hit the cold cement as his eye's widened, the entire area was in pure chaos, people were running up and down the streets, cars were overturned in every direction, others were smashed around light poles and other cars. In the distance he could see the black smoke of fires filtering into the sky, what the hell was happening!?He did not know, all he did know was that he had to get the hell off this street. He only hoped his students had made it out. As much as he wanted to go and make sure they were okay he knew they had combat training and could handle themselves if need be. Turning he raced off down the street, he had to make it to his house and grab some things, he had no intention of sticking around for the encore of this horror show.
