I believe we got all of our old equipment back at the start. The stuff we had before imprisonment.

At the moment, they pretty much have the clothes on their backs and that's it. However... Dulcena would supply them (within reason)

I left it purposefully vague who was going on which mission. We can either have all the defined PCs on one and the "others" go do the opposite mission. Or you guys can split and each have some "minions" to control.

Which sounds more appealing to each of you?

If we split so that PCs are going for the one, the other team should fail so that we have to go get the other objective anyway.

Oh, but I'm good with either way. If we split up, Rolf wants to go to the Black Marsh, though.

I can see advantages to both, but if we split up, we have to come up with who the other guys are. But if the PCs stick together, we can just say they all died and we never have to see them again.

Do any of you have a strong preference for which mission your character goes on? If we get no responses by tomorrow evening, we'll go with Gisk's suggestion of keeping all PCs together to retrieve the boy and then possibly need to go aid the others in the Blackmarsh.

if we divide up, Zarwin will go to black marsh. But I think we have few enough people to stick together.

Since the response is a bit mixed, you can just choose whichever mission you want (which, of course, may or may not be what your character wanted!). If we can bring the two missions together later, then cool. :)

Also, please feel free to introduce other characters as we go. (Maybe a secondary PC on the 'other' team, but if you think of something else interesting, go for it!)

I'll get the blackmarsh mission kicked off tomorrow night. Feel free to fill in any RP you wanted during the meal and the night, along with any special requests to Olrik regarding gear. I think we can assume at least a basic variety of weapons, enough provisions to last a few days, cloaks, and some basic gear (lanterns, rope, etc).

Those going to the mission to retrieve the boy, feel free to post before I get to the blackmarsh piece.

@Pumpkinbot, @Danzo If you're still interested in jumping in, here is a short summary of where we are and where a new character might fit:

Background: About 150 years a war ended with magic being outlawed and the fortress where magic users studied (Whitehall) being sealed up.

Lady Dulcena is intent on opening Whitehall and thinks she knows how to do it. But since it's outlawed, she recruits 10 prisoners to aid her. In return for their freedom, they have agreed to help her. Half are sent to the Blackmarsh in search of a key. The other half are sent to Ethanfeld to bring a boy descended from one of the mages who originally sealed up Whitehall.

Mission: The Boy. PCs have been provided horses and are just starting out.

  • Sigmar - half orc warrior played by ProfessorLambo
  • Kayden - mercenary (and once upon a time, a prince) played by POOHEAD189
  • Wren - shady rogu-ish gal played by me
  • Aeryn - blind monk. Currently available as his creator stopped playing. roleplayerguild.com/posts/4383205
  • ??? - Available. No description yet.


Mission: Blackmarsh. PCs are just starting out in a wagon, but headed toward a boat that will take them into the Blackmarsh.

  • Rolf - hedge wizard played by Gisk

  • Bergoda - woman (rogue-ish???) played by Gentlemanvaultboy

@kelewen No need for submitting character profiles? What restrictions should I keep in mind? No magic, obviously, but what else?
