@Pathfinder Not entirely. She wouldn't have to concentrate over minutes/hours to piece together what they're saying, but it'll still take hours to respond, from her perspective. When she talks, she has to more or less estimate how long to hold a sound or syllable, or else she ends up sounding like a chipmunk on speed. But then her body doesn't react as fast as her brain, so some parts are slower. The end result is that her speech sounds very off, tilted, and slurred.
She'd need to get pressured really hard to take Velocity 9. She's determined to do this "the right way" so the Speed Force completes the connection itself.
@ProProGot it. Access to V9, which will just be called Velocity now as it is similar but not the same for the sake of the setting, and a teammates life in danger. We'll make it happen lol XD
Well, we already have a semi-alcoholic in Jude and on a really bad day he might turn to harder painkillers but he's seen what drug abuse does to people first hand. He'd be able to recognize someone doing it but he just ran away the last time someone he knew got addicted.
