"Er, I wouldn't use that term..." Lukas replied, shrugging. Brand read Z's hands and looked to Ace. "She's wondering what your powers are." He bluntly stated. There was some laughing in the hallway as Samuel came in, holding the hands of two women.
"See, we have some newcomers!" the child exclaimed, smiling brightly. The taller woman who walked at Samuel's pace nodded, smiling back at him. "Yes, honey, I see that." She replied. She had skin that was even darker than Rick's. She had dozens, maybe even hundreds, of tiny, dark braids coming out of her head that were put up neatly into a high, side pony tail. Toward's the base of her head, the braids were a pinkish-purple color. Brand knew her face was covered in lots of makeup, but she made it look so natural. Her big, glossy lips matched the color of her colored braids. Her eyelashes were thick and long. Her eyes were big and dark. The woman was tall with a slightly muscular build. She was very, very beautiful.
The other woman, however, was not even close to beautiful. She walked with them, reluctantly, but allowed Samuel drag her along. Brand didn't need any signs to tell him who this was, it couldn't be anyone else other than the Bluebird. She wasn't in uniform, but her huge blue wings and monsterish eyes gave her away. Her long, waist-length hair was messily put together into a loose braid. The whites of her small eyes were black, but the irises were an unnaturally ultramarine color. She had a round nose sitting above an upper black lip. her bottom lip was the color of her skin, not a normal pinkish tone that it should have been. Her face was twisted up into a disapproving look, as if she smelled something disgusted. "Why the f*** do I need to be here? Look at those barbecue-sticks, they ain't gonna last long!" She growled.
Samuel looked back at her. "Ashe, please be nice! They may prove to be our comrades!" He asked, letting go of his friend's hands. Ashe looked down at the boy. She stood only about a foot taller than he did, so she didn't have much looking down to do. The model like girl walked over to Ace, looking at the new trio with glee. "How you making nice with the recruits?" She asked, smiling, giving the newbies an excited little wave. "I hope you're not scaring them too bad, yet!"
