Hello all, this is my first attempt at a group RP set in my own world. A large peice of the role-playing will be set on The blind Swallow, a ship owned by a mercanary leader turned bandit in the eyes of many major kingdoms around the world. Constantly on the run, she searches for those who cannot defend themselves, the weak or endslaved, then she frees them. If they are seaworthy she offers them jobs aboard her ship.

Be you assassin or slave, disgraced Noble or wronged pesant, the captain of The blind Swallow welcomes you aboard her ship.

Now, there are one or two races that are worth mentioning, these are the ones based off normal or premade fantasy races that I put a twist on to keep things interesting. If you wish to be involved by either simply playing one of these races as a character, or by helping​ fill in the blanks, let me know.

You are by no means forced to use these races, I actually would love to see some variety. Finished character sheets should be placed in the correct tab.

Demi-angels

Demi-angels​ are a race of winged humanoids similar to human or elven in appearance. They all have wings of varying sizes and colors but all are able to fly. Thier bones are hollow like a bird's to help reduce weight, and a natural magic allows them to further alter their weight by a handful of pounds to aid with everything from takeoff to landing or even sometimes combat.

All Demi-angels have an affinity to healing and wind based magic, but the skill can heavily differ between subjects. Wings on adults can vary from 15ft to 25ft or more. A safe bet would be to add 1.5ft for every 10 pounds or so, but if anybody with a better idea of how realistic wingspan​s on humanoids work, let me know.

Demi-angels have a dark history with the human races, many are still enslaved, their wings clipped or even removed completely and mounted like trophies in some cities. Demi-angels have a tendency for travel and many enjoy warm climates and migrate like birds in small groups when winter or slavers move in. Despite what their name suggests, Demi-angels are not decended from angels, but this is the name they are known as by the human races due to their natural beauty and wings.

Clothing can be difficult for them due to their wings, but many males make due without shirts and females often wear thin garmants of cotton or silk that hang from the neck and tie at the waist. A Traveller would be hard-pressed to find a Demi-angel that is not fit in some sense of the word. Near constant migration for those who are free, and hard labor for those endslaved often rob them of the ability to become fat and lazy.

Royals

A subspecies of human who branched off from the main group nearly three thousand years ago upon the intervention of a god. Royals have been named such due to their naturally stunning beauty and respectable ability to nearly completely prevent poverty in their closed communities.

Royals have a love for the arts as well as other fine goods. Many persue merchant or political careers and others choose to devote their lives to the study and application of magic to more artistic mediums. While royals come in many shapes and sizes, they decide themselves into multiple ' houses ' depending on hair color. When a child is born between houses, their hair color determines the parent who raises them, the parent with the most similar hair color able to claim the child.

A love for fine clothing and an unrivaled ability to keep unwanted emotions from interfering with the current situation makes Royals an interesting group.

She frees those she can and drops them off in one of the few safe havens for slaves, mostly dwarven mountains or elven forests away from major cities. Those who seem capable are offered jobs aboard her ship.

Yes, anybody who seems trustful enough and who manages to cross her path. Ways to find or track her down are small enough, but she has agents in many cities that she keeps in contact with. They recruit for her cause and organize escapes. Some work as fences for theives or even contract handlers for assassins. She has been at this for a good 2 years without being captured. Use your imagination as to how your character learned of her. She does attract certain crowd, mostly people who are on the run, want a new life, or even simply want to help.

Good so i finished my character he is a warrior who fights for freedom he made new allies who wanna do the same thing the 'allies' can be a link on how they will meet.

Well first, do try not to speak for me unless it's just repeating something I said.

Also, gunpowder weaponry does exist in the style. Only larger cannons use gunpowder as a catalyst. Smaller weaponry like single shot pistols use little to no gunpowder in exchange for enchanted ammo. The result is expensive to safely produce but provide a good replacement for magic for non mages Such as pirates or outlaws.

Magic exists in many ways but some forms are more difficult to master. For example pyromancy is easy to learn but hard to control, and summoning magic is extremely difficult to learn and requires large amounts of study to safely summon things, and each summon comes with it's own precautions and dangers. Each kind of magic requires study of it's own kind and attracts certain kinds of people.

A plot is in the works but currently once the RP started we would be picking up the players and wandering a bit, soon enough I may ask for input plotwise. As long as I am here, anything you would like to see come out of this?

Major kingdoms at play would include the currently nameless Royals kingdom, The elvish capital, The dwarven capital and a few places that could be possibly discovered later on overseas. The known world is a single landmass similar to the Elder Scrolls map, most of the known world is set on a single landmass with small islands and with borders being constantly fought over politically, though sometimes a small war breaks out that never lasts longer than a month at most, people know there are other places overseas but they are such a distance away and travel between has been cut off for such a long time that it no longer is needed or cared about. Most piracy is set in the areas between islands, but some prey on larger merchant or fishing vessels that travel along the edges of the landmass.

Half breeds are strange, at least how I deal with them. Most humanoid races such as elves, humans and their " sub-species " and several types of orcs are able to interbreed with no problems, though some races that are more animal-like such as humanoid lizardmen or catmen ( argonian and Kajjit from skyrim for example. ) are unable to properly breed with other races. Demi-angels are able to breed with other races ( albeit with a much lower birth rate ) but those who are born have nearly useless wings, most often than not their bones are too heavy for flight, adding to their weight. They also rarely inherit any useful amount of weight changing magic and are not born with the affinity towards wind based magic, an obvious weakness. These magics can be learned but it still severely reduces their flight time depending on their skill with wind magic and weight reduction magic. Also, a full Demi-angel able to fly at say, seven or eight, would be much more skilled with their wings than a half breed who has been forced to learn magic that his mother or father was born with.

How many more members do we need?

at the very least one more person, we only have 2 character sheets and one is mine.
