Reincarnate - Rebirth of the soul in another body, the belief that the soul, upon death of the body, comes back to earth in another body.

It happened on the 7th of September in 1100 BCE, just outside Phylakopi on the island of Melos in Greece. The night of a powerful lunar eclipse. The abnormal abundance of mystical energy seemed to meld into the air like a suffocating smog. The witches of Melos, had gathered their coven together, as tonight they would finally accomplish everything they had worked, and fought for. Generations of their kind had searched for immortality and eternal youth, many died in the process of failure. But now it was just within their grasp. The preparations were complete, and with the eclipse it was now time for the sacrificial ritual. Three young men, and three young woman were brought forth. Bound and gagged the witches dragged their human sacrifices into positions around the sacred blue flames.

The witches began to chant in an unknown language, as they stared into the dancing flames, and held tightly to the young people shoulders forcing the poor terrified ones to kneel. The high witch Magissa, seemed to run the show, as she circled around the fire, reaching her hands up towards the dark starless sky. In one hand she held a chalice, and in the other a jewel encrusted dagger. The youngest witch, threw dried herbs into the flames, making the air smell strange and the smoke seemed to morph into ghoulish shapes, like faces of the dead. The six could do nothing but stare terrified and confused, as their rope bindings dug into their flesh. The witches who held them whispered a strange language into their ear, and the fire sparked every time the high witch yelled certain parts of the spell.

The first sacrifice was Alexandros. The witch behind him wrenched his head back, as the high witch Magissa stood in front of him, and abruptly slit his throat. Magissa held the chalice to his neck, as his blood poured down, and the light left his eyes. The five left watched horrified as their own fate became apparent. More chanting as Magissa walked gracefully over to the next one. The second was Korinna, who was hysterically crying as the witch behind her held her in position. Magissa smiled at her, as she ran the blade across Korinna's neck, and proceeded to gather the young girls blood. The third was Iason, who glared with fury as Magissa walked towards him. He used all his strength to try and fight the witch yanking his head backward, but to no avail as Magissa just did the same to him. The fourth was Xanthippe, and she had been lucky enough to faint prior to her turn. She was limp, and quiet as Magissa sliced her throat. Fifth was Nikomedes, who had managed to ungag himself just as Magissa turned towards him. He screamed, and angrily thrashed trying to get free, but his threats and pleading fell on def ears. The witch behind him ripped his head back, pulling him by the hair. Nikomedes had no chance as Magissa brought the blade to his throat, he glanced at the young woman next to him, who would share his same fate and one tear escaped before the blood came pouring out. Lastly was the sixth one, her name was Myrrine. She had watched each of them die, and now it was her turn. Her eyes pleaded to whomever would look her way, tears rolled down her cheeks, as Magissa walked to her. And with her death the ritual was complete. Magissa drank from the chalice of blood and passed it around to her coven. Their blood drained bodies where thrown into the fire, and the blue flames turned purple.

The witches expected immortality, in fact they could feel a monumental change swirling in the air around them. To test if the ritual had worked, the Magissa stabbed the dagger deep into the youngest witch. The girl collapsed to the ground, and began to bleed out. The others waited. Some confident it had worked, and others nervous that they had just killed six people for no reason. The girl was dead, and as the minutes grew into hours it became apparent she was not coming back to life. Panic ensued, and many of the coven scattered. Magissa and a handful of her most loyal stayed behind. Angry and still hellbent on becoming immortal. The ritual had failed to do what the witches wanted, but immortality had been granted in a way...to the six sacrifices.

Through reincarnation the six were alive again, with all their memories intact. Now every time they die, they are born again into completely different circumstances, new family, new face, new language, new names, new culture, new rules...same memories. They remember every life they have ever lived, they have the memories and knowledge from every reincarnation they have had. In every new life the memories from their pasts come back in blurs and glimpses for the first few years of life. The smell of roses could make one remember walking in a garden in a different time, and place. The sound of an old song can make one remember going to a concert, or dancing in a royal court. By the time they are around ten years old, they can remember everything. But how would you know your not crazy, that its just your imagination? Why is it you remember so many things and no one else does? How do you believe in yourself? In your own mind?

During the 5th century BCE Iason met Xanthippe, by chance and they found that they were not alone. They were not crazy. And with that fateful meeting they promised to always find each other in every new life. They also came to the conclusion that they needed to find the four others like them. All the while the witches from so long ago, were still in pursuit of immortality and eternal youth. They soon found that if they could gather all the reincarnated and perform the ritual again, then they could get all that they wished and more. So generation after generation the witches have searched for them. In the 1st century BCE Iason, had been looking for Xanthippe, and during his search he found the writings of what people called a mad man. Thus Iason found Alexandros in Rome, and seven years later they found Xanthippe. In the 4th century AD they founded a group called The Guardians.

The Guardians was made up of the three of them, plus five others, who where their most trusted friends in that life, who believed their stories and for the sake of knowledge, history, love and so on, vowed to serve them generation after generation. They were tasked with keeping the many histories and lives documented, seeking to find the others that remembered, and to always find them in their new lives and protect them from the witches. That is what the guardians did, passing down the duties to their children and so on. In the early 7th century the Guardians found Nikomedes, and about 50 years later Korinna found them. By mid 10th century they found Myrrine in Constantinople.

In the 12th century, a guardian by the name of Jon Lytton became rather enraged when Myrrine, did not return his feelings. He killed her, but knowing that she would be reincarnated again, he left the guardians and started his own group called the Order. Religious people followed him and his mission was to find the six and kill them. The Order grew and became a central part of the Catholic church at the time, and the six were hunted as demons. Burning innocent people as witches and chaos was the result, but the order had its mission. Lytton soon became even more deranged and wanted immortal life. Murdering Alexandros, a handful of guardians, and blinding Korinna. He was able to kidnap Xanthippe, and he used her blood and his alchemy skills, to gain a sort of immortality like them. He ate her still beating heart, and with that he created what we call vampires. Months later they captured Korinna and did the same to her. Lytton's number one most loyal follower Agnes was given the privilege of immortality too. They left the Order, once they got what they wanted. The Order took on a life of its own, and is now a secret organization of hunters, whose only job is to rid the world of witches, vampires, heretics, and demons.

Five centuries passed and the vampires found the reincarnations of the six, making it seven new vampire in the process. Then they learned that it was not necessary to eat the beating heart of one of the six, that in fact vampires themselves could turn humans into vampires by draining the human of blood, and making them drink vampire blood. Thus creating their own race of immortals. The nine original vampires can only be killed by being stabbed in the heart with one of the silver daggers forged by Nikomedes many centuries ago, sadly nothing else. The daggers are kept with the guardians and used to protect. The vampires made by the originals can die by burning to death, decapitation, and a steak through the heart.

I would read this as a book in a heartbeat! So am I interested? Heck yes! My questions?
Why were the Jagers apart of the Nazi Regime if they're only interested in Vampires and not the six? I don't mean for this to come off as accusatory, but there are long-standing lies about the Jewish community that they steal and kidnap gentile children and use them for blood magic and other such awfuls, so I strongly advise you not try to draw any connection whatsoever between Vampires and Jews, seeing as those kind of (made up) connections are part of the reason for the death of millions, and the historical oppression of Jews. (Unless you are Jewish yourself, and are already aware on how to handle this situation properly and respectfully to all those who died) Furthermore, having Jews connected to Vampires, whether intentional or not, would give validity to the Holocaust as a good option in the vein of greater good . . . and I hope I don't have to explain why that's extremely bad. Especially with the recent resurgence of Nazism in the US. Again, I'm not trying to accuse you of being a Nazi-Sympathizer. The idea of a sect of The Order not caring about the six sounds very intriguing; I just hope to enlighten you on the implications of your details.

Besides that, I suppose I just wonder abut technical things in regards to the Six and The Guardians. A big one being: How do the Guardians seek out the Six if they fail to meet with them at their predestined locations? For example, as you said:
But how would you know your not crazy, that its just your imagination? Why is it you remember so many things and no one else does? How do you believe in yourself? In your own mind?

Even more so in the past, but even till today, people are pretty hush-hush about (in this case what they perceive to be) mental illness stuff due to society being pretty judgemental. So what if somone just keeps in denial, and doesn't meet up. Or worse . . . what if someone has RESPONSIBLE PARENTS THE SHOULD-BE BANE OF YOUNG ADULT STORIES
By that I mean, what if a kid tells their parent(s), and (like a responsible human) doesn't feed into what they preceive are delusions of grandeur, and instead placate while they're talking about it, and suggest later that they need to seek help. They don't even have to be rude or anything, but simply supportive parents taking their (what they believe) mentally ill child to a therapist, and possibly a psychiatrist for medication in order to help them. These aren't all plot holes, as they can be explored in the IC, but they are definite posibilies seeing as this has been going on for thousands of years.

ALSO! Magic! Me excited! There are so many possibilities for magic, especially the ritualistic kind you seem to be going for, so I'd love to hear more about it. :D

So yeah, this idea seems amazing, I'm just concerned and intrigued with some of the intricacies :)
