Appearance: Kiara is a tall girl, like most elves, with white-pale skin and jet-black hair. Her eyes are large in comparison to the rest of her face, with her irises being a jade green color. She often has a natural blush that makes her cheeks glow with a light pink tint to them, and her lips are pink when they are unadorned with any sort of make-up. She usually does wear make-up though, with bright red lip coloring and black charcoal over her eyes and on her waterline. She usually wears her hair down, and it reaches just to her mid-back. Kiara is often wearing royal robes or a dress of some sort, as is custom for the female monarchs in her family. These garments can range in color from jade-green(most common), to red, purple, yellow, blue, white, or even black. Despite the fact that many say it makes her seem "unladylike", she is usually found to be wearing what one would refer to as "combat-boots".
Personality: Kiara is young but she has an old soul. She is a brave girl who is loyal to her family and trusted friends, and has always looked after her younger brother and sister dutifully. Kiara is artistic and creative, and has great compassion for animals and those in need. She is fairly intuitive and of average academic smarts for children her age who were born into any position of wealth or power.
Brief background/history: Kiara is the eldest child of the most recent Dragomir monarchs, with one younger brother and one younger sister succeeding her. She was raised in the Jade Palace her entire life, with rare exposure to the world outside of the castle walls, and never leaving Maehre. She has, on occasion, been known to sneak out of the castle without permission to view the lives of the other citizens in her kingdom and to have some fun. She was assumed to be the rightful heir to the throne, despite wishes from many to see a man as ruler of Maehre, but not until she had reached a certain age. At this point in time, everything is up in the air, and the princess is definitely at risk of becoming a target, like her parents, or being placed under the guardianship of an uncle who is supposedly soon to appear in Maehre.
Other(misc): Kiara loves to cook, when she is permitted to do so, and likes to explore. She loves children and wants some of her own one day, and cares greatly for her siblings. Her family owns a lot of land, and she therefore has access to many of the various creatures that inhabit that land. She and her siblings look after a pack of wolves, who are in essence the Dragomir's pets. Kiara's personal favorite is a female pup named Alia.

Appearance: As far as humans go, he was of average height, although shorter than his wife. He had light brown hair and even lighter blue eyes, with fairly tan skin. He was typically seen wearing regal robes or armor.
Personality: Julian was a tough man of few but pleasant words, and always tried to be positive and kind to everyone, especially those in need. He ruled with a firm hand, except when it came to his wife, who he would always counsel with when it came to making important decisions with a listening ear. The general consensus was that he was a good and fair leader, albeit not necessarily the brightest.
Brief background/history: Julian became king through marriage to Esmeralda, despite what many would believe. His parents were simple peasants, but Esme fell for him nonetheless during a visit outside of the kingdom walls. Not everyone approved of his marriage to Esme, both because of the fact that she was the one with royal blood, and because he was a human and she an elf.

Appearance: Esme was tall, even for elves, around 6'2", with bright white skin that seemed almost translucent and raven hair. Her eyes were a deep emerald green, and she had naturally darker, red lips and noticeably pointed ears. Her canines seemed particularly sharp and her teeth were a perfect pearly white as well. She almost never wore anything other than extravagant dresses around the palace, and would dawn more conservative robes when she left for her foreign duties.
Personality: Esme was fierce and stubborn, and loyal to her family and her kingdom above all else. She would often not take no for an answer, although she always fought for what she found to be in the best interest of her people. She was a good, although at times absent, parent, and always showed compassion to those who were in less fortunate positions, albeit remaining logical about situations to the best of her ability.
Brief background/history: Esmeralda was the second oldest child of the previous Dragomir king and queen, but became the new monarch by default when her older brother ran away, refusing to take part in any of the elements of ruling the kingdom. Her parents were somewhat reluctant about handing the throne over to their daughter, but preferred this to having a distant cousin or some sort of elected candidate run their kingdom. Esme's father died around the age of 65, considerably young, for being an elf, and her mother became a sort of recluse, who is rumored to still live within the castle walls, too depressed to come out of her room most of the time. Esme had been ruling over Maehre ever since.

Appearance: Nicholai is of average height, but seems to be growing into himself day by day. He has the same dark black hair as his mother, but inherited the blue eyes from his father, and his skin is somewhat pale, but less so than his sisters'. He usually wears trousers, and nice buttoned shirt, and some worn out brown boots that he just won't let the maids replace.
Personality: Nicholai is a sort of quiet boy, much like his father, but definitely has an intense love for animals and for exploring. He also loves to read, and likes to spend time cooking with Kiara, when the maids will let him. Although he seems shy, there is nothing that he wouldn't do for his sisters, especially Desdemona.
Brief background/history: He grew up in the castle just like his siblings, and has had even less exposure to the outside world than his older sister, Kiara, has.
Other(misc): As the only remaining male Dragomir child, many seem to feel as though Nicholai should rule, instead of his sister.

Appearance: Desdemona is short, despite her mother's elven genes, although she is equally pale in comparison to her other siblings. She inherited her mother's deep green eyes as well, but currently has lighter, almost blonde-brown wispy hair, thinner than that of the rest of her family. She usually wears pink or yellow dresses, her favorite, with ballet-style slippers and lots of jewelry.
Personality: Desi is a bit of a brat, but what else could be expected from a young princess? She is fairly "girly", and enjoys playing with dolls, having her hair brushed by the handmaidens, and playing dress-up. She is known to throw explosive temper tantrums from time to time, and doesn't seem to put much thought into anyone other than herself, excluding her favorite animals in the castle premises.
Brief background/history: As the youngest child of the Dragomir family, she has been very overprotected for her entire life.
Other(misc): She is rumored to have some sort of illness, but it is kept tightly under wraps by her family and the guard/handmaidens.
