Here's a little bit about me and my hobbies

I'm an experienced Roleplayer who has been roleplaying for 13 or so years mostly in MMOs but also on the tabletop and via text among other things. Roleplaying and creative writing are two things I am quite passionate about. I like to think that I am quite flexible when it comes to style of roleplay and the setting in which it takes place, that being said I have a bias towards Fantasy settings and tend to prefer deeper narratives.

To name a few of my other hobbies aside from RP, I enjoy gaming, worldbuilding, writing stories, HEMA and LARP, painting, cosplay and making things.

Welcome to the Guild, there's plenty of good fantasy settings being tossed around and they've got one for the persistent world as well.

Good luck with it!

Welcome to the Guild

Thanks! On that note, I am quite unsure of where to start here, but I'll have a look around.

I suppose it's worth adding a couple things I feel I missed to my initial post.

First of all I should probably expand on genres I enjoy, like I mentioned before I love fantasy, be it high-fantasy, low-fantasy or anything in between with darker settings having a special place in my heart, that being said I am also fond of post apocalyptic, horror, and the occasional sci-fi.

Though I do love a good home brew and often home brew settings myself, here are a bunch of pre-packaged settings I have used for roleplay in the past, that I enjoy and am familiar with for the sake of meeting people with similar interests when it comes to genres! In no particular order: Dungeons and Dragons, Guild Wars, Warcraft, Warhammer (40K and Fantasy) and The Elder Scrolls.

And some settings I am familiar with, but have never roleplayed in despite feeling they would be decent for RP. Again, in no particular order: Dragon Age, Cthulhu mythos, A Song of Ice and Fire, Bloodborne, Runequest/Mythras.

Saluto, Winter! Glad to see some more new blood on the Guild, even if they are old blood when it comes to roleplaying.

Since you're a fan of The Elder Scrolls, I'm in a position to recommend some good ones! Of course, I'm in them, so I'm without a doubt biased, so they may or may not be your thing, and that's a-okay!

This first one I've been in since its conception(two whole friggin' years ago! Time really flies.), Fruits of Contention is an Advanced roleplay that is focused on a mercenary company full of average joes going against a strange enemy invading Tamriel. It's quite far along and catching up may seem daunting, but we keep a concise summary of all major events, and the GMs are always willing to help you get up to speed with your characters! It's set a few years after the defeat of Alduin in TES:Skyrim.

The other one, Crimson Skies is a Casual roleplay set during the Oblivion Crisis. It's significantly younger than the previous roleplay and not far along at all. The Hero of Kvatch is retconned out and replaced by the current player party, so plenty of Daedric shenanigans are certain to ensue.

Even if you don't join the roleplays I mentioned, I hope you find yourself at home here on the Guild!

Greetings Stranger,

I’m not surprised to see your kind here. Many adventurers have traveled this way since the recent troubles had passed. No doubt you’ve heard about the tragedy that befell the community here at the Guild. Some say that the Guildfall, bane of role players, is slowly enveloping the community once again. I don’t know if I believe that, but I have noticed from time to time that posts or players will mysteriously disappear. They disappear without word and without notice, hidden by the leaders of our community. Maybe it’s nothing. But rumors and sideways glances seems to trail in their wake. You see, shortly before Guildfall had occurred similar disappearances were common as well and strange rumor began to ravage even the most common parts of the guild. But until more evidence is uncovered I’ll remain here within this community and so should you. You’ll find interesting role play ideas across all the various topics categories here on the Guild and a few of mine or ones that I participate in as well. However, I would make sure you save your own information before the shadow that fell over the Guild before the fall once again consumes us all. But if you’re still alive before then, I’ll be more than happy to accommodate any role playing needs you may have if I can.

You should talk to some of the others, too. Guildmod has sent you a PM package to add with your new arrival and there are any number of veterans who are more than qualified to answer your questions. Maybe they can tell you more.
