In the year of 2041, the human race developed a method of traveling across the universe in mere seconds. This invention, now called FTL technology, allowed the human race to come in contact with many species unknown to them before. One of these species were the Leiden, a race of human-like, magical beings that shared many visual similarities. Due to their similar culture, the Humans and Leiden became allies. The Humans offered their vastly superior technology and the Leiden offered to teach the humans how to use magic. Through their collaboration, the two races created a massive station that housed billions of people. This station was called Kiriklan and was accessed by a gate located located in a sector in between the Human and Leiden homeworlds The station was the largest in the known universe at the time, housing three hundred billion people comfortably. It's bright, beautiful construction took the breath of any visitor and resident away. It had it's own ecosystems, tailored to any and all species that both races have come across.
Of course... All good things come to an end... 600 years passed and things began to turn for the worst. Due to the actions of Xenophobic organizations from Humanity, the Human/Leiden alliance was broken apart, ending on a bad note. A human Anti-Xeno unit named Argos raided the capital of the Leiden homeworld, kidnapping one of the three daughters of the emperor, Seela, claiming that the Leiden were only using the humans for their technology. Filled with anger, the emperor employed his entire force, invading any and all human outposts, space stations, and colonized planets, searching for his daughter and destroying them after the search. After his rage and his daughter was reclaimed, most humans all over the universe were either killed or enslaved, forced to work as test subjects for the Leiden empire.
But some survived...
Years after the emperor's anger, A small group of only 1,000 free humans took refuge in the very station that both sides built, however... It wasn't as cheery anymore. The interior was altered and the atmosphere was strange and foreboding for the Humans. It felt like every step they took could be their last... It might as well be... Guards were everywhere, looking for them. The population on the station hated humans, and on top of all of the stress, the Emperor himself now lived there. Most of the insides were reduced down, allowing it's once lush forests to become manufacturing plants for weapons of war. The one city section left, called Ephos, housed roughly 20 million people, including the humans. The fortress, now ran by the emperor's eldest daughter, Valora, was renamed into something she considered fitting
... Blood Teller...
While they are able to hide due to the size of the station, some realize that it may not stay this way for too long. This is where the story begins. Will the humans try to rally together and recapture the once beloved station, or will they simply wait until their inevitable capture? Will they stand against the Emperor's wrath or stay hidden, cowering in fear? Will they try to gain the favor of the other races that inhabit Ephos or will they seek sympathizers from the Leiden? All will be decided in time...
