Here it is :) A thread for Tranquility, Hushedwhispers, and myself.

Idea :

The idea is about a once glorious kingdom that was eventually split into two. There’s almost always constant fighting and hatred. Generations after the original split of the kingdom, a prophecy is foretold by both kingdom’s oracles. The blood red river will over flow if the fire continues to engulf both lands. A child of sun and walker of moonlight must find the dusk to drown the fire before sunrise. What this will mean is that a Prince/Princess of one kingdom must join forces with the Prince/Princess of another in order to end the war before it begins. There will be other characters involved in this besides the two royals though!

Character Ideas
(Subject to change)

The Child of Sun : They eventually discover/hear the prophecy and feel the strong sense of destiny. They fully believe that they are the child of the sun but have a tough time convincing others of this. Especially family.

The Walker of Moonlight : They are very opposite to the Child of Sun. They hear the prophecy and doubt it could ever be them. However, they long for a peace and want to find the Child of Sun and Walker of Moon for the sake of preventing another war.

The Brother of Sun : The older brother of the Child of Sun and next in line to be king. He has no faith in the prophecy and looks to prevent the Child of Sun from abandoning their duties or betraying their kingdom.

The Servant : The servant of Child of Sun. One of the few people to believe and support them. Wants to help fulfill the prophecy and will do what is needed.

The Knight : The loyal knight and personal guard of the walker of moonlight. The two are long time friends. They strongly believe that the walker of moonlight is part of the prophecy and is eager to help them find the Child of Sun.

The Rogue Siblings : These two have been against both kingdoms for a long time. They think both kingdoms are ridiculous in the way they operate and attack each other. This hatred comes from the loss of family members to the war. They have set out to disrupt battles but instead run into the prophecy group. They might become allies but it’ll take some convincing.

The Healer’s Apprentice : Secluded in the woods and trained by the former royal doctor, the healer’s apprentice hasn’t known much of the outside world. They’re an orphan whom the doctor took in out of pity. They crave adventure and the chance to show off their skills. Will eventually run into the prophecy group and become a helpful aid.

I liked the idea of splitting up the role of sun and moonlight between two writers but now that we have a third, is it possible to add another sort of similar role to the prophecy? Maybe some kind of 'stars' aspect perhaps? I'd hate for one of us to feel left out but at the same time, I don't want to force the plot to change if it doesn't work.

At any rate, there's about eight roles you have listed and I'm sure HW and I can come up with a few more additions. I'm thinking we'd each have about 4-5 roles that can come and go as the plot progresses?

What roles were you guys thinking about taking? I can have any, to be honest. :)

I was thinking about the whole split up of those involved in the prophecy as well. The prophecy can easily be altered to include a third person. For it, we could possibly make the brother of sun the third person or potentially find a way to connect either the knight or healer’s apprentice to it. Another idea is to include foreign royalty, someone outside of both the main kingdom’s and who was maybe making an alliance with on in particular (through arranged marriage or diplomacy). They could be the ‘northern star’ in the sense that their kingdom is perhaps north of the two.

Yeah I was thinking around that many for each so 4-5 sounds good to me!.

I’m pretty much good with any roles. Although I do lean towards rping walker of moon or this new potential third ‘star’ but I’m honestly good with any.

I think the healer being the third piece might be pretty interesting, I think that's a role I've been eyeing myself. If HW is up for the sun's role, that might work out? I could snag the brother of the sun and maybe one of the rogue siblings? I may then make some kind of fourth character to connect with the moon's section of characters as well so we can all interact with one another.

Thoughts?

And yay for brownies, I should watch my figure but I'm willing to bet internet calories aren't terribly damaging! -eats more than she should- Of course I can provide the milk (or ice cream) because I'm sure the brownies must be lonely.

As I mentioned before, I am cool with any role. I can take the sun role, if no one wants to take it and I can even take a rogue sibling or the knight role, too.

Whichever is fine by me. :) Again, apologies for my silence. Still in this with you both.

No worries! I poofed there for a little bit myself since college was starting back up XP I’ll probably be on only a little bit at a time now.

Did we figure out genders or are we gonna just make the best judgement there? I think I'll do two males and two females, not sure who is who yet but I'll let the pictures figure that out for me haha.

The Sun character is female, right? >.> Because I can make the Knight a male and the Rogue Sibling 2 a male, too. :)

Genders are up to you though I think we should try to keep them even-ish. c:

Since I have an older brother of your Sun character, did you have a hair color in mind? I kept looking at pictures but I thought it might be best to work out some kind of similarity with yours. Or should we just not worry too much about appearances? I may be making a bigger fuss than necessary haha.

Hm, even though blonde would be the obvious choice, I would rather go for a much raven colored approach. LOL. And no big fuss as it is essential that our siblings look somewhat alike.

Hi all! Just a pop in as I’m finishing up some of my characters but here are a few things I realized we might need to go over xD

1. The kingdom names - I just named the Moon Kingdom Rotha Kingdom and the Sun Kingdom Treatus Kingdom. I just used a random generator for them so if you had any in mind that you’d prefer feel free to suggest :D

2. Side Characters - This is just for backgrounds for our characters so they could have been important in a main character’s past. So far I have a small list of side characters that can be utilized! Mainly those related to the royal family of Rotha Kingdom cx I wasn’t sure if you preferred I make up the style of the king and queen/any other side roles in the Sun Kingdom or just leave it to you guys to figure out. So just tell me and I can whip up a few quick descriptions if need be :D

Abott Dainid - 32 year old man. Oldest child of the King and Queen of Rotha. Childish, Ambitious, and Selfish. Next in line for the throne but not well liked by the people of Rotha.

Marie Dainid - 17 year old girl. Youngest child of the King and Queen of Rotha. Bubbly, warm, and arrogant. The ‘sweetheart’ of the kingdom and usually not taken seriously.

3. The Kingdom’s - We may need to discuss this in more detail later but I figured a brief over-view of each kingdom might help with character building. Feel free to make any suggestions for change!

Rotha The Kingdom of Moon: The Rotha Kingdom likes to consider it’s self the Original Kingdom. The royals are the ones that descend from a long lineage that once ruled over the kingdom before it was split. They are usually a stickler for traditions and are often caught up in the past. They view the Treatus Kingdom as traitors even after so much time has past. From royalty to the poorest peasant, many believe that is the duty of Rotha Kingdom to overthrow Treatus and take the land back by force to unit that which was once whole.

Treatus The Kingdom Of Sun : The Treatus Kingdom has taken many steps to differ themselves from the Rotha Kingdom. They are the nobles that once rebelled against Rotha royalty. They find pride in uniqueness and things out of the ordinary, usually being very welcoming to cultures outside of their own. They despise Rotha Kingdom since they feel the rival kingdom is trying to take away all that they have built. The Treatus Kingdom believes that Rotha Kingdom is an oppressor of uniqueness and that it is their duty to overthrow Rotha Kingdom, not only their royals but their traditions as well.

4. Gender Roles - I’m not sure what you two had in mind, but I’m not trying to stick super close to the usual (and admittedly more accurate) display of gender roles in a medieval rp. I feel like maybe in our roleplay it is common for women to be married off rather than become knights or leaders but that doesn’t mean it’s not done. It might be a bit more difficult for them but it is not frowned upon by society in general. Of course there maybe a few people who don’t exactly like it

5. Character Relations - I figure it would be good to try and plan out how characters have gotten along with each other before we actually finish them.

For mine, I need to mainly talk to you HW xD So I here’s what I’m thinking for the relationships between some of our characters :

Walker of Moon - Knight : The Walker of Moon (Celine as I’ve decided to name her cx ) is a pretty cold/hard to get close to person and she’s also pretty successful military wise so I figured her and her knight are likely very close friends. I imagine that the Knight might not even be the strongest or most skilled in the army (tho they can be like that if you’d like of course!) but mainly just someone she trusts with her life.

I’m also planning to give Celine a half brother (came from an affair with the King and some mistress but the King of course denies it all) who will also be one of my main characters. He’ll live at the castle but likely isn’t viewed very fondly.

Child of Sun - Servant : So I kinda of have two ideas for their relationship. The two could start out as basically strangers. The servant would, more or less, just be another face to the Sun until the servant eventually speaks up to side with the Sun. OR they might have a fairly decent acknowledgement of each other. I won’t exactly say friends but I imagine they would at least know each others names and get along well. These are just my ideas since I’m planning for my servant to be viewed as a bit plain until you get to know him better.
