Hi there here from Srecius.
I came up with a game idea and wanted to play it out so I found this forum. I'm not a great story teller but PbP sort of fits neatly with turn based gaming. So I think I might be able to put a game together on this forum. My stuff might seem new to roleplayers who are used to reading stories; so my stuff is mechanical. That doesn't mean there isn't any room for roleplaying type story telling in my game period but it is action based. That said if my stuff goes accordingly it's bound to get hussled and roleplayed at least a bit, I enjoy that when it's directed at developement of game mechanics.

I could do with some help creating my game to work on the forum as I don't know my way right around its features and what its capabilities are.

I read somewhere in I think its Arena forum area that there is a hide or reveal secret text option as this would be usefull for disclosing a face down choice, I'd like to know about this.

Then theres dice, for good measure I'd like to work this into my game.

My game ingrediants so far are a meld of kung fu moves and is only in development. I certainly do advocate role playing my game but the emphasis's are either mechanics or stats or both.

I think my game fits in Arena and has possible mmrpg capability

Thanks for reading and if you are able to help and know the site better than I and would like to help then drop me a reply or PM me.

Hi! Welcome! Okay, so I don't know too much about the Arena, but I do know that they are usually 1x1, and are straight-up just fighting. For what you want, I would probably say to use Casual or Advanced, depending on how much depth of post you want. (Advanced would probably be better.) Also, Hiders aren't just usable in the Arena. You can use them anywhere. The code is: [hider] and to close it, put that, but with this: / in front of the word 'hider'. It looks like this:
or, if you want to name it, put = after the first hider, and then what you want to name it, and then close the bracket. That bit of code looks like this: [hider=Hi! Welcome!]. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. (Me or anyone who has been on a suitable amount of time!)
Good Luck,

Greetings Stranger,

I’m not surprised to see your kind here. Many adventurers have traveled this way since the recent troubles had passed. No doubt you’ve heard about the tragedy that befell the community here at the Guild. Some say that the Guildfall, bane of role players, is slowly enveloping the community once again. I don’t know if I believe that, but I have noticed from time to time that posts or players will mysteriously disappear. They disappear without word and without notice, hidden by the leaders of our community. Maybe it’s nothing. But rumors and sideways glances seems to trail in their wake. You see, shortly before Guildfall had occurred similar disappearances were common as well and strange rumor began to ravage even the most common parts of the guild. But until more evidence is uncovered I’ll remain here within this community and so should you. You’ll find interesting role play ideas across all the various topics categories here on the Guild and a few of mine or ones that I participate in as well. However, I would make sure you save your own information before the shadow that fell over the Guild before the fall once again consumes us all. But if you’re still alive before then, I’ll be more than happy to accommodate any role playing needs you may have if I can.

You should talk to some of the others, too. Guildmod has sent you a PM package to add with your new arrival and there are any number of veterans who are more than qualified to answer your questions. Maybe they can tell you more.
