Brief Background
The greatest journey of your young lives takes place now. Since the days of Ash Ketchum, Pallet Town has grown and thrived as a hot bed for tourists and those wanting to become Pokemon trainers. The late, great Professor Oak's work has spawned what is effectively a starting point for any prospective trainer. People travel from all over Kanto and further to claim their first Pokemon from the Oak Institute, setting out on their journey's to try to become the greatest trainer to have lived. This will be where your story begins. As a group you will travel all over Kanto facing other trainers and gym leaders with the end goal of entering the Kanto Regional Tournament. All the while, something strange is going on in the region and you will need to help solve it or risk great devastation plaguing the land.
Key Points
-Looking for between 1 and 3 players.
-There will be "dibs" on Pokemon to avoid multiples, it will be done in a fair way to ensure that people don't miss out on every one they want.
-No Legendaries/Mythic.
-Pokemon from all games will be able to be caught in the Kanto region (will be explained in OOC if this gets that far).
-Battles vs generic NPC's will be written.
-PvP, Gym Battles and eventually the Tournament will take place using Showdown. I will play the part of Gym Leaders. Ideally after the battles you guys can do write ups to reflect them. I'd suggest taking a look now and just getting a feel for how it all works. There will be rules to how your Pokemon can be set up seeing as you enter all stats etc yourself, but that will be covered in OOC.
Player Expectations
-As said above i'm looking for at most 3 people, so this will be done on a first come first serve basis using post order on this thread.
-Usual rules will apply such as god modding etc.
-I'm a flexible GM, if I do something you don't like then feel free to PM me to discuss it.
-I'm not asking for people to post daily but i'd like to see people posting once or twice a week. If you can't commit to that then please don't register your interest as it will not be fair on the other players.
-I would prefer European or East Coast US players purely from a functionality standpoint in terms of using Showdown. It's not a restriction but if you're any more than 5/6 hours either side of GMT there'll be more emphasis on you to accomodate to me when it comes to Gym Battles etc.
Closing Points
I am off work this week so if people are quick we could look at realistically getting this going by Sunday.
