Reia was new to the town of Galia. It was much smaller than the city she grew up in, Silvermoon Pier. That was a major city with amazing amenities, night and day life, and a huge variety of Mythics and Magic Users. But the city life wasn't for her anymore. She wanted to be somewhere where she could connect with herself and soul search, and the city wasn't the place for that. Luckily, Reia's father worked for the SPA guild as one of the lower guild masters, and he was able to send Reia with enough Solars in her account to buy her own place and have some left over for everything she would need. She found a place along a quaint stream, and it was perfect for her.

She planned on joining the guild here too, knowing she had still so much she could learn about her power. Reia wrapped a warm cardigan around her thin frame, and then pushed her hair away from her face slightly. Her hair was as black as a raven, and her eyes were blue like ice against her pale skin. She was excited to start her new life here in Galia, hoping that she would feel more fulfilled here than back home. She made her way to the Order of Galia guild, taking in her surroundings gently. She began to hum quietly to herself, and she held a tiny little map in her hand on a piece of paper to help her find her way. The town really wasn't that big, but she could get lost if she wanted, she figured.

Finally after a short while, she came to the building and looked at it for a few seconds before heading inside the doors, putting the map into the back pocket of her jeans. "Here goes nothing," she whispered to herself, walking up to the main desk to find out some more information about her classes, the layout of the guild, and just how things were run in general.

Welkins was making his rounds through the small town of Galia. Not much happened often, but it was still one of his jobs in the Order of Galia to fulfill. As usual he greeted everyone he saw with a smile and wave as he had his rifle slung across his chest and his sabers by both his sides. Welkins was a young man just starting out in the guild. His father had been a guild master and he wanted to be just like him one day. Not many people got to make their way up in the ranks that often like his father did, so it would be rally cool if he could do it too.

"Nice day for a stroll isn't it Welks." One of the towns folk said to Welkins as he passed by. "Just doing my rounds for the guild today Isara." He smiled and waved at the woman. She was maybe a few years older than him, but he never asked since it was a very rude thing to do. "When are you going to get that hair cut our of your eyes Welks?" Isara poked fun nowing full well that He liked the way his hair was. Welkins had thick brown hair that covered his right eye slightly. It didn't matter much since he had a glass eye patch over his right eye. There was nothing wrong with his eye at all if anything the eye patch helped when he had to aim down the sights of his rifle. The glass made it easier to look out of. "When it get's a little longer I'll take a few centimeters off." They both giggled and Welkins was on his way. Galia was small and everyone in the town knew everyone, which was nice when someone needed help.

Welkins finished his rounds and started to head back to the guild to let the guild master know that he finished the walk around. It has been a long day and he just wanted to get home and lay down. "Should be a smooth rest of the day." He smiled to himself and walked on into the main building.

Reia was speaking quietly with the woman at the desk. She had drawn on a piece of paper where her classes were in regards to the main foyer. She had smiled and listened attentively, taking the new map she had gained and holding it in her hands. "Thank you again so much for your help," Reia said, smiling a little at the woman when she felt another person walk into the room behind her. That was one of the things Reia could do with her Spirit affinity. She could feel people's presences right away. She hadn't met many people in the town yet, and she felt like each person she met was curious and almost surprised at the fact she had come from somewhere else, at the fact she was "new".

She turned slightly and looked over her shoulder to see a young man walk into the room, he had brown hair and he wore a glass eye piece. She figured he looked mostly human, but so did she and she wasn't. She turned back to the woman at the desk again and gave one last thanks, "I'll see you around I'm sure." Reia looked down at the map now, standing still to make sure she would follow the right way to each class. Finally she began walking slowly towards a long set up stairs heading up onto a second floor.

Welkins walked up to the main building and noticed someone new through the glass double doors. He had never seen this woman before in his life. Maybe she was new. He'd just have to ask Wendy at the front desk. Once he walked in, the girl had turned around slightly as if to see who had entered. He smiled just to be nice and was only able to catch a glimpse of half her face. From what he saw she was cute. He couldn't wait to meet her, but before he could walk up, she left looking down at a map. She must be looking for her classes.

Once the girl was out of earshot he made his way up to Wendy. "Hi Welkies, how are you?" Welkins sighed, but smiled at Wendy. "Wendy you know I hate it when you call me that." All she did was smile and laugh. "Oh I know, but it's because of that that I do it." She put her pen down. "I'm guessing you're here to report in? I'm also betting that you want to know about that new girl too." She winked. "Umm well yes to both of those." He blushed a little thinking that he made it to obvious. "Well you know I can't tell you much, but what I will say is that she just moved here and you will have her in one if not more of your classes starting tomorrow." Welkins was both excited and disapointed at what Wendy said. Excited to meet the new girl and dissapointed because he couldn't meet her now. Oh well he was ready to go home and call it a day. Who knows maybe they will stumble into each other at some point today.

Welkins said thinking you Wendy and started to make his way home.

Reia was busy making her way to each class to learn where they were. It didn't take too long of her going back and forth to get the building down pat. She was pretty smart, and usually remembered things fairly quickly. Once she felt confident enough that she could find her way tomorrow, she went back down the stairs to the foyer. She thought maybe she would go see town center and the market and see if there was anything of interest there. She waved gently at Wendy and then left the building.

Reia wondered if there were ever any type of threats to Galia. Often in Silvermoon Pier there were mythics and magic users causing problems. She felt like she didn't need to carry her daggers around here, though figured she would starting tomorrow, just in case. She was tiny after all, standing at just 5 feet and weighing only 90 pounds. Despite her small stature though she knew she could be fierce. Finally she made her way to the market place, and stood there in the street just reading all the names of the shops and looking at the vendors.

Welkins started making his way home only to find himself talking to Isara again at the markets. He loved interacting with everyone, but today he just really wanted to get home. He was tired and wanted to hurry up and meet this new girl. "Have you seen the new girl yet Welks?" As if Isara already knew what was on his mind. "Not yet. When did you see her?" He was a little shocked about this. Isara got to meet the new girl but he didn't? Damn it. "I haven't met her yet, but I saw her walking down the street towards the stream. Who knows maybe if you run you'll catch up with her." She giggled to herself at the though of Welkins running after some girl.

Welkins didn't want to look or sound weird to the new girl so he just shrugged it off and continued his way home only to stop at the weapons smith to buy more ammo for his rifle. He never really used iit except on hunts, but he liked to be prepared. That what his father would always say. "Son." He would start. "No matter what is going on you should always be prepared for the worse to happen." It was good advice and he always followed it.

Reia Stood outside on the street, a weaponry to her right, and a book store to her left. She saw the boy from earlier at the guild head into the weaponry and her eyes watched him go inside the shop. He wore what she thought might be a uniform, and was curious what his job was. He looked fairly young, though was unsure what someone of his age might do for a career. She turned towards the book shop and thought about whether or not she should go inside. She did figure she would need to get some text books for her classes, and she did have the lists of her classes. Maybe the shop keeper could help her find some text books. She also needed to get some groceries. She shifted her gaze from the book store to around the market, but couldn't see an obvious sign for something similar to a grocery store.

Finally after a few moments, she followed the boy into the weaponry and stood quietly in the doorway, looking around. She could feel three people inside the shop currently not including herself. One man stood behind a counter, another was working on what looked like a sword of some kind, and the boy she had seen earlier. She cleared her throat slightly, though the sound was extremely quiet.

"Excuse me. Can someone help me find a grocery store?"

Welkins heard someone behind him and turned around to answer. In front of him was the tiny girl from before. She seemed to be lost and he knew the whole town so why not help out. "Oh hello I saw you earlier at the guild building. I'm more than happy to help you find the grocery store. I'll take you there myself." He smiled excited to see the new girl. "I'm Darion Welkins, but everyone just called me Welkins. What's you're name?" He started to lead the girl out towards the grocery store which was closer the the center of town by the Windmill.

"You're new here aren't you? I've never seen you before. I guess it would only be gentleman of me to welcome you to our town of Galia." Welkens was very curious about the girl. It wasn't often that new people would come and join the Order of Galia. As they reached the grocery store, he stopped and smiled at the girl. "Well here's our stop. If you ever need anything just ask. You can usually find me around town or in the market. I can show you around sometime if you'd like." He just kept smiling, hopping he made a good impression.

The boy from before approached her, and introduced himself as Darion Welkins. Though mentioned that people just called him by his last name. Reia never called people by their last names unless she was speaking formally. He then asked her what her name was. "Reia Stone. Nice to meet you," she said gently, taking in the features of his face. He led her towards the very center of the town, and Reia could see a tall windmill in the middle as they approached.

Darion asked her whether she was new, and she sighed, looking towards the ground for a moment before answering him. "I am new. I came from Silvermoon Pier. My father is a Guild Master there at SPA. But the city wasn't for me," she smiled softly, looking up at the windmill again gently, admiring it. "Have you lived here your whole life?" she asked him in return. Everyone she had met so far in Galia seemed to be extremely friendly. She knew though that wouldn't be the case all the time. She looked at the grocery shop, and listened while he offered to take her around the town some time. She blushed, wondering if he was flirting, or if he was just really friendly like that to everyone. His soul really seemed kind as far as she could tell.

"I better let you go, you look as if you're dressed for business, so I won't get in the way while you're busy. Thank you for showing me the way!" Reia said, feeling thankful. She walked towards the shop, looking back over her shoulder at him curiously, flashing a cute grin and waving.

Welkins looked up at the Windmill with Reia and smiled. "From the big city, huh? That really cool I've never been there before, but have it on my list of places to see. Yes I've lived here all my life and I quite like it here. It's small and everyone nice. Well atleast most of the time. There are a few who are rude, but don't pay them any mind." He looked down at Reia while she was still looking up. She was very cute and he really wanted to get to know her more. Hopfuly they would become good friends. She made a comment on his outfit which did seem very military like, but that's because it was. He had to wear it since his job in the guild was a scout. Which was another reason why he had a rifle too.

"Oh this?" He looked down and pointed to his outfit. "Nah I have to wear this everyday. I'm a scout for the Order of Galia. All scouts have to wear one. I just so happen to be the only one." Reia thanked him for showing him the way and started walking over to the grocery store. She looked back over her shoulder and flashed him a grin and waved. He smiled back at her and waved back. She disappeared into the building while Welkins just stayed standing there for a few minutes. He couldn't get Reia's grin out of his head. It was just as cute as she was. Everything about that girl was cute. In all his years of living in Galia he had never seen any one as cute as her. 'Better not tell Isara that. She might skin me alive.' He laughed to himself and started to make his way back home.

Reia went into the grocery store and slowly made her way through each isle, picking out specific items. She contemplated each item as though the decision was extremely important, but it was mostly because she wasn't good at deciding on things usually. By the time she reached the check out, her cart would look like one that most people would describe as "hippie". All natural, organic items. She was also vegetarian. "Rabbit food" her dad often commented when she ate, and Reia would always just roll her eyes. "You should try it, it might do you some good," she would always reply. They'd laugh about it together. She missed her dad a lot, but knew she would make trips to see him when she could. Maybe she would even get missions from The Order to go to Silvermoon Pier and then she could visit.

Since Reia didn't have a faster way of transportation, she walked home with all of her groceries in paper bags. She held them close to her body and just her eyes peeked out over the tops of the brown paper. She moved slow and carefully so she wouldn't drop anything, and hummed quietly to herself.

Welkins eventually made it back home after being stopped by quite a few people on the way. He din't mind it all to much though since he liked everyone. After kicking his boots off and placing his rifle and sabers down, he made his way to the kitchen to make some food for the night. Chicken and baked beans. It's wasn't what he'd normally have, but he felt really good about the day. Made a new friend and the town was still peaceful. He was mostly happy about his new friend Reia. He couldn't wait to see her tomorrow at class. It wasn't everyday that someone from Silvermoon Pier moved to little ol' Galia.

Once dinner was done he started to take off his uniform and put on some normal clothes. After washing all the dishes he used he grabbed his rifle and headed out again.

The evening was starting to get a little darker, and Reia was still making her way home. She had picked a house on the outskirts of the town on purpose, though she had a bit of neighbors, it wasn't like they were in her immediate space, which was nice. And the stream added a gorgeous touch to the scene. There was a small little bridge leading from one side of the stream to the other, and she often just stood there watching the water. As she walked she stopped for a moment to readjust the bags in her arms, and stopped humming for a few moments.

She could feel another person close by, and turned in a complete circle to try and find the source. It was him again! Reia wondered what he was doing outside again, noticing he was leaving a windmill. He must live there, she thought. She really loved the touch they gave the little town. She couldn't raise an arm to wave at him though, and instead just watched for a few moments from behind the grocery bags. She was close to home, and her arms were beginning to hurt from holding them out for so long.

Welkins Looked around as he walked out of his house. The Windmill was a nice place for him to live. It was peaceful and out of town. Gave for a good look up at the stars. Looking around he noticed that there was someone close by. They were holding a whole bunch of paper bags and looked like they were going to fall. Welkins rushed over to help and noticed that it was Reia who whas holding the bags. His speed became a little faster and caught the bags before they fell out of her hands. "Hello again. Surprised to see you way out here." He smiled and laughed a little as he took some of the bags and helped her out.

"So you're the one who bought this house." Welkins pointed to the house in front of them. "Pretty place it is. Hope you don't mind me living next to you." Motioning over towards the windmill.

Reia gasped as the bags began to tumble from her arms, but Welkins was there suddenly to catch them for her. She let out a sigh of relief and then took a couple bags back to even the number. "Hi! Well, technically my dad bought it... That sounds really bad... Nevermind about that," she frowned, looking annoyed at her groceries, hating that she sounded like a spoiled little rich daddies girl. She wasn't spoiled nor rich, her father worked hard for the things they had, including Reia's house now. "I like the peace and quiet. I think you'd make a good neighbor. Will you help me bring these inside?" she asked him, heading towards her front door. She put the bags down on the step for a moment and unlocked the door, picking the bags back up and heading towards the kitchen and pantry, which was nothing short of beautiful. She really lucked out with this home.

After placing the bags on the counter, she turned to look at Welkins and smiled softly. "Would you like a tea, or coffee, or some wine, or whiskey, or something of the like?" she asked, curious if he would want to visit for a while. She watched his face, trying to gauge whether he really was as nice as he seemed. It was hard to tell with new people. She was curious about his glass eye piece, but thought it might be rude to ask. She took in his features again, this time more closely than when she first met him. He stood much, much taller than herself, and his eyes were hazel. He was really attractive, and seemed sweet. She was glad this new person had the potential to be her first friend in Galia.

"Your dad seems like a very nice man to buy this place for you." Welkins smiled as he placed the bags down on the counter for Reia and helped put things away. She offered him some different types of drinks so he figured he could have a tea with her and get to know her a bit more. "I would love a tea if you wouldn't mind." He smiled again and sat down at one of the stools. "Is there anything else you would like me to help you with?" He said gently before sitting. He could tell she was looking at his glass eye piece, but paid it no mined. He was used to people looking by now. She had a very beautiful house though and was surprised when she said that her dad got it for her. He didn't want to seem rude so he didn't ask about it at all. He figured if she wanted she would tell him. "So why did you want to come to Galia? I'm sure there were other places that you looked at that were probably nicer."

Reia smiled softly as Welkins helped her put the things away. He didn't comment on her groceries at all, and that made her happy. People in the city often looked at her weirdly. She didn't think she was normal by any means, but never found that to be a bad thing really. She was a moon elf. The only way she knew to describe that type of elf would to be a mixture between a vampire and a regular elf. But she was more on the elf side of the spectrum. Before she moved to make the tea, she grabbed a hair elastic from the counter that was just laying there, and tied her dark black hair up out of the way into a high pony tail. Despite being up, her hair came to rest above the small of her back, and when it was down, just below the small.

Once the tea was made, she guided Welkins to the living room and then placed the tea pot, cups and saucers, and the sugar and cream down on the coffee table. She moved to the fireplace and started it up, the flames instantly bringing the room to life with the heat, and sounds of crackling and popping. She moved and sat down on the couch and poured herself a cup of tea, fixing it how she liked, and sipped at it quietly for a moment.

"I chose Galia because of how small and quaint it is. I really felt like the city was too overwhelming for my personality. It had it's perks, but it wasn't worth it to me. I'm sure there are places nicer than Galia. My mother was born here, you see. I guess it just holds a special place in my heart. I came here to find myself, if you will. I know that probably isn't the least bit interesting. I'm sure everyone in town was expecting some extravagant story from the new girl."

Welkins sat on the couch oposite of Reia and listened to her closely as we made up his own cup of tea. Two creams and three sugars. Just right. Once Reia was done explaining why she was here, he stayed quiet for a bit as he sipped on the tea. "Well I think that is a great reason to come here. I think that you'll find that the people here don't expect some huge reason why and they are happy to make you feel right at home. I just wish that you could have come at a better time. I don't know if you have heard, but one of the bigger powered city guilds are trying to march their way over and take over. I don't think they will come here, but I just wanted to warn you." He looked down at the cup for a bit then looked up again and smiled. trying not to seem like he was worried, but he really was. Going to war wasn't something Welkins was ready for.

Anyways Welkins didn't want to frighten Reia so he changed the subject. "What kind of classes are you going to take? Wendy said we might have a few together, but she wouldn't tell me which ones." This time his smile was genuine and excited. Nothing made him happier then to have a friend in a class. It made the day go by faster and as much as he liked going to th Order of Galia, he would much rather go on missions and walk the town with his rifle. Who knew maybe one day the two of them could go on a mission together, but that was a distant thought.

Reia listened to Welkins talk about the city possibly being threatened, and her brow furrowed together slightly. It worried her, since she just moved here to call this place her home. If it were suddenly taken from her, she knew she would be extremely upset. But she was good at hiding her emotions. "I'm sure everything will be okay. I think I have a history class, a weapons class, a magic user class, and a free period," she said, her eyes meeting his gently. She went to take another sip of her tea but realized her cup was empty. She must have finished it while he was talking.

She leaned down to make another cup, feeling the warmth of the fireplace against her skin. She smiled and curled up on the couch again with her legs crossed beneath her. She was extremely flexible given her small size, but she had also taken various dance lessons through her life so far, though never ended up sticking with it once she had made the decision to move. The only thing she really stuck with in regards to exercise was yoga.

"Oh!" Welkins said excited "We have weapons class and free period together." He smiled wide, feeling happy that they had more than one class together. Once he was done smiling he reached up to his glass eye piece and made sure it was still on properly. He could still see out of it which was good, but it would sometimes shift and come off, which wasn't good. "Well maybe in our free time I can show you around. The town is your home now so might as well meet some new people and see the sights."

Reia had moved to make some more tea then crossed her legs. She seemed to be very flexible. Welkins had never seen anyone so flexible. Then again he also had never met a girl who was a short as Reia, but that made her cute. A few sips later, Welkins had finished his tea and went to pour some more looking outside and seeing that it had gotten dark. "Oh I had better get home now. I have to be up early for my morning watch. Thank you for the tea and I can't wait to see you in class tomorrow." He said his goodbye then made his way back over to his house. Thinking about Reia the whole time.
