@Lionhearted I edited what I could, to try and narrow it down and change a few things in the Cs in his history :)

Thought on other abilities for Devin.
Could the sword or combat count, as something that he might use? Seeing as Will's got the Bow. They are the only things, that come to mind at the moment.

And for the witch comment :) my second character will be a witch, she's in the works. :)

Here is my attempt, at a Witch. It's been ages since I've done one...so if anything needs changing or so, let me know :) any suggestions are also welcome.

I have a question on whether you would allow witches to be 'priests' as I have an idea of bringing a church to Salem. If this initial idea is fine as 'priests' are essentially witches performing a different branch of magic and calling themselves different names, I'll add a little more lore for you to review if it is fine.

Hopefully this idea is fine but just running it through you two first before starting anything~

@CrystalApple What kind of church are we talking? Is it like some kind of religion based in magic, or an existing religion repurposed by your witch to allow other witches to practice their beliefs without persecution?

I ask because I was actually thinking of looking at the Hunters and religion for the RP a little bit, since Genevieve is fairly religious herself :v

@Alfhedil I was simply think that my character would be a member of the Christian Church and the basis behind it would be that the religion has a duty to mediate both the Supernatural and Mundane world. Of course, they would have a bad reputation and stereotyped but isn't that what everyone does to each other supernatural race that they are not a part of?

So in the end, yes. In this world, Christianity is based on magic that has been disguised and has its connections to all parts of the Supernatural world is what I am getting at.

@CrystalApple I was thinking something a little more lowkey like they believed saints and such were persons of magical importance, not that they outright were xD Can't really sign off on something quite as big as that, especially the whole running the Vatican thing. Maybe something a little more smaller in scale could work though.

Uh... can I just comment on this?

While your idea is creative, and certainly might fit in this world... it doesn't exactly respect the source material. While I am agnostic, I feel that, if you want to try and do this, don't take the filling out of the doughnut to swap it with your own - you can put your own sprinkles on top. Think of a way you can make it fit without drastically altering Christianity.

Devin looks good to go to be placed in the Character Tab! You can add swordplay as one of his abilities, though with the modern setting, I don't really know what kind of instances would call for sword practice. Maybe he does it for sport and it, in turn, developed his skill with swordsmanship?

Ahhh, a good ol', classic witch. I like her! BUT I'd like to bring up a thing or two before I accept her.

I think it's contradictory for Vivienne to open up a wicca store if she dislikes other witch covens and/or anyone else within the supernatural realm. Why would she sell to other witches if she's very secluded within her own coven? Assuming that the store caters to solely supernaturals. Which I want to stress since selling witchcraft to the general public would cause conspiracy and the town would probably force her to shut her shop down.

My next concern would be that -- would she open up this shop to the public? Or just to the supernatural realm(which would be pretty rad if you ask me). Perhaps she offers antiques and whatnot, maybe something like a pawn shop, but those within the supernatural realm that know of her know that she retails supernatural items. ALSO, I would rather you sell scrolls & potions instead of spellbooks. Usually spellbooks are kept by their covens to save for sharing spells to other covens that could potentially go against them.

I'd have to look into this when I get the chance. I'll let @Alfhedil give her input as well. Witches, and anything supernatural, goes against all things holy, making it very contradictory for a witch to practice such a holy devotion. Which is why hunters generally are very religious and battle supernaturals with holy items and what not. MAYBE this could be a thing, and if it already is a thing in a particular show/book/movie, then let me know!

@Lionhearted@Alfhedil Its fine lol, the huge thing was a bit iffy so thats why I placed it here first~ Since that is off the table, I'll make a druid who is a Celtic/Irish Witch coming to town.

A question that comes to mind: Are there other Supernatural races than the ones you listed? Because with this idea, I was thinking of bringing in other creatures of the night if that is fine with you (like faeries and other spirits of the land since it revolves around what my Witch does).

@Lionhearted

My character will be up either later tonight or tomorrow, sorry that I couldn't get it up today. I was driving the whole day for my move, but it gave me all the time to write the character in my head. Which brings me to a question about part of my character's history/ current life. Is it possible for me to have my character have a sibling below the 16 year age limit? The sibling might be used as a npc, don't know if that is the right term to use for it, for me during the roleplay as they are important to what makes my character who they are.

@CrystalApple The druid should be fine, though I find the other supernatural entities a bit questionable. While I don't personally mind things like fae and such in small amounts, I don't think the setting was constructed with the intention of having such entities. Maybe Lion will feel differently on it, but I'm unsure on the addition.

I'm not opposed to druidism and a Celtic/Irish Witch, but I don't foresee faeries and other supernatural spirits/entities fitting well within the theme of this roleplay. Though, druidism isn't limited on faeries and such, many having abilities and spells that resemble the wild, the fire, and other things revolving around nature and of the sort. I believe necromancy does fall under druidism as well.

Yes, that's all right! I just don't want any PC's to be under the age of 16, but an NPC can most definitely be.

Hmmmm, I planned to make a Witch that intruded on Werewolf territory in a innocent way with the nature dynamic that I was going to run with. If this is the case then, I'll just make a Native American Witch which should be fairly more mundane that the previous two ideas that I had going. Hopefully thats fine ^^

While faeries and such do promote innocence, I believe that your witch could intrude on werewolf territory innocently still! I think it'd be interesting for a wolf pack to befriend a druidic witch. It's actually very fitting since the wolves and the druid both have a love for the wilderness! But just go with whatever you feel happiest playing! That also follows the guidelines of course...

I don't believe necromancy falls under druidism. More like under voodoo.

Also the concept of witches under the guise of church people, though largely exaggerated, is not that far fetched. The Church did use pagan hollidays as base for it's own to better supplant the old practices. Christmas and Halloween being the two largest and internationally recognizable that I can offer as an example. I'm not sure as well about the larger scale of penetration though. A single Saint and profit here and there, maybe. Let's not forget Pope Joan, the female Pope. She certainly managed to penetrate way over to the top.

@ihinka That's why I said something more lowkey would work a lot better. I'm actually in favor of some small sects of witches out there who are devout Christians, doing what they do best and making their own sect that accepts witchcraft lol. Though really think it's a little more unlikely for Catholics and the branches from Roman Catholicism, as they've been a fair bit more "killmaimburn" than Orthodoxy in comparison lol. Probably why Genevieve as American Orthodox has such a passive view on the supernatural in general as a hunter :v

That's definitely arguable with categorizing necromancy, that's why it is, in and of itself, it's own branch of magic. Druidism does have aspects and ideologies of promoting life and survival, giving them spells of healing. Though they do believe in an afterlife, so pulling those that are already dead is a debatable topic. I apologize for placing it within the wrong category. Voodoo does revolve around more ritualistic, Native American spellcraft, even implementing spells to raise zombies(which is totally necromancy), but there is a blurred line between black magic and voodoo magic. In all honesty, pure necromancy falls under black magic, and possibly voodoo magic. Somewhere within that gray area.

While the idea of witch guised as a saint could be formed, I believe it'll just add confusion to the roleplay.

That's fine, I just wanted to point out that some aspects of the idea could work under the right circumstances

And of course, all practicioners might get pulled into the dark arts, as they are quite seductive. It's up to a person's own strength of mind, will and resolve weather they resist the temptation.
