@BBeast I can't remember ever picturing him as a human. I probably did before the hain were created, but he went about as a hain for so long that now he's forever a hain in my mind. A normal looking hain as far as hain go.

I've got another question:

How large is a Violet Slug?

My guess is somewhere around the size of a rabbit. Although they could also be regular slug sized.

My best guess is the size of a ferret. I don't remember hearing any further mention of them.

MMMMM Why did this post take so long? Weather, my friends! Beating hot humid heat! Also coming down from my last exam.

Considering the size of the post, though, I'm surprised that it took as long as it did for me to finish it.

Anyway, I hope someone is inspired to do something with it. It's going to be nice to have an active and widespread force for unselfish righteousness in the world for a change.

Being the poster child for someone with way too many plots to juggle, I won't jump on and claim Aeramen (or Crucibar and his rabble!) in case someone else wants to do something. However, I might well try to find ways to weave this into future plots.

What's the timeline on when Aeramen was visited by Vestec? I have an idea for a post with Xos making the rounds and paying a visit to some djinni lords.

A little bigger than a rabbit, but not much.

Well, Xos killing Kyre and Aeramen getting Kyre's sword both happened in 5 PR, so unless you want to specify months or anything higher resolution, you're pretty much free to handle the timing however you like.

Hello! Nice as it is to drop by, I probably wouldn't have if I wasn't mentioned, I'm afraid. That doesn't mean I'm not glad to answer any questions anyone might have about Slough's stuff, though.

Excellent. That is a manageable size. I doubted they would be much larger, given their lifespan, but if they were much smaller there wouldn't be much of them to eat.

Violet slugs are edible, docile, containable, breed quickly, easy to feed...

On that note, how widespread are the Slugs? They seem to have started out as Deepwoods creatures, but must have propagated a fair bit to be a common sight as far south as Tallgrass.

They are specified as 'Forest Creatures'. While, yes, originally this meant around the Deepwoods, they were created before sentient life, so would have had plenty of time to travel. And since the early days Galbar has been covered in trees (in most places on Earth that aren't deserts, if there aren't lots of trees it's because Civilisation has cut them all down), these forest creatures would have probably spread quite far.

I've taken the liberty of updating the map. I, of course, don't have the source files, so the edits are a bit crude, but functional.

Changes:
Acalya infestations have been removed. Goliath would have melted them all by now.
Destroyed the Shimmering Sea land bridge.
Labelled Metatic Ocean islands.
Marked in Omokog, Tallgrass and the new Metera. Amestris has also been labelled.
Removed 'surrounded by swampland' from the Venomweald.
Xerxes has been replaced with a crater.
Replaced Celestial Citadel with the Terrestial Citadel, and placed in correct location. Nearby river has had course adjusted.
Bormahven has been made taller.
Slag's volcano has been added near the Venomweald.
The regions for Phantalei and the Drenched Flowerbed have been marked and coloured.
I've shuffled a little bit of the text around.

@BBeast Welp, time for the explosive list of alteration requests! Let's see...

- Metera seems a little further east and more inundated than usual on that map.
- The Valley of Peace is traditionally inside the ring of mountains Niciel made.
- The isles in the Metatic are pretty huge on that map. However, the map scale is a bit strange in comparison to Earth anyway, so that's not so much of an issue.
- I was under the impression that Angelbood Ridge was on the southmost side of the Nice Mountains' ring.

I'm sure other people have more details. I might be wrong on some things. It's probably the case that many of the labels are easier to read when they're placed outside the black mountain range symbols, so I can see the rationale. However, it might be geographically clearer to just paint a portion of clear green for the labels to slot in within the mountains themselves.

All the same, thanks for updating the map! Your work is appreciated.

- Metera seems a little further east and more inundated than usual on that map.

It's the new non-Euclidean sky-city Jvan made for Phi for the Meterans to go live in. Created during Jvan's reincarnation post and visited by Keriss and Tauga before setting off for the Well Labyrinth. It hasn't formally been named, but it is inhabited by Meterans so until Termite says otherwise I'm calling it Metera.

Metera Valley is still in the original location.

- The Valley of Peace is traditionally inside the ring of mountains Niciel made.
- I was under the impression that Angelbood Ridge was on the southmost side of the Nice Mountains' ring.

Next time I edit the map I'll shuffle that text around.

- The isles in the Metatic are pretty huge on that map. However, the map scale is a bit strange in comparison to Earth anyway, so that's not so much of an issue.

They are probably a bit too big, I agree. Although, since Termite and Loki are working on building a civilisation there, it is probably safe to keep it a bit larger than life for the map.

It might be worth keeping the Howling Gap labelled, even now that Basheer is free and the mountain pass no longer howls nearly so much.

Where exactly in the Ironhearts was that, again?

It's the big gap between the Ironhearts, Venomweald, and Nice Mountains. Because it now leads into the Venomweald and Ommok's kingdom, it's not particularly relevant for nomads or merchants anymore. But it's still a place that the ogres and others could cross.
