I have to build a backend with a database and custom endpoints for a website. I also have to write an image analyzer for another class.

Right. Indie development is a hard job.
A backend is the code that makes a website work behind the scenes. An endpoint is an individual job each part of the website needs to do. It's for a databases class. The analyzer is for an algorithms class.

The problem with the story is that it totally forgets its own established info. Sonic clearly wasn't tortured, considering his attitude. The world is fine. There's no way infinite could have defeated Sonic on that first go.

Yea. The inconsistencies show, and that's part of what takes away from the fact that it could have been a good game.
