I am a HUGE FAN of mahou shoujo anime and recently I read I really great one called "Mahou Shoujo Site"
It's dark ((maybe even darker than Madoka)) but its got some light humor and it's very strange. I mainly like the concept of the whole thing, which is why I want to do this RP.
BTW: I really suggest you read the manga. You don't have to but there's a lot to the story like "Site Admins" and The End Of The World know as "The Tempest" so even though I'm not sure of these things will come up just to be safe try to read at least a bit of it. It's 41 chapters but each chapter is very short.It's also getting an anime adaptation in 2018 so why not read it so you know what you getting into. One more thing: it's not finished but I don't think it'll conflict with the RP.
Anyway on to the concept:
So your a girl or a *boy and your life basically sucks. Either your abused,bullied,depressed ect. something terrible is going on in your life and it's wearing you down. You feel like the world has turned against you. You want to die or kill some or do something to escape the pain, but you don't know what to do.
One day you across a site called the "Mahou Shoujo Site" while scrolling around. An ugly humanoid creature appears on your screen and says "How unfortunate, how misfortune... So I will grant you magic powers... The site will send you a stick... whether you use it or not is up to you...I wish you a fun Mahou shoujo life..." You decide you've had enough internet and go to sleep.
The next morning you find your stick. It can be in the shape of a Pen, or Gun, or a Phone or even a pair of panties. It comes with very vague instructions but has strange powers from stopping time, to changing your appearance, teleporting, mine control and when you use it for hair changes color and blood starts to drip from your mouth, or noes, or ears or even your eyes. A strange symbol appears in your eyes similar to the one on your stick and the same symbol appears on your wrists. The more you use your stick the more the emblem fades away and turns into a black X. You learn that if your emblem disappears you die. You learn that there are other Mahous out there. You learn that there's a way to plug your stick into the computer to access the site.
You learn that this was given to you so you could get revenge. Revenge on a rapist for killing your sister, revenge on the kids in class for making your life miserable, revenge on your parents for kicking you out of the house, REVENGE ON THE WHOLE GODDAMN WORLD FOR TURNING IT'S BACK ON YOU!

*(quick tidbit about boys! I don't think the admins allow boys to become mahou shoujo. SPOILER ALERT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!: One of the characters is a trans girl, meaning she's biologically male. some of the character's say if you identify as a female they'll let you in while other character's say she just managed to 'trick' the admins into thinking she was a real girl. Take this however you want but I, and I mean this in the LEAST trans phobic way possible think the admins were just tricked due to a part in the manga where they show a bunch of other magicals and none of them are boys. however! SPOILER ALERT TWO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!: The manga does show that guys can use magical sticks. HOWEVER this stick wasn't given to him by an admin. Instead he stole it from another magical girl. So while it is somewhat possible for a boy to get a stick it's not likely. I don't know why admins only choose girls but it's probably due to the typical magical girl thing where "women have high emotional powers which allow the to use magic!' or something like that.
I'm still totally open to male chara/non-binary chara. just run it by me first okay?)
