"Mercy! Mercy I beg of you!" a bruised and beaten woman screamed as she was dragged away by armed men for hire. They threw the woman into a cage filled with other ladies of all ages and continued to cry out for mercy. Sadly their cries went on deaf ears as Yamir counted his earnings from his employer, a wealthy slaver from across the sea. He hummed a tune as he counted his coins and grinned with satisfaction as he saw a small bonus. His employer must have noticed as he chuckled and gestured to the cage.
"You managed to get me some very young and fertile goods, my current buyers seem to pay higher for them. I figured you earned a bit more," he chuckled as he looked around the village they were currently in. Above the village lingered a black cloud of smoke that rose from the burning houses. In the dirt roads that traveled through the village blood mixed with the mud and several bodies laid scattered through the village. Men and boys of all ages were hacked down as useless product and the peoples belongings were being gathered in the center to be divided up between the other mercenaries that were hired. The slaver smirked as he was pleased to hire the right people for the job. Yamir smiled as he put his earnings away with a nod.
"Can't say it was fun working with your sick ass, but thanks for the payment," he said before turning to his fellow mercenaries. "Alright lads, lets split up our loot and head to the nearest tavern to spend it all!" the men laughed with agreement and they began to divide the loot from the village, but a sudden howl from one of the men filled the air and a mercenary fell to the ground with a arrow in his back. Yamir groaned with annoyance and unsheathed his sword as what he could only say was the remaining men of the village charged from their hiding spots to attack the band. Yamir scoffed as he saw that they were armed with only farm tools and rocks.
"Don't know when to just die do ya?" he mumbled before charging towards the remaining farmers alongside the other mercenaries. Yamir was the first to reach them and smirked as he reflected a farmers pitchfork with his sword and made a quick cut along his throat. As the farmer gasped for air and gurgled on his blood Yamir patted him on the head and pushed him to the ground before marching towards two more charging farmers. The look of death filled both their eyes, but Yamir only found it to be adorable before falling to his knee to duck under a young farmers hatchet swing. As he ducked under the swing he leaned to the left to avoid the second farmers makeshift spear and grabbed it before yanking him back and sliding his sword into his gut. He let the farmer fall to his knees and shot to his feet as he pulled out his dagger. The younger farmer was now fearful as Yamir grabbed the back of his head and plunged his dagger into his eye. With a shriek he fought to save his life, but failed as Yamir twisted the dagger with a wet crack. The farmer went limp and fell to the ground.
Yamir gave a bored look as he cleaned his dagger on the kneeling farmers shoulder and sighed. "I swear the younger they are the dumber they get," he mumbled before looking back down to the farmer who was holding Yamirs sword in his gut. He gasped and moaned in pain as he spat up blood. Yamir smirked and pulled the mans head back so he can look into his eyes. The farmer glared his hatred into Yamirs eyes, but Yamir only returned it with a cocky grin. "Here," he paused as he gripped his swords handle. The farmers eyes widened with terror and Yamirs grin only widened. "Let me get that," he chuckled before twisting his sword within the farmers gut and cutting his belly wide open. The farmer could only gasp in shock as his organs spilled onto the mud. Yamir shook his head and kicked the man into the ground as he sheathed his sword. "Never gets old," he said before heading back to the loot. "Now, where were we!?"
