Theo averted his eyes from making contact with the prince's own. "I..it's ok" He muttered. "Y-you are clearly...upset.." He added. In an attempt to look at the cover of his book, Theo caught Callum's sight on other places, that were definitely not his book. His waist turned slightly as he took a step back. The pirate had hoped to feel pants under his foot, but all he felt was the stone floor against the soles of his foot. Theo's eyes didn't leave Callum's, who was still scanning up his bare body, not yet to make full eye contact yet. However, before the prince could make eye contact he had looked away, causing Theo to look away as well.

Staring at the rigid edges of the stone wall Theo listened to Callum's responses to his hard work. It had been hard, but Theo didn't have anything else to do over the course of the past month. With the absence of the prince , the pirate had had nothing better to do than plant himself at the small table, quill in hand, and cover the book. He had even had sometime and space to draw on the back of the very last page in the book. It was a ship. covering the upper half of the page. With three large sails, the ship looked as it were almost carried by clouds. A pirate flag caught in a breeze and small waves slapped water up the sides. Theodore had been quite proud of the drawing. He couldn't get it exact, but wanted to show the prince, maybe even rip the page out and hand it to him, he didn't understand why though.

With eyes still fixed on the wall there was no surprise that the man stumbled slightly after getting smacked with his own pants. The legs wrapping around his head from the shear force of Callum's throw. "Oh, yes.. these.." He muttered gripping the rim of his pants. He dropped the blanket, once again completely bare to the world before sliding the cloth up and around his waist. Theodore had never pulled his clothing on so fast. Not even when leaving the barmaids house, when he husband walked in. It wasn't the first time a man had seen him in the nude, just something about his man, this situation that made it all the more awkward. Would things have made a difference if Callum had come in like normal, and continued the rant he had started after entering the cell. Try to ease the mood Theo took a inhaled before sitting down on his bed. "Ok, now you owe me" He said looking towards the prince. The statement had been made to bring things back to normal. However, that statement didn't sound like normal. Theodore didn't sound like himself, and even he questioned why he had blurted out suck nonsense. Nevertheless, he kept it hidden and give Callum a small grin. Waiting only a few moments later after the prince had possibly come closer to senses. "You ok?" He asked, not sure where to go from here.

Callum clutched at his chest, heart pounding widely. It felt as though his face would erupt in flames. Why on earth did it bother him so much? It was just a body. Certainly not the first naked man he'd seen. Granted, it was the first outside the family. His face was perfectly align with the floor completely lost within his, now very impure, thoughts. After several long moments of awkward silence, Callum slowly made it to his feet. His legs nearly buckled under him, still very obviously flustered. "I.. uh.. what?" His voice cracked in response. Now it was legitimately impossible for the boy to get anymore uncomfortable. He turned the face the pirate, hoping his face was back to it's normal colour. Although he seriously doubted it. He couldn't meet the mans eyes. Even with his lower half covered Callum still found himself lingering to the upper. Suddenly he bolted towards the door, shoving the book in Theodores hands as he passed. "Lovely work, gotta go, bye," He nearly shouted at an extreme speed, quickly leaving the cell.

Slamming the door behind him, Callum fell against it. He stayed there working hard to gather his breath, listening to whatever the pirate might be doing. It made sense now, why he was so interested in the man. A great demon had plagued Callum for many years. He had cut himself off from the world and seemingly was rid of it, but as all demons do it came back harder and stronger than ever before. No one but him knew about it, no one but he was allowed to. He would crush it out of him. His shaky legs took him out of the tower and back to the castle where he hid away in his chambers. The boy laid on his bed, numbness overwhelmed his body. It had all felt like some sort of nightmare, a delightful nightmare. Wait what? Delightful? He pushed the thought from his mind, it was the furthest thing from delightful. Awful, that's the word he meant.

He didn't move from his spot until the night had grown terribly dark. Only the light of the full moon outside allowed him to see. At some point his breathing had turned back to normal, but he wasn't sure when. He had tried to work out all the ways he could rid himself of his problem, none of them sat well with the prince. Glancing to the table that sat to to right. He gazed upon the pile of paper that sat upon it. An inkwell sat beside them, brand new quill laid ontop. His thoughts immediately raced to the pirate, who probably sat confused at his actions. He had bought the stationary for him. Pulling himself out of the bed he let his feet hit the cold hardwood floor. Standing felt almost foreign to him in the moment. He bent down to pick up the stationary, tucking it under his arm. With a glance he saw a glint of gold on the corner of the endtable. His doubloons. Snatching them up he tucked them in his pockets and made his way silently through the castle. Just as quietly he snuck through the courtyard, hoping the guards wouldn't see. Imagine if they saw him sneaking to the pirates cell in the dead of night, oh the stories they'd fabricate.

Callum was just as quiet and sly going up the stairs and to the cell door. When he finally faced the iron obstruction, he very gently lifted his fist to it. Knocking so quietly it was almost inaudible, hoping the man inside was awake. "Psst. It's me. I wanted to apologize for this morning," His voice was a quiet whisper, only getting in through the small slot in the door meant for food trays. He was waiting for some indication that it was safe to enter.

With Callum's leave, Theo sat on his bed. Puzzled by what had happened with the prince. He wanted to chase after the man for some reason. He rose to his feet, although they had seemed to liquefy under him and he fell to his knees beside the bed. "Why?" Theo mumbled. Why had he reacted that way. Balu and other crew mates had all had a nude day on deck, and no embarrassment there. Why couldn't he have kept his composure? Why did he wants to go after the prince. That man was a busy one, he could have had a thousand things to do, yet he came at the crack of dawn, to see this man. Theodore slowly lifted himself back into standing. "Good..bye.." He said to the door, thinking the prince was long gone . He tossed the writing book back on the table, and crawled back into bed. Many things rushed through Theo's head.

They all had one thing in common. The prince. The small woman like figure he had saw on the day they met. It's slender arms, and small face. Short strands of onyx hair that, even cut short, made his feminine features show. Everything about the prince was unlike any other man that he had met. Most of his crew were scarred beasts of men that weren't soft at all. In fact they reminded him of the thorns of a rose. Each sharp, and not afriad of tearing you open. Than on top sat Callum, the beauty that lures you- wait what was he thinking. Callum was a man. A man. "A man." He said to himself, repeating the words several times. His mind always replied 'who care's'. This man was beautiful. He had saved Theodore's life, and given him a new one. It wasn't the one that he wanted to live. I didn't matter, as long as Callum stayed in it. This endless battle of right and wrong played itself out in the pirate's head for hours. He hadn't even rose to eat his meals, to which the keep had took back and a hard sigh. The man mumbled something about starving, and foolish. Theodore wasn't listening, he didn't care.

Night came, and by then he had completely convinced himself that everything was going to be ok. The prince is a prince, and he a pirate. All this was, was a friendship. A friendship built on stories and lessons. Once there are no more stories, no more lessons. The prince will grow tired of him and put him down like a stray dog. He couldn't allow himself to get lost. He wouldn't be played. Theo took in a deep breath as the Keeper had come to take away his untouched dinner away. "I'll eat this one" He called as he rolled from his bed, snatching the food, only to place it on the table and lay back down. If he got hungry sometime tonight, at least he would have something. Theodore returned to his bed and curled up in his blanket. Thoughts started coming back to him. He had told the prince-Callum- he had told Callum to take off his pants. The pirate king, Theodore Dead-eye Daniels, had told a young man, and the prince of Junia to take off his pants. Oh god. Things could get really bad. The man began interrogating himself on the subject. His thoughts were broke by a knock and he snapped back into reality. "huh.." Slipped from his lips, pondering who knocks on a cell door at this time of night, or at all. Theodore's new question was answered by a small noise that came from the other side of the door.

The pirate rose off his bed in a half leap as he scrambled to find his shirt. Wait, what was he doing. He took a deep breath before making his way towards the cell door. "Ok.." He said back through the door. His face started the red as Theo remembered the morning. "I..uh.." He couldn't muster up a decent reply and his face went redder. The man wasn't even looking at him, why was his face heating up? A mutter came from his lips, an assortment of syllables that was suppose to be a 'come in' but was more like 'ccoofmmm enn'. Preparing himself for the prince's entrance, Theo made his way to the bed and wrapped himself in the blanket. Maybe in the darkness of the corner Callum wouldn't realize how red the pirate was.

Slowly Callum opened the cell door, turning to close it as quietly as he could muster. Just entering the room made his face ignite and not in an especially great manner. He had to get over it though. So swallowing some of his pride, Callum turned to face the pirate. To face Theodore. "I'm not completely sure what came over me this morning, but I want to apologize. It was most rude." With enormous effort Callum looked the man directly in the eyes. Well, eye. He reached under his arm and pulled out the stationary: clean parchment, a quill and fresh inkpot, and approached the man.

He walked a little closer than he intended. Just enough to see that his wasn't the only reddened face in the room. Somehow this made Callum feel both less comfortable and more at ease at the same time. Less comfortable that his feelings earlier had been a mere fleeting though, but more at ease to know he wasn't the only one afflicted. "Here." His voice was soft and kind. "I bought these for you on my last trip. To write or draw, your choice." Callum lit the candle on the wall, illuminating the cell ever so slightly. Giving it an almost romantic vibe. Then he saw the notebook on the table and decided to flip through it. Impressed by Theodores improvements, actually letting himself appreciate it this time. When he got to the last previously blank page he saw the pirate ship. "Is this yours?" His voice was a little shaky, almost turning to sit on the bed opting for the small bench against the wall instead.

Theodore was a criminal. He had stolen, pillaged, raped and murdered. Men, women and maybe even children. The stories around his name were boundless, a wanted man. And according to the posters still hung up in some taverns, Dead or Alive. Every country in The Arch wanted his head, which is part of what was taking the trial so long. However, despite all of this information Callum saw something in him that he couldn't deny. A gentle-spirit who wanted to return and care for his crew and live freely. Chances were that King Brandon, Callum's father, would have the pirate executed. And even if he didn't if somehow Theodore escaped or was set free, Callum knew he'd never see him again. And in that moment he wasn't sure which upset him more. His gaze changed from the picture to Theodores face, only semi-aware of the thousands of emotion dancing across his face as he waited for him to answer.

Theo watched the door open and the slender figure of the prince slide himself through the doorway and stand with his back facing the pirate for just a beat, to close the door. Watching the subtle actions of the prince from his corner, Theo slide out of the blanket. Seeing the redness of Callum's face, reassured Theo that the prince was just as embarrassed by the days events as the pirate, making him feel more at ease. Taking a detailed look one would be able to see the slight shadows of scars on the man's chest. Some jagged and detailed with rough skin from a long, painful healing process, and others small and smooth. Scars from swords, and guns, and adventures, and near death. Lines and circles, like an abstract painting that could be hung on a wall if the colors were anything but nude. In the light of day most of these scars would blend in, and appear smooth, but in the dim, romantic candle light, Theo's body was the evidence of his stories. His face held it's own as well, though still reddened with embarrassment. The left side of his angular face scared, and the dim light of the candle caused his colorless eye to almost appear a dusty brown. His hair and beard casting heavy shadows against his body. The sides of his hair hanging ever so slightly over the right side of his face while his beard was just baring unkept, as if tomorrow was the day that he would trim it with the shaving knives that the pirate was hiding his room.

"Yes, Balu and I had named her, Veil Rover, because she takes us through worlds and protects us. To the people of the land, and most navies, she is 'Vile Raider'. You probably already knew that though, I am surprised that you would have never seen her, with all the information that your country has on me. I wonder where she is now." The dead-eyed man stated moving to the edge of the bed and looking over Callum at the picture.

He backed up just in time before Callum turned his head to look at the pirate. A devilishly goofy grin slide acrossed his face. He was delighted that the prince liked his drawing, and had been admiring the hard work he had put into writing over the month that he had been away. Finally seeing the presents that the younger man had brought him this time, sitting on the table beside his cold food, Theo got out of his bed and sat in a chair at the table.

"Anything I want eh? Thank you." He looked at the quill, then picked up the inkwell. "What would happen to all of this if the King decided to pay me a visit?" Theo thought, turning his gaze to Callum. He didn't have a problem with this treatment, or what would happen of him if the king saw the Pirate King getting such good treatment. He thoughts went back to Callum. Would he get in trouble, would his father punish him? The pirate imagined the prince with scars from a whip along his slender body. His smooth milk skin being beaten for what he was doing for a pirate king that was wanted around the world. His chest dripping, blood running down. Where were his thoughts going? Theo pulled himself back into the cell lit in candle light. "Did you.. Want to talk about your trip?" He asked remembered how flustered the prince had been that morning. "Tell me of your adventure." He grinned crossing one leg over the other in a feminine fashion and leaned back in his chair crossing his arms over his bare chest.

Callum scoffed at the pirate king's inquiry. "Adventure? That's quite the generous title," The princes' face twisted in thought, as if trying to think of even one interesting point. "Well, I spent a month sitting in my brother William's castle, reading books, filing papers and basically being his secretary. By myself. Waiting until supper time when him and my father would return and share the beguiling stories of their days-long hunts, all the while my mother was busy devoting her time to my chirpy and annoying sister-in-law; falling over themselves planning for the little creature--I mean baby" Callum let a long breath, having clearly held it in for his vent. "So basically my 'adventure' involved a whole lot of watching others enjoy their lives while I stood by doing nothing." Callums gaze fell back to the drawing.

His annoyance and frustration were nearly palpable in the room. Gingerly he reached for the quill and, dipping it in the ink, he used it to draw a crude little stick figure wearing a crown standing in the ship. Callum put the quill down and looked Theo directly in the eyes, a whirlwind of emotions spurring in his own. "It's not fair. I've been sentenced to spend my entire life blindly following whatever my parents say and do. I'll never own land, there's simply not enough to go around. My mother refuses to let me hunt or fish or do anything fun that might be even remotely dangerous. I'm not even allowed to leave the castle grounds without someone holding my hand!" Callum's anguish brought him to his feet, tears in his eyes.

"You are the only interesting thing in my life." The small prince had never felt smaller then he did in that moment, trembling in front of one the most feared men on the continent with his heart on his sleeve. What was it about the pirate that made Callum feel so safe; like he could bear his deepest wounds and know he'd receive only the best of care.

Theo chuckled softly, keeping a kind smile on his face. The name brought back memories. In the beginning they weren't pleasant. It started in a cell, attached to a table. It continued with no food or water. The climax was the clicking of a wheel and pulling of limbs. Theo couldn't forget the ending though, because it ended with a visit from a prince. The name William.

The pirate was still paying attention. He quickly brought himself back into the problems of the prince and watched the man let everything out. Theo looked down at the little drawing and as Callum began to break down even more the smile faded from Theo's face. The hardships of the a royal born too late. Theo stood up beside Callum. He wanted to comfort the prince, but he wasn't sure how what he could do. The pirate gently gripped Callum's wrist, and moved in front of him peering down at the small prince.

"It's ok.." Theo said as he took the book from Callum and laid it on the table. "It's not though, its hard and unfair and boring and painful, and it's not ok and I get it." Seeing the tears in Callum's eyes, and without thinking, the pirate pulled Callum to the his chest then let go and wrapped his arms around the smaller man. "But you can share it with me". The mans arms were wrapped around Callum carefully, but strong. He liked how the prince felt in it arms, but would let go if Callum pulled away from him. A breeze of cold ocean air blow through the open window of the cell, blowing out the candle.

Callum felt the older man's hand wrap around his own, much smaller, wrist. Not resisting in the least as he maneuvered the book from his grasp onto the table. He simply followed the movement while working to keep his tears at bay, as had do often been taught. However his efforts proved to be in vain when Theo embraced the young prince.

Within a moment Callum had all but collapsed in the pirate kings arms, grasping tight at his shoulders for support. For once, he was actually grateful to be short as it meant an ugly sobbing was muffled by Theos chest.

The two stayed like this for what seemed like hours, until they eventually found themselves sitting side by side on Theos bed.

"I'm sorry..." Callums voice came out like a whimper, his face red and puffy from the crying. "That was rather... inappropriate," Callum brought his gaze up from his knees to look at Theoand noticed the increasingly red skin on his shoulders. Callum reached across and gently placed his hand on the abused skin "I also believe I might've bruised you," Callum had never been well aware of his own strength, however he seemed to be even less so when upset. I should bring some ointment next time, he thought to himself, his hand still absently caressing Theos shoulder.

This feeling was both familiar and odd. Despite his best efforts, this wasn't the first time Callum had lusted for a man. It was, however, the first time he had felt so utterly at ease in anothers presence.

"Why am I so comfortable with you?" The words left his mouth before he could even think of silencing them. His face and ears immediately getting hot with embarrassment as there was nothing could do apart from wait for the pirate kings reaction.

Callum weighted a tad more then what Theo could have guessed before the boy collapsed into his arms. The pirate's arms stayed strong while holding up Callum's small frame, and he let the boy cry into his chest without a word. The small amount of chest hair that Theo had stuck to his chest and other tears ran down to Theo's pants line. The wetness had made Theo's chest itch slightly, however, it wasn't quite as bad as the pressure on Theo's shoulders.

Callum had gripped tightly. Theo was shocked by the force that the younger man had put into his grip. The boy must not have been thinking, and damn was he ever strong. As the older man looked down at Callum he could see the skin under the boys fingers whiten, although he chose to say nothing. By morning Theo would have hand shaped bruises on his shoulders, but he didn't care, his chest was evidence that he had endured worse.

It wasn't long before the two men found themselves sitting along side one another on Theo's bed only inches apart. Theo had been staring straight ahead, not really focusing on anything in particular before his ears caught Callum's apology and he looked down at the boy.

"You don't have to be sorry, I am not exactly 'proper' company, so you don't have to act like I am." Theo said with a grin. He was throwing some caution to wind with his words, but somehow they felt like the right thing to say. He ignored the reddening skin for the moment. It wasn't a big issue for the pirate. Although at feeling Callum's soft fingers against his shoulder a lust began to brew from within him. Familiar, yet completely different as it had never been for a man.

As Theo's face began to redden from his own thoughts, he smiled towards Callum. " I don't judge you for what you are. I sit here beside you.." The words he wanted to say, Theo knew he couldn't, knew that at this time they wouldn't be right and that he might scare the prince. "I judge you based on who you are. And I'm... glad that you fell this comfortable to tell me things. So thank you." Theo's face grew closer to Callum's as he moved a rough palm over one of Callum's hands.

Taking a few moments to just stare into Callum's puffy red eyes, Theo almost leaned in for a kiss, but stopped himself and backed away. "Callum, there is something different about you.. and I can't put my finger on it.. but I.." He cut off looking around at nothing before giving in and leaning in to give Callum a little peck on the lips. He couldn't describe the feeling in his gut. It wasn't like when he would take a woman into his bed. Theo didn't wait to observe Callum's reaction before wrapping one arm around the small boy. He fit so perfectly that Theo couldn't resist. He moved one leg behind Callum and gave the boy another kiss, this one a little less shy but still a quick peck, pulling the boy on top of him.

It took a few long moments before the intentions of Theo's second brain to calm themselves and the men found themselves in one anothers arms. Theo had his arms loosely draped over Callum, not so much as to hold him down, but just enough to so Callum wouldn't fall off his chest. The only covers that Theo had over him was the Prince and soft sea air that blew threw his window. He hadn't talked in the later half of the men's cuddling; Theo had just wanted to enjoy Callum's company, The boys hair laying loose over his shoulder, and the light caresses of Callum's fingers against Theo's chest. The awkwardness fell away to leave only comfort that lulled the pirate to sleep soon after. One arm loosened and slid off to dangle off the edge of the bed.

Theo's words struck Callum like a warm summer ray.

His whole life, everyone he knew was at a different level than him. Callum's royal blood, in many ways a curse as much as it was blessing, put him dimensions above any servant, commoner or indeed even some nobles he met. Meanwhile his place in line and lack of any real title, placed him miles below everyone else, his parents and siblings included. And each had their own set of rules and decorum to follow, resulting in Callum becoming something of an island among his peers. Without even realising it, he had come to feel utterly alone in it all. There had never been someone that Callum could act and speak with as an equal; unburden his mind with and perhaps return the favour. No one with whom he could simply be him. Not Callum the Prince of Junia, but Callum the person like any other.

Until he met Theo that is. From the beginning the pirate king had never treated Callum like he was his superior, and despite a million and one rules saying otherwise, Callum was unable to Theo as less-than. It was as though puzzle pieces were coming together in his mind.

Then; with a bolt of lightening they clicked together as he felt the chapped, life-worn lips of a pirate caress his own. It was only for a second but nevertheless left the prince astonished. Though, not upset or frightened like one would expect to be in such a situation. As if to confirm that he had not dreamt it Callum began to bring his hand towards his mouth but was stopped short when Theo's lips found his again. This time, of their own accord, Callums's lips responded pleasantly and when it was over a second later, he briefly wished it had lasted.

The whirling, pleasant feelings briefly flickered to panic when he was promptly pulled on top of the pirate. Callum couldn't possibly do anything further, and the look in the pirates eyes caused his trust to falter. Callum was tougher than he looked, this he knew, but Theo was even tougher still. What if the pirate decided he didn't like the word no? As if reading his mind, Theo pulled him into a loose embrace, silencing the young mans unfounded doubt. Like that, the two men laid for quite some time, Callum enjoying the steady beat of Theo's heart and the softening breath as he drifted off. Despite the pirate king being in a deep slumber, Callum stayed. Reveling in what was surely a once in a lifetime experience, something to be treasured. His fingers finding themselves entwined in the hair on Theo's chest. His mental argument with the gods grower quieter.

Then, like some sort of magic, the cell had lightened in an instant and a bird had appeared on the window sill, pecking at the bars. It took however but a moment for the situation to dawn on Callum. That it had become actual dawn and that he must of drifted off himself for a time. Engulfed in panic, Callum scrambled to his feet in record time, taking the cloak from the floor and draping it over himself. Praying that he had awoken before the wardens rounds. His attention was stolen by the sound of Theo snorting as he tossed to face the door, still deep in slumber. The prince made his way back across the floor and delivered a chaste kiss to the mans forehead and against his better judgement, another to his lips. He let that one lingering a bit before cover Theo in the blanket and leaving.

After quietly making his way through the jail to the ground, careful to avoid any guards, Callum ran across the courtyard. His legs moving faster than they ever had throughout the castle, racing against the clock to his room. Begging something higher than himself that he's make it before the servants arose.

The warden had been working his morning rounds for just a short while, starting first in the underground before moving into the upper regions. The sunlight beamed through the barred windows of the prison as the warden made ground level, making pockets of warmth that the warden only got to truly experience this time of day. He took a deep breath. The musky air smelling of feces and mold. The man was closer to the second level stairs now and working his way up. Soon he would get just a hint of salt water and sage that he man burned in the upper regions of the prison for the nobles and special cases, such as the Pirate King. For some reason the Prince decided was worth more then a scummy cell that lay in levels under him. Keys jingled at the man's hip as he would peak into each cell, clean out the corners and feed the inmates according to Prince Callum's orders. He didn't take much pride in his job, but Junia was known for their prison thanks to Prince Callum, and the warden, Joseph, wanted nothing more than to please his Prince. Upon reaching the stairs he heard what he had assumed were rats shuffling a crossed the stone floor, and sure enough when he reached the area he had heard to steps, there was nothing. "Stupid rats." Joseph said to himself before turning and knocking on the Pirates door. " Food?!"

Meanwhile the morning guards were arriving to their posts. The light foot falls of the guards could barely be heard through the halls and courtyard. One guard with rusty red curls poking out from under his helmet turned into the garden and took a large stretch, extending his arms out into the air. "Hey! what are you doing?" The guard that had been standing watch before the redhead laughed and replied.

"Staring at a bunch of flowers all night, quiet as a death out here last night." The two men both laughed before the night guard waved at the redhead and left back into the castle to find his bed.

The redhead chuckled lightly before letting out a small yawn and looking out over the courtyard. The guard then saw something, not sure if it was a trick of the eye, but the guard went to investigate just in case. There was a shadow moving along the ground from behind trees and statues. The redhead slowly walked towards to figure "Who's there?! The guard called out. Of course as soon as he starts his shift something has to happen.

Theo turned in his bed. A coolness rushed to his chest that the sleeping man loved. It felt like home with the smell of the ocean, and as he dreamed of Balu and his crew, and pillaging a new land. Taking what he wanted, and celebrating his riches with the closest thing he ever had to a family. Then a metallic ringing sounded throughout his head. Balu and his friends melted away and Theo shot awake. The realization of his prison and his inevitable death hit him like a brick to the chest. "What ever you have this morning." He called out to the warden who slide a gross oatmeal through the food slot and moved on.

Theo looked down at the blanket, now sitting in his lap and remembered that Callum had been there last night. What time did he leave? The thought played through his mind as he rose to grab the barely edible food off the ground and took a lazy spoonful.
