Henry Leopold Adams

The Coyote, "Leo"

Age: 28

Appearance: Leo is 6'2" with dark green eyes, and dark brown hair. He has a nasty scar across his cheek, which leaves a bald spot in his five o'clock shadow, and goatee. He usually wears a white collared shirt that's been dyed and stained from the heat, sleeves rolled up with a dark brown leather vest. He has black dress pants, a handkerchief around his neck, boots, sometimes a worn jacket. He always wears a worn rancher hat. On his side is an old silver revolver, and always carries his dad's gold pocket watch in his vest pocket.

Bio: My story starts in the town of Dawson before it was even named Dawson. My mommy and daddy lived there five years before Richard Dawson showed up, making a living as humble blacksmiths for their town, and weary travelers. When I was born I worked as a "junior apprentice" for my old man when I was able to walk and talk. By this time Dawson had officially became Dawson, and it was clear that things were going downhill fast. Long story short, my parents sold to some Indians that came through town, Mayor Dawson didn't like it, and shot my parents after they begged for their lives... I was going to be shot too, but the bullet missed and hit my on the cheek. The stupid son of a bitch told his men that I was "innocent of sin." That was his first mistake.

I left that town before it got any worse. I was nine at the time, but I managed to run away to another village and become an apprentice for another blacksmith. I soon became the fronthead for the shop though, because I too had a way with words. I could talk people into buying all sorts of things, and once I reached a certain age, I was quite the man for women. Another long story short, there was a group of men that came into our town thinkin' they owned the place, started disrespecting me and the blacksmith, and a few other patrons in the saloon. At this point I've been practicing gunslinging for a while. So, I asked them kindly to get the hell out of the town, and when they refused, I outdrew them. Turns out they were Dawson's boys. I was no longer welcome.

By the age of 18, I set off on my own. For over ten years I felt empty, and dull from most things, but when I shot those men... It sparked something inside me. It gave me purpose. I knew what I had to do at that point. I'd be a fool to go after Richard Dawson at such a young age. He probably didn't even remember me, I was one of a thousand little boys he spared after killing their parents. I wasn't so quick to forget. I started to gain a reputation around these parts. A silver tongued vigilante that wouldn't hesitate to kill off anyone affiliated with Dawson and his gang.

Now, with some experience under my belt, and connections in hidden places, I set out to assemble a team with common interests in dealin' with Mr. Richard Dawson.

Personality: Leo is a suave, gentlemen with a silver tongue. His morals may not be as straight as others, but he does follow his own rules to at least make him better than Richard Dawson could ever be. He self taught himself how to read and write, and liked to recite poems to bring points across. He can be merciful, but at the same time has seen enough to get the job done, no matter what the cost. He has a deep hatred for Richard Dawson, but he does have a sense of humor and likes to have a good time when they aren't working towards their goal. Has a soft spot for families, and will go out of his way to try and help them.

Weapons: An old silver revolver, a Winchester rifle, and a whip

Relationships: If anyone's interested in anything let me know!

Recruited: Yes

Other: Contrary to popular belief, Leo would rather talk his way out of a situation rather than fighting his way out.

----

EDIT: I will eventually get a description of the city of Dawson, just didn't want you guys to wait any longer

Bɪᴏɢʀᴀᴘʜʏ
Sixth child, and only daughter of Wesley and Ellen Knoll; Annette was born on a muggy summer night in the bath tub of her pa's ranch in Dawson. Wesley had delivered every one of his children, and plenty of animals- but no one had seen him ever smile that large until he heard that baby girl first cry out. She was treated like a little princess, but was able to keep up with the boys, climbing a few trees and getting her knees scraped a few times in the whirlwind of growing up.

As her brothers moved on and found their own families, Nettie stayed behind and helped her mother and father on the ranch, their old age quickly catching up to their overworked bones. Ma' went first, quietly in her sleep but Pa' kept on holding on, waking up a little bit later every day. Nettie took all the chores upon herself, pushing harder and longer until she too felt the stress. She was over 20 and hadn't found a man, besides the ranch hands that came and go with the seasons and old perverts who wanted to shoot the last of their remaining seed in someone's hot hole before they kicked the bucket.

Sitting at the kitchen table, hand in hand, Wesley spoke to his daughter, their matching bright blue eyes looking at one another. "I gotta sell the farm to Richard Dawson. For us." he said, and Nettie tossed his hand down. "No!" she yelled, standing up. How dare he throw away everything they had worked so hard to keep? "Is it money you need? I'll get it. I'll work harder. I'll do more." she pleaded, her eyes welling up as she shook in anger. "Nettie..we have no choice." Wesley started before another boisterous "No!" escaped from Annette's petite frame. "Don't fucking take this from me. I did this for you. I won't stop." she yelled again, storming off to her room. The door slammed. Ending the conversation and the night. By morning Annette had already taken her father's revolver and one of their horses and took off into the town.

She wanted Richard Dawson dead.

Age
33

Bio
Bernard Young may not be the smartest man in the West, nor the fastest gun (or the most accurate, for that matter), but, doggone it, he might just be the most resilient. When he was just a three-year-old babe, while his father and his father’s father were hunting and Bernard was home with his uncle and grandmother, Dawson’s men came via a boat. His family’s estate was nearby what’s now known as the town of Dawson, right next to the river. They wanted to seize the land, just as they had done with the town. Joe, his uncle, tried to fight back. He picked up his father’s rifle, said his prayers, and started shooting.

By the time Bernard’s father and grandfather came home, all they found was the mutilated corpse of Joe, the bloody, brutalized remains of the family’s matriarch, the crying, hidden Bernard, and a note by the door that read: “This now here land is the property of Mr. Richard Dawson, a most righteous, pious, and respected man.”

A most righteous, pious, and respected man.

Those were the words with which Bernard came to identify the man who took everything away from his family and murdered his kin, and so he did everything in his power to be anything but.

Bernard grew up to become a drunk, irreverent, godless, no good scoundrel; always in the search for gold. He went everywhere and elsewhere in his journey, rarely finding anything of worth, but becoming an expert on demolition, survival and sneakery (after all, one's never the only one searching for gold in any given place, and greed can be a great motivator for man's most violent instincts) in the process. His talent for making things go boom made him earn the title Powderfinger.

Now, he’s right back where he started. On that damned town they call Dawson. Only this time, he’s not looking for gold. As the tales his father used to tell him as a child come back with urgency to his mind, so does the desire for revenge. Bernard’s got a fistful of dynamite and a good idea of where Mr. Richard Dawson (righteous, pious, respected) can stick it.

Weapons
An old Colt Dragoon Revolver, and a whole lot of dynamite.

Relationships
His whole family is dead, but he’s always accompanied by his faithful hound-dog Old King.

Zuya Keyoe

”Beware the patient woman.”

Age:

25

Bio:

Zuya was born into a Sioux tribe a few miles outside of the town of Dawson to mother Wakiya and father Chaska. Her father was a warrior and a hunter while her mother was in charge of the home. She would be their only child and the couple loved her deeply. As a young girl her mother taught her how to weave baskets, make clothing, cook, and taught her different plants and what their uses were for. Zuya was never appreciative of the things her mother tried to teach her, however, as Zuya wanted to be like her father. She wanted to hunt and be a warrior, but her mother always shot her down. Secretly when her mother wasn’t looking her father would take Zuya out and taught her how to use a bow. She loved spending this time with her father, tho it did cause some issues between her father and her mother.

When Zuya was 14 she had her first encounter with a white man. The man with the funny accent, which she would later learn was originally from a place called Scotland, came to her tribe to trade with them. She was very intrigued by this man and loved to sit with the other children of the tribe to listen to him tell stories. He was always very kind to her and her people and because of this she began to look forward to when he would visit.

On one visit before Zuya turned 15 the man, who’s name she had learned was James Anderson, brought his son with him. Ethan wasn’t more than 20 at the time and Zuya was awestruck by him. In time they grew closer to each other until two weeks before she was to turn 17 he had asked her to marry him. Despite objections from her mother, her father agreed to the marriage and they were married on the day she turned 17. She was frightened to leave her tribe and family, but she knew if she had Ethan at her side she could do it.

She was soon to find out that not all were as kind to her and her people as Ethan and his father were. They moved into the town of Dawson, but soon were run out to the outskirts of town by Dawson’s men. Life was not made easy for the young couple and they often struggled to survive as many in the town were unwilling to sell them things or even employ Ethan. They made it by with her husband hunting and trading with the rare few people in the town that were willing.

This went on for several years, but they always managed to make it by. Eventually Zuya became pregnant and the couple were so very excited to be having a child. Their happiness was short lived unfortunately when 6 months into the pregnancy Dawson’s men showed up at their door. They claimed Ethan owed them money and an argument ensued. Zuya was uncomfortable the whole time as she was getting unsettling looks from some of the men. Before she could register what was happening a shot rang out and she watched her husband collapse to the floor. At the sight of her dead husband she screamed out in grief and anger as she turned and jumped on one of the men. She began beating him with her fists, but was soon pulled off of him. She fought, but there were too many of them as they began beating her. They beat her until she had no fight left and she felt as if she would die. After that she remembers lying on the ground, staring at her dead husband as the men raped her and then left her to die from her wounds.

She was found by an older couple who lived on the outskirts of town like them and often came to visit and trade with Zuya and her husband. They took her in and nursed her back to health, but unfortunately they couldn’t save her baby. She gave birth to a stillborn baby boy whom she named Enapay which means "roars bravely in the face of danger". She was heartbroken for a long time and Mr. and Mrs. Fraser worried if Zuya would soon fade away.

One day she woke up with a new fire lit in her heart. She wants revenge and will stop at nothing until she has it. A year has passed since the death of her husband and child and now she’s out for blood.
Weapons: She has a bow and arrows her father gave to her shortly before she was married and she’s been practicing silently taking things out with it. She also keeps a small dagger hidden on her person at all times so nothing like what happened before can happen again.

Relationships:

Family: Ethan Anderson-husband-deceased
Enapay Anderson-son-deceased
Wakiya Keyoe-mother-alive
Chaska Keyoe-father-alive
James Anderson-father-in-law-alive

Dean Jackson

AKA: N/A

Age: 40

Occupation: Traveling musician and occasional bounty hunter

Appearance: A tall man standing 1.87 meters in height, Dean is in good shape from constant activity. His hair is buzzed short and his beard is neatly trimmed. Scars mark his back, whippings from decades in the past which the markings of are still evident. He always has his acoustic guitar strapped around his back, it is his most prized possession and one he's had since childhood.

Bio: Born in deep southern Mississippi on a plantation, Dean was born into slavery. At an early age he was torn away from his parents along with his sister, Layla, both were sold to another farm in Alabama. The two siblings learned to stick together from then on, always clinging together when they were brought to their strange new home. Dean was particularly picked on by his masters, he was often on the receiving ends of beatings by the cruel slavers, at times taking the punishment for his sister's mistakes. His life was relatively simple for slave, he was expected to pick cotton and work as hard as possible at all times. He still despised every second of it, being considered someone else's property and not being allowed to make his own decisions angered him.

Naturally blessed with a fine singing voice, Dean was given a guitar by one of the slave masters. The man taught the boy how to play it, seeing it as a potential way to make money off Dean. In his free-time he'd frequently make songs, and sing to the other frightened slaves on the farm. He convinced one of the house servants to teach him how to write, and this enabled him to become a better musician. The interest in music helped alleviate some of the pain and sorrow on the farm. Following the end of the Civil War, Dean was given full freedom. A young adult at that point, he immediately set out west on his own, accompanied by Layla. Dean vowed to leave that life behind him, but never to forget the cruelty he endured.

On the journey west Dean often took gigs playing music in bars and taverns across the land. Still often on the receiving end of hate and racism due to his color, he made enough money for Layla and him to get by due to his talents as a musician. While traveling towards Texas one day, Dean and his sister were approached by a group of five men. Hurling slurs and hatred their way, the troublesome group attacked Dean and Layla. The former slave was thrown to the ground and beaten brutally, the money he had collected taken from him. Then he was forced to watch as the evil men forced themselves on Layla. Then in a bout of laughter they killed her, a single bullet through her skull as tears streamed down her face. The men left the beaten Dean alive, then left as quickly as they had arrived. Dean gave his sister a burial, he vowed revenge against the five men.

He continued towards Texas, now with new intent as he seeked vengeance. Aiming to become stronger so that he could kill the five men, he forced himself to become better with a revolver. Then he took bounty hunting jobs when he could, normally low level ones that would paid just enough so that he could get along, but not too dangerous that'd he end up dead. He tracked down one of the men several months later, finding him separated from the larger group. Driving his dagger into the man's gut, Dean made the man speak and he did. The man told him everything, who his boss Richard Dawson was and where the other four men had gone. He stabbed the man in the neck, and moved on. For the last few years he has been on his mission to find Dawson and the four men that hurt him and killed his sister.

Weapons: Dean carries a Colt Single Action Army .45 revolver and a Bowie knife for weapons.

Relationships: Dean has not seen his parents since he was a very young boy, both were slaves and he was separated from them decades ago, he believes they are both dead. He had a younger sister named Layla, but she was killed by Dawson's gang. Due to his wanderer tendencies, Dean does not have many constant friends. He has made friends in the past, but he's left them behind in his travels. He doesn't yet have an opinion on anyone in the group.

Recruited?: Not yet.

Other: He rides a brown horse named Autumn.

Roxanne Westfield

a.k.a. Black Rose

"I ain't afraid to love a man.
I ain't afraid to shoot him either!"

_________________________________________________________________________________________

Full Name:

Roxanne Westfield
Also known as:

Roxy, Black Rose
Age:

26
Gender:

Female
Occupation:

Bandit
Known Family:

Samson Westfield (Father) - Deceased
Anne Westfield (Mother) - Deceased
Jackson Westfield (Brother) - Deceased
Accompanied by:

Equipment:

Winchester Model 1876
Twin Colt 1873 Single Action Revolver
Skills:

Marksmanship
Horse riding
Lockpicking
Quick on the draw
Appearance

Roxanne stands at about 5 feet 6 inches The first facial feature you’ll recognise of her are those highly distinctive chocolate brown eyes that she possess. Her face is heart-shaped, her nose pert, and her lips a healthy shade of pink. In times of happiness, darling little dents of delight appears on her youthful visage, the dimples ever present whenever any form of smile or grin makes itself known. Her shoulder-length hair is a rich shade of chestnut brown that may appear to be a lighter or darker hue, depending on the lighting conditions. Her skin is tanned and boasts a hint of golden undertones and carries some scars from her days of banditry. Her figure is pear-shaped and athletic with her fair share of muscles gained from her highly physical lifestyle.
Personality:

Roxanne’s quite the character. She’s been known to be both bold and adventurous, always keen in trying out new things, be it discovering new places or partaking in activities she had never done before. She’s not exactly fearless, it’s just that there is little that scares her to begin with. Possessing a mean daredevil streak within her, she’s never overly cautious and has no qualms about diving face-first into danger, which most would regard as needless recklessness. Roxy isn’t one to be afraid or hesitant when it comes to doing or committing to decisions. When she decides on a task, she follows through from start to end. Telling her that something is dangerous only seems to excite her more into being involved than otherwise. For the most part, she’s carefree, taking whatever curve balls decide to throw at her next.
Biography:

I was born the only girl to my parents Samson and Anne Westfield. We were ranchers who reared and owned horses for a living and thus my brother and I learnt to ride horses from an early age. As we grew up, riding began to feel like second nature to us, and the whole family helped out at the ranch throughout the day doing a variety of duties and responsibilities. Papa thought it would best if everyone in the family learnt how to shoot, and so we both eventually learnt the inner workings of a pistol and rifle as soon as we were able. I very soon discovered that I had a natural talent with the weapons that made my father awfully proud.

One day, a group of armed men on horses came to the farm, demanding from Papa the liberation of his horses for the needs of Richard Dawson and his men. They were to get nothing in return except for the gratitude of Mr. Dawson(which was honestly worse that horse shit anyhow). Papa wasn't having it, not by any means. A gunfight soon ensued, and we were heavily outnumbered. Papa and Mama told us to run, while they fought valiantly, but their lives and ammo were eventually spent, claimed by the men of Dawson. Tears ran down our face, as I sworn vehemently that one day I would have my revenge against Richard Dawson.

Me and my brother managed to join up with a bandit gang, which did all forms of illegal activities ranging from acting as highwaymen to carrying out contract work and even robbing establishments such as banks and more. The leader's name was called Big Nose Fred and I was his third. With every successful heist, our notoriety grew. Wanted posters began to show up for our more famous brothers and sisters-in arms. The group had frequent run-ins with other outlaws and their groups, not to mention the Dawsons and their cronies. During one of the confrontations, Big Nose Fred and most of the gang were ambushed and wiped out by one of the rival gangs.

The rest of the remaining survivors scattered, and their band of bandits was no more. My brother Jackson had been one of them, which meant that I had no family members left. Now all by my lonesome, I wandered alone until I heard that a group was being formed to take down Richard Dawson. Now that was a cause I could get behind.

Name: Victoria Chatham

AKA: Ruby

Age: 19

Appearance:

Bio: Victoria was born to humble parents Earl and Catherine Chatham in a small insignificant town in Texas. Her father was a ranch hand and her mother a maid at the local inn. She had always intended to grow up, marry a humble man, and live a simple life like her parents. When she was 15 this plan was quickly ruined when both her parents took ill and passed away. With no money and no other family she found the best job a girl of her status could, prostitution. She was very successful at the local brothel as would be expected of a girl with her looks. Most men were lining up for a chance with a “rare” red head and the Madame gave her the stage name Ruby. She grew close to the other girls over the years, considering them to be family. Madame Cresswell even took her under her wing as an apprentice. One night a gang of men came into the brothel for a little “stress release”. When they tried to leave without settling the bill Madame Cresswell told them there would be trouble with the law. That’s when Richard Dawson stated “I am the law” and put a bullet through her heart. His men promptly burnt the brothel to the ground with all the girls inside. The only reason that victoria survived is because Dawson dragged her into the street by her hair, stripped her naked and proceeded to “beat the fear of god” into her. He proclaimed to the gathering crowd that she was being punished for her sins. He then strung her up by her neck in the town square. She hung there naked for hours, most of the towns’ people too afraid of Dawson to cut down her body. When she was finally cut down she was, against all odds, still breathing. When she finally recovered from her wounds she took all her saving out of the bank, paid for the funerals of her friends, bought a horse, a pair of guns, and followed Dawson’s trial right out of the town that refused to help in her most desperate hour.

Weapons: Matching Colt Peacemakers chambered in .38 special.

Horse: Maria

Relationships: Most anybody she was ever close to is dead.

Recruited?: Not yet.

Other: She is rarely seen without a scarf or bandana covering the large hanging scar on her neck.
