@Aislynn Looks like someone's done their research. Tbh, I'm impressed, I never expected to have someone who played the originals as a teammate. That being said, I admit, I haven't gotten around to playing them, since I don't own a PSP or an original PlayStation...

I mean, really, Persona 1&2 are just more traditional SMT games than P3-onward. They didn't have confidants or social links.
