Haegon Longwaters, Master of Coin

The restoration of House Targaryen made having dragon-blood (even a drop) suddenly quite enviable in Westeros. For Haegon he found this opened doors, even for the most minor of noble houses.

The royal treasury was in a difficult place after the unrest and intrigue from the War of The Five Kings and subsequent conflicts. It was decided that the new Master of Coin should be appointed on the basis of skill rather than prominence of their house. At the time Haegon was working for the Iron-Bank as envoy to Westeros, his experience and success as well as the right bribes to the right people meant his name reached the ears it needed to and soon enough he was appointed to the office.

House Longwaters was founded by a bastard of both House Velaryon and House Targaryen and in the past members have performed duties in the Red-Keep, but they have been small enough to escape the notice of any other more prominent houses. Until now.

Haegon has aspects of a trickster to him, but fundamentally believes himself to be a good man and that his actions are for the betterment of all, when it comes down to it he is in fact quite selfless. In spite of his mannerisms he is a very serious man and been boosted to a position of power he never expected to have and one which he knows how precarious is.

Haegon has a fairly stocky build with scraggly unkempt hair tinged with silver and a beard to match. His eyes, are a deep purple, are a reminder of his lineage and are noted for looking quite wild.

Haegon Longwaters is said to be possibly the worst bard in all Westeros, a fact that does not deter him from performing whenever and as often as he can. Those more astute see this as a mere facade to disarm people and hide quite a cunning mind, though it is difficult to be sure. Regardless, Haegon is known as something of an eccentric but none can question his skill with accounts.

Haegon formerly worked for the Iron-Bank and his father was from Lys giving him ample connections across the narrow-sea.

Prince Mors the Renewer of Dorne

House Martell had survived the War of the Five Kings and Daenerys Targayen's ascension to the throne with its dignity intact, with Doran Martell even earning the title of 'Master of Laws' under the new regime. From there, he safeguarded Dorne's interests well even as his daugther Arianne proved a wise and able regent in his absence. Arianne would later marry Ser Daemon Sand, her bastard-born Sworn Shield; this was allowed due to bastards not being as hated in Dorne as the rest of the Seven Kingdoms. Not merely that, but Daemon, being an able warrior and commander, would be a strong defender of the rights of his wife. Together, they would implement Daenerys' reforms for the benefit of the smallfolk in Dorne.

The son of Daemon and Arianne, Prince Doran (called 'Goldbringer' to differentiate him from his grandfather), reflected the 'New Westeros' that emerged after Daenerys' pro-smallfolk policies. A parsimonious, efficient man, Doran Goldbringer was as money-grubbing as any Lannister and sought to increase the power of the Prince compared to his nobles. To do that, however, he needed allies in Dorne itself. So he married Malina Yronwood, the daugther of House Yronwood's current head; this did not put an end to all grumbling from that lesser house, but it quieted them somewhat. Then, he began currying favor with the Crown, publicly vowing to continue Daenerys' reforms and support the Queen of Westeros as much as possible.

This worked, especially as he was sincere in his promises of support for his queen. He then increased taxes and tolls on silk, spices, and other Essosi goods that came in through Planky Town, which was much expanded. He also convinced Queen Daenerys to invest in a network of reservoirs and cisterns in the Dornish Eastern Mountains, where the Vaith and Scourge rivers, and thus the Greenblood, had their source. This network would increase the volume of water that flowed through all three rivers, water that would then be funneled into irrigation canals that would increase the amount of arable land in his demesne.

Because of this, the population of Dorne would increase in size for the first time since Aegon's Conquest, which in turn brought more revenue as the number of workers grew larger; same for the number of farms and plantations. All the while, Doran Goldbringer plagiarized Jon Snow's old plan to hire glassblowers from Myr to teach Westerosi apprentices, inviting craftsmen from Essos to settle in Westeros in exchange for payment.

These craftsmen were settled in Sunspear, but before long, an annex was specially built for them and their families; 'Artisans' Lane'. A sister to the Shadow City, 'Artisans' Lane' would later grow into a bustling community which produced far-eyes, glass bottles, lenses, and the odd window pane for the rest of Westeros. This would infuriate Myr itself in time, but not enough to cause any serious breakdown in relations.

But the greatest break for Doran Goldbringer came when the current Lord Gargalen, ruler of Salt Shore, died. He left behind only a nine-year-old daughter, Sarella of Saltshore. He now had a son with Malina, Morgan the Sea-child. Morgan was the same age as Sarella, and the Prince promptly sent an emissary, accompanied by a few dozen knights and a hundred spearmen, to 'suggest' a betrothal between the heiress and his son and that Doran II be named the legal guardian of said heiress. This suggestion was accepted, and Doran Goldbringer now won control over an important supply of salt, a valuable good. He was now rich beyond his wildest dreams, albeit hated by his nobles, and Dorne prospered with him.

Then he died, and Morgan Sea-child succeeded to the throne without any major opposition. But Morgan, unlike his relatively miserly father, was a man of high tastes and needed to finance said high tastes. So with the help of the craftsmen of Artisans' Lane, he built a navy, the first since Queen Nymeria had landed on the shores of Westeros. This navy, accompanied by a merchant fleet, would safeguard the seas from pirates and raiders, and the merchant fleet itself will trade with Essos directly instead of letting the Essosi come to Planky Town. And so, more money was made, although the fleet's business was interrupted by the Stepstones Rebellion and the need to help the Royal forces quell it.

Morgan Sea-child, however, would not be blessed with the long life of his father, and would die after just 15 years of rule (as opposed to Doran II's 40). And his son, Mors the Renewer, had ideas in his head, ideas potentially dangerous for himself and his house. He wants to jump-start an 'Age of Advancement' that would bring Westeros into the level of the Free Cities of Essos in culture and technology!

House Yronwood - Decent; Mors the Renewer married the heiress to the family, Ella.
House Gargalen - Mors's mother, Sarella, is still alive and has subsumed the house almost completely into the Martell family.
House Targayen - Mors the Renewer pledges complete and utter loyalty to Queen Daenerys in exchange for being allowed to further expand his fleet and continued investment into water reclamation and irrigation works in Dorne. He has sent gifts to Princess Serenei, and has no personal antipathy to her; nevertheless, he has not identified himself totally with her cause as of yet.

House Nymeros-Martell is conceived as a House that has gained immense power from aligning with Daenerys and is using it to jump-start a period of economic prosperity. This is seen in the building of the new Dornish Fleet. House Nymeros-Martell has also focused on its spearmen and horse archers as the backbone of a much-enlarged army, an army that is being drilled and trained in both guerrilla and conventional warfare. Note that with the typical Dornish pragmatism, House Nymeros-Martell is keeping its potential loyalties secret; Daenerys is their Queen and they are loyal to her while she is alive, enough said.

But Mors the Renewer has ambitions, ambitions to be a Kingmaker for a potential candidate to the Iron Throne, perhaps Princess Seirenei herself. Then, once he had the Iron Throne in his debt, he would begin his 'Agenda of Reason', a mysterious programme of policies that would propel Westeros into the same advancements as Essos!

Ella Yronwood is meant to be a smart and wise woman who, although not a warrior, is a good-enough logistician to command an army beside able male lieutenants. Well-learned and a patron of art and culture, she is an advocate of continuing Daenerys' pro-smallfolk policies, including increasing access to education. She even keeps around smallfolk-born clerks of both sexes to manage her affairs, a novelty for a Princess.

Mors the Younger Martell-Yronwood is the heir to the Principality of Dorne, an eighteen-year-old who was born back when Morgan Sea-child still lived. A trained knight and archer, Mors the Younger is skeptical of his father's ambitions but is thrilled not to participate in the upcoming intrigues for the Westerosi Throne yet.

Mors the Renewer is a tall and athletic man who though thin, is lean and well-muscled underneath his fine clothes. With reddish, almost brown hair and brown eyes, as well as a slightly elongated face, he can be regarded as handsome, especially with his aristocrat's nose. His legs are also deceptively thin, but again, well-muscled underneath.

- Won three consecutive tournaments in a row before becoming Prince of Dorne.
- Good at Archery, and can shoot a desert goat while riding a horse.
- A skilled swordsman.
- Established stud farms close to the Water Gardens.
- Granted favors to members of the Alchemists' guild in the Shadow City.

Ella Yronwood - He loves her.
Mors the Younger - He sees in him the hope of the House.
