Upon arriving you were told to change into a hospital gown, then taken on a gurney, past several exam tables in what looked to be an old warehouse or factory building, to a table, where you were strapped down. There a tall, muscular woman came to check your straps before a man in a lapcoat came over and began speaking with a British accent.

"Hello, my name is Ajax. Welcome to the Workshop, where we turn ordinary people who have had a turn of bad luck into superheros. If you think Superpowers are acquired painlessly, though, you are sadly mistaken." He inserted an IV into your arm and began injecting some sort of blue liquid that was hanging beside the bed. "You see, in order to get powers, I'll have to inject you with a chemical which will unlock any mutant genes that may be hidden within your DNA. Adrenaline acts as the catalyst for the change, so in order for it to work I'm going to have to hurt you." He injected a syringe full of adrenaline into the line with the blue liquid.

"You know, I used to use a lot of euphemisms, "this may sting", "the process may be a bit tough on you," that sort of thing. But I don't bother any more. You see, I was a patient here as well, just like Angel here." He motioned to the woman with his head. "It made her inhumanly strong, but gave me superior reflexes. It also scorched my nerve endings, so I no longer feel pain, or, in fact, anything at all." He motioned and two mercenaries walked over. "Go get the Gym ready. I need a work on my punches, and someone just delivered a punching bag to us."

Just before Myrtle was picked up she contacted her handler. He set up a drone to follow her to where ever the heck they were going. They was chatter about this organization but they never could find a way to get any information on it much less a person on the inside and they randomly picked Myrtle’s cover identity. Her handler didn’t know whether to not look the gift horse in the mouth or be super extremely suspicious about it. Once Myrtle was in the unmarked van the drone was following it.

Myrtle was in the back of the van with a hood on, this made her suspicious but the couldn’t back out now the whole operation would be a failure. They drove fo what felt like hours and they were doubling back in at times she could hear noises that were unique to certain parts of the city multiple times. Eventually they stopped, she could tell it was due to traffic. They took the hood off her and moved her to another vehicle. She noticed they were under under the freeway. They put the hood on her again. She knew that as soon as traffic was moving again the drone pilot would follow the original vehicles not the new one. She just lost her backup. Contact was predicated on them being set up near by with sight lines to the windows where she could give a go or no go signal. She was alone and at their mercy.

After Ajax’s speech Myrtle was really regretting volunteering for this mission. She felt stupid. She felt scared. She knew the only way out was to get through it until she could get access to some kind of communication’s device.

Angeline was immediately taken aback by the entire setup. Run-down place in the middle of trashtown, nothing to wear but a hospital gown. Of course the latter option made the woman hesitate. She looked dumbfounded at the piece of cloth with a few strings and slowly changed. So slow that one of the guards actually had to hurry her. She was not surprised that they just trashed her clothing. After all, she wore an old shirt that had some loose seams already, the jeans were ripped here and there. One of her shoes had a hole in it where a toe was poking out.

When Ajax had his monumental "bad-guy" monologue, Angeline would not stop thinking of how this was the perfect modern day comic book bad-guy lair. The moment she stepped inside was feeling like a bad comic book. When she got the adrenaline injection with that weird chemical fluid, she could hardly lie still. Her heart began to race like she was chased by some rabid dogs. Her eyes widened and she groaned in discomfort as she tried to get out of the strapping.

@Burning KittyAjax was putting on a pair of workout gloves, mostly so that he wouldn't bust his knuckles if he hit a tooth, as they rolled a young woman in. "Interesting." he said, looking her over. "Certainly has the superhero physique already." Angel smirked and Ajax motioned to her. She wrapped a belt around the bottom of the hospital gown to keep it from falling down and then unstrapped the woman and restrapped her ankles to a chain. A few pulls on the other end of the chain and the woman's head was upside down, five feet from the floor.

Ajax stretched a few times, then, with a quick sideways punch hit her in the forehead. Within a few punches he had gotten a rhythm down, always hitting somewhere on her face, even when she tried to dodge. "Oh, you're a feisty one." he said, then, continued for several more minutes, until the "patient" was too dazed to fight back. "Now, there's a good girl." he said and, as if to punctuate his sentence, let out a quick sideways punch, knocking her out.

@Dark EternityThe next woman certainly wasn't as chiseled as the first one, but they were here as test subjects, not eye candy, so that didn't matter. Besides, the customers paid for mutants, not whores, not that they didn't use them for that. Ajax had had his workout already, so he simply had them chain her hands above her head as one of the guards, who had left most of his gear outside, stepped over, then addressed the new woman. "Ricky here has issues with women. Some kind of mother issues. But you look like you can help him out with some of those issues." Ajax nodded to Ricky, and Ricky began taking out his Oedipal issues on the new woman via a series of punches reminiscent of the last Heavyweight championship.

When the two of them awoke they found themselves in a poorly lit corner of the building, the nearest patient and slightly overweight man who looked like he had gotten as much as they had, if not more. He was still unconscious, though.

After the beating Myrtle compartmentalized, she locked away the pain, her anger, anything that would get in the way. She focused on her surroundings anything that would be of help. She studied the building, it was clearly old, a warehouse, nothing distinctive. She studied the people in the room with her, they were all beat up like her beat to hell by a sadistic asshole. The guy was a disgusting fatty and was clearly one hamburger short of coronary event. The other was a cute nerdy girl, Myrtle couldn't fathom why the nerdy girl was here, she was guessing cancer or genetic defect. The fat guy was clearly facing his own mortality and was refusing to accept it. Both thinking mutant powers would be the magic cure-all.

The beating was not what the girl bargained for. It took Ricky just a handful of punches to make her scream and cry. Her face was welling up with tears, but she remained conscious for a good deal of minutes, before her head simply slumped down into her shoulders and she was out for good.

As she woke up, she had a bad headache, spitting out a tooth and tasting blood, sweat and tears in her mouth. "What in the seven hells is this place? They said some experiments and I'd be done with it", she thought out loud and got up. Her face was swollen and she felt every single bump. Each heartbeat reminded her body how messed up she was.
