Vivi looked down at the delectable dish placed before her; simple in materials, but made with an attention to detail that one could not easily overlook, the man knew his way around a kitchen: that much was certain.

"I, er..." she stammered as the aroma wafted around her and she visibly shuddered. "T-thank you, really... If you insist."
"What is it with these folks trying to get me to eat and drink? I feel bad to keep declining. I guess there's no harm, just don't get carried away, Vivi.

With her mind made up, she takes the silverware and gingerly cuts a corner of the roast off, and opens her mouth and pops the morsel inside.

Her eyes go wide as she exclaims a muffled "Mmm!", the roast itself was seasoned well, using a variety of basic herbs to compliment a red meat, and the potato was no exception to the cooking skill applied. It too was seasoned plainly, but in a manner done just to tease the most sensory experience from this most humble of vegetables.

Before long, she'd inhaled the entire plate in nearly a minute. Looking up with a bright smile of gratitude to the mysterious benefactor. "Wow! That was amazing, sir. Thank you!" She practically cheered as she nodded her head.

"I really shouldn't have overeaten... Ah well, don't make it a habit, Vivi." Slowly, Vivi found her eye-level rise ever so slightly as she found herself about two inches taller.

Conda, looking forward to finally eating after about a week without food, licks his lips lizard-like at the sight of the bloody steak.
The food smelled a little foul though, probably due to the fact that the tavern had been uninhabited for a while- but he'd had far worse, think along the lines of rotten flesh. The steak smelled lightly seasoned, just how he liked, he could even pick up the distinct scent of iron from the blood.

Conda thanks the owner then asks for a knife, fork, and napkin.

I'm ok sir food wise, I was hoping for a job and a place to stay safe from the rain and snow?" the small blue flame said smiling thankful for the offer though.

In the tavern (near the bar)

Wow! That was amazing, sir. Thank you!" She practically cheered as she nodded her head.

Her head nodding turned to peeking and craning her neck around the room, for whatever reason, she couldn’t seem to find the nice gentleman. Though she did hear Conda ask for some silverware, so maybe he was simply fetching that and would be back soon.

She turns to the little blue flame nearby and props her head up on her palms, resting her elbows on the table as she watched his wispy top flicker gently back and forth.

“For something so dangerous, you sure are mesmerizing.” She mused, smiling a little. “So you’re looking for a place to stay? Where did you come from before here?”

Im not dangerous unless I want to be, honestly if you promise you are not made of water you could hold me in your hand with out burning yourself It would be like a small heater in your hands" blue said smiling. "I came from my creators home but.... I don't want to talk about why I had to leave" blue had turned gray as he got sad.

Vivi sat attentively as Blue spoke, and smiled as he explained his nature to her. As he continued and shifted into a melancholy grey flame, she waved a hand dismissively.

“Oh I wasn’t meaning to pry, don’t feel like you have to share anything you don’t feel comfortable sharing.”

She reaches over and gently pats the little flame on the wispy tip of its head, her hand was warm, soft, and slightly moist; but not wet or harmful to him.

She turns to Conda and levels the same question at him: “Where did you come from before you found your way here?”

Blue seemed to lean into vivis hand saying "thank you". Blue started to turn back to his normal blue.

"Came from the international trading post of Gomsura's second moon. I'm looking for something... an amulet once taken from the neck of one of my lover's a few years ago. I believe the thief is one of the exulted druids of the planet Gomsura itself."

"Erph! erph!" Conda coughs into his sleeve through the pipe smoke.

"That's all I care to tell at the moment."

Conda waits no longer for the owner to bring him silverware, so he takes his plate over to one of the little tables on the floor and takes out a hunting knife to cut the steak. He eats in peace.

[Inside the tavern, near the bar]

Vivi's head pivots as she watches a disgruntled Conda help himself to a table and begin brusquely carving into his meal.

"Well then..." She turns to the little blue flame and fidgets with her bottle cap, spinning it on it's side. "He's a real talker, isn't he, Blue?" she chuckles, "Only person less talkative than him is the guy upstairs, and he's asleep."

"Yeah... Hey wanna see something cool?" blue said watching the cap spin. " spin the cap once more" blue said as it started to slow.

Vivi cocked an eyebrow and smirked, complying with the fire's request as she gave the bottlecap another vigorous spin.

"Alright, what'cha got?"

Blue grins as the cap Sparks blue suddenly he was on the cap spinning the flame top spinning and raising up in swirls.

Vivi practically squeals with delight, giving Blue a quiet round of applause.

"Very neat indeed! You have astounding balance my friend, I know I could never do that myself." She chuckles. "So that's how you get around? You just sort of appear wherever you want to be?" She leans in, inches from the flame with bright, curious eyes fixated upon it.

"It is a bit more complicated than that but simply yeah it has to be flammable and it has to be in my line of sight for example.." blue said stopping the cap looking at vivis shoulder as a blue spark lit up and blue was on vivi's shoulder. "Now I am here and it isn't burning you."

She chuckles nervously and leans her head away. "Yeah, eh huh, that's some trick..." Her shoulder hardens slightly beneath Blue, no longer a gel like substance but hard, almost gem-like in sheen. "Well, now you know I'm flammable." She chuckles wryly, and sighs. "I wonder where the owner is..."

" Don't know but don't look so worried you won't catch fire I only burn what I choose." blue said smiling warmly as he went back to the candle on the bar.

"Oh, Sorry, it's not you." she smiles, waving a hand dismissively as her shoulder softens back to normal. "I don't exactly have a strong track record when it comes to fire and fire-derivatives. I've uh, learned to respect it from a distance, shall we say. Cost me a lot."

She falls silent for no less than 2 seconds and is immediately back to her happy, bouncy self. "But hey! It's all in the past, right? No harm, no foul!" she exclaims exuberantly, giving Blue a big thumbs-up.

Suddenly a loud clash rattled from somewhere behind the closed kitchen door. A thud followed shortly after along with some more bustling commotion.

"if you're su-!" blue says as he jumped from surprise from the noises." WHAT WAS THAT!

The loud crash shocks Vivi to her feet, as she stumbles over a chair, around the side of the bar and peeked inside the door to get a closer look.

The creature was otherworldly, with limbs that defied all imagination of purpose or reason, though one thing was made immediately clear: it was dangerous. It cleaved through wooden fixtures as if they were made of tissue paper. And dancing before it; the nice gentleman, swaying and weaving between the flailing limbs like a practiced dancer.

She turns to the little flame, wide eyed and shell-shocked: "I'm not sure!"

"Uh... M-mister? What's going on? Do you want some help?" Vivi asks with a quavering voice.
