Muttonhawk Let Slip the Corgis of War

That reminds me, I forgot to put in a scene where the Scribe and the Droningbird have a petty rivalry over who can keep an eye on her better.

Guess I'll leave that to some other day.

Damn, lost opportunity there. You could have had your very own 'robots with feelings' story except more in line with a Pixar film with cute animals-

Wait, shit, that's just Wall-E.

Whatever, the droningbird will probably home back in within the next several months.

@Frettzo@Antarctic Termite I read the start of that post, and thought, 'So that's what Astarte has been doing all these years.'

Also, does Tira still have the Godkiller? If so, why didn't Astarte notice (an item which projects an aura of anti-divinity is something a god would notice at such close proximity)? If not, where is it? Or is this just a plot hole?

Not a plothole. Astarte just doesn't pay attention to anything :p Especially since she's spent like what, dozens of years pranking kids in the arctic circle? She doesn't even know there's a Godkiller. She isn't sharp just yet, give her a few posts and she'll get better again.

I thought hugging Tira would be enough for Astarte to feel the life-sucking force of an eldritch artefact tearing at her god-soul. Even the Cosmic Knights keep their distance from Tira. (Or maybe I'm over-estimating the Godkiller's potency. We haven't seen it used IC at all, even though it apparently came into play during the battle of Xerxes.)

Then again, that level of obliviousness does explain a lot...

I think I may be under-estimating the potency as well. I thought it was hidden in a way that Astarte wouldn't feel it.

It feels so good to post an unedited and barely proofread post, dudes.

Astarte's now a treehugger. PREPARE YOURSELVES FOR THE HIPPY REVOLUTION. I think it may not be too clear on what she experienced when connected to the Tree, but over time and more posts I'll try to give more context and explain it better. if not, you can ask me anythin you want.

Then a bird dropped a present on her head and she rolled her eyes.

"Coor-oo-oor-oo," said Jonglebongle, leaving a feather and a gift on the Sweetheart's head.

I was always under the impression that it doesn't even take a hug. Just being in the proximity of the GodKiller would begin to have an effect. The closer a divine is, the more potent the effect. Not sure what the greatest possible range of the GodKiller is, but a hug doesn't leave much to the imagination...

@Kho@BBeast

I think the answer to both of these thoughts are, 'we weren't thinking too hard about it at the time' and 'something something negative intent something something Tira's will'.

On the plus side, it lulls y'all into a false sense of security so I can do something really terrifying when the Godkiller DOES come out.

Gadar-Yara-Vowzra is now in the 'present', so they can potentially meet. Obviously, her being the GodKiller would make things very awks. There's also the unexplored connection between Vowzra and Tira - he DID kinda send her the most dangerous object in the universe... did he do it on purpose? Does he even know who she is? Only Tira coming along and inadvertently killing him (again) will yield the answers!

(I'm still on page 17. Who is Tira. Shetshetshetshet).

So, I just got through the workshop updating post [this one: roleplayerguild.com/posts/3918837]
It was a tremendous post, but I am convinced that it was also partially an attempt to trigger my elf allergy >.>

Edit: And now that I've read the post after that, I know who Tira is! Thank the gods, the GodKiller saved her from a horrific fate eating dung and stuff. All praise Vowzra!
And yeah, Tauga is the best. She will make Xerxes great again. After she's done kicking all the dogs. Hail Tauga.

Oh, you haven't seen anything yet. Just wait until you find the alchemy discovery post 5 pages later. Then, 3 pages after that, there is the Prometheans creation post (plus every Prometheans post after that).

In other news, bloody hell Tauga. Is it just me or does she have the faintest hint of 'SHE'S A FASCIST! SHE'S A FASCIST!'?

Edit:

A quick search reveals that Marcelo does not feature as any more than a passing mention in future posts to date. This does not preclude the possibility of him appearing in some future post.

There hasn't been much room yet, as I am heavily delayed on all fronts of my post plans and I also scrapped a handful of ideas involving his person. However, in my posts concerning the history of Mesathalassa on the first century after the Realta attack, he will show up here and there.
