For some unkown reason, Ikari got pissed all of a sudden. Maybe it had to do something with how Misaki laughed her ass off just a moment by practically nothing. He didn't know what was happening through the head of this girl, and he didn't want to know. Misaki was the very definition of random, and the things she's capable of doing can drive mad even a buddhist monk. A thought struck him down, and a grin so mischievous that practically begged for someone to punch him adorned his face. This girl bothered him long enough. Time for vengeance...

"You know...now that I think about it, it's not neccesary that you select something for me..." He said in a fake serious tone, his features relaxing in a way that made him look like a total different person. Ikari pushed the menu aside, and rested his hand atop the girl's, locking his eyes with hers. "...Because there's something even sweeter before me right now, and I can't wait to. Eat. It." He trailed off in the last words while giving her the best warm smile he could pull off, making sure that the message was fully drilled in her head. If she was the girl he thought she was, something like this would make her head explode. Figuratively, though he didn't mind if she really exploded. 'Since you entered my classroom I had to put up with you and your crap, let's see how you handle this. Hehehe...' As he finished his last line, he interlaced his fingers with the ones of Misaki's hand, slowly caresing them.

"And don't worry, I will pay everything. What I want to eat is worth every cent and more" The blond added, trying to come with more and more pick-up lines that he learned while playing a variety of games. He was making a fool out of himself, better be worth it...

Thoughts ran through Misaki’s mind at a hundred miles an hour, her mouth failing her as it dropped open in shock when Ikari placed his hand over hers. His suggestive tone made her skin even hotter than before, visibly turning red from the neck and spreading to her entire face. She was utterly dumbfounded, stuttering unintelligible words. Is he teasing her right now? Whatever it was, it was making her normal body functions go out of control. She underestimated him and this situation, clearly not expecting to turn out this way.

His following words barely managed to process in her, but she heard something about money. “M-mo-money? I er- I n-no,” she needed to get a hold of herself! She was supposed to deny any suspicion that she was selling herself! Extremely flustered, she tried to clumsily unclasp their fingers. Misaki must look like a complete dork right now, she hasn’t even had a first kiss yet! How did this escalate so quickly?!

The compliments seemed to work fair well. She tried to pull out her hand, but he didn't let her. Ikari had to restrain himself to not laugh his ass off right there and then. Her face was super red, and her hand was hot. 'You're not so strong now, eh?' This was actually working! But now, it was time for the finishing touch. He hoped she didn't hit him.

The blond used his thumb to draw circles in the girl's palm, trying to embarass her even more. He was sure that a lot of people in the cafe were giving them "the look". Ikari was getting nervous on his own right, but he tried to maintain the composture. With his other hand, he grabbed a piece of the girl's air, running some fingers on it. It was surprisingly smooth. "You know, I'm actually a sweet addict. But what I'm seeing right now is driving me into obsession" The blond complimented her again while pulling off another warm smile. If he was honest, his face was really hurting right now. Ikari was accustomed to scowls, not smiles!

'Time to wrap this up...' When he finally thought that the poor girl had enough torture, Ikari simply pulled away from her, looking at her with a calm face. "Nah, it's a joke. I just want the cake and the waffles you offered." He simply said while looking at his nails, acting like he didn't said all of those things. The blond was cackling madly in his mind, but if he acted calm, maybe a punch wouldn't be an outcome...?

Misaki's palms were starting to sweat and visibly stiffened when Ikari's fingers ran through her hair. She wanted to pry her hand off his and push him away. She needed to say 'no' quick and firmly. His face was too close and his smile just made him appear more attractive than his usual stoic face. She was on overdrive, she shut her eyes tightly in an attempt to imagine she was somewhere else. Just when she was about to decline whatever Ikari was trying to do, his warm hand left hers and said that it was all just a joke. She blinked her eyes open, "Eh?" A few seconds passed as her brain tried to rewire itself and process that the boy just made a fool out of her.

Her cheeks puffed in anger and her brows furrowed. Misaki took the flimsy menu and threw it at him, though since it was just a piece of paper, it just fluttered towards him before falling to the floor. She stood up, "I can't believe you! What were you trying to do? I-i argh!" She shouted, she was flustered and frustrated and everything that she's never felt before. How could this boy get such a weird reaction out of her so easily? She probably looked like a fluffy rabbit that's angry and doesn't really pose a threat to him, especially with her rather short height.

The waitress soon came to their table, picking up the menu off the floor. "Excuse me, I'm going to have to ask you to leave if you continue disturbing our guests." She said with a smile but her eyes glared at Misaki. She shivered from the waitress cold stare and immediately bowed, "I'm so sorry. We'll be ordering now." She told her, before bowing to the other customers from her seat. She sat down and squinted her eyes at Ikari, warning him to not try anything funny, her cheeks still a little rosy from a moment ago.

Ikari couldn't help but to grin at the little interaction between the waitress and Misaki. She seemed scared like a little puppy, which only made it even funnier. Serves her right. With all the problems he had on the first day of school, a little joke as a stress reliever was a very good thing for the blond. 'Though I think I went a little too far with...her face is basically pink right now' He thought while pitying Misaki for the thing he just pulled. Maybe something to appease her would do. "Sorry for that. Tell you what, when we get out of here I'll buy you anything you want. A drink, or an icecream, or whatever." Ikari offered while looking away a little.

"So, I have to ask you something..." He said while his eyes landed on Misaki again. "Why I was the first student you talked with? You know, it was pretty obvious I wasn't the most sociable, and there were a lot of students you could interact with a lot better than me" Ikari stated, remembering how he was the very first person Misaki tried to connect instead of other more amicable teenagers. "Have we met before?" The blond lied, trying to get the answers he wanted without revealing that he was the real Ikari.

Misaki finished her order for the both of them and handed her the menus before apologising for disrupting the cafe again. She smiled at Ikari, replying to his question, "No, I don't think we have. But I talked to you because I wanted to know if you knew any other Ikari Shitsurei in school, or in town. Since you have the same name and all..." She laughed at herself, realising how silly it sounded now. "Instead of buying me something, why don't you help me look for him? He's my childhood friend and I came back looking for him. I really want to reconnect with him! It's been too long, I wonder how he is." She started chatting on again, more to herself than to him now. "If it helps, I call him Ri-chan and he calls me Mi-chan. Weren't we adorable?" She giggled, "Do you think he'll remember me? I hope he won't hate me or anything because I moved away when we were younger." She pouted a little, her eyes a little sad to think that he would actually resent her.

The waitress soon came back with a tray full of their orders, placing down a plate of fresh chocolate cake with neatly sliced strawberries, waffles with cream and berries, and a chocolate parfait with coloured creams that were supposedly the colours of a unicorn. To others, they would probably turn away in fear of getting diabetes, but Misaki's eyes lit up and her stomach growled on queue. She took two spoons from the bucket of cutlery on the side of their table and handed one to Ikari with a warm smile.

"Sure, adorable..." Ikari replied half-heartedly as he grabbed one of the spoons. There was an incredible amount of sweets that he liked to try. His favorite was the cake, so he instead started eating the waffles. Better leave the best sweet for the end. Moving on other matters, it appeared that Misaki still didn't know the truth. That was...just fine. The problem is that she wanted him to help her to "find" Ikari. He would refuse, but that would only make him even more suspicious, so the only option left would be...

"Okay, I will help you find that 'Ri-chan' " He agreed to help his chilhood friend while taking a bite from the waffle. He knew she was going to find out sooner or later, but Ikari doesn't want to get all gloomy for it. He's a new person, he changed. The blond still held some anger against Misaki for the fact that she left, but he wasn't going to be like that forever. Sometimes one just needs to enjoy the now, and that's what he was going to do. "Tough I feel sorry for him, to have such a dumb girl as a chilhood friend." He teased with a smirk, taking a large bite of the waffle again. "I'm sure he'll remember you the instant you both meet again." He assured with a warm smile. A real one. Even when the circumstances are like they are, Ikari isn't a traitor, or someone who wishes the worst for other people. He's just a lovable, violent idiot. 'Yeah...this is just a little game. A game we both will laugh about in the future...' If he thought that they were just strangers that were starting to be friends, then maybe...maybe that will be something better than to just ignore her.

Misaki devoured her parfait in mere minutes, getting a little brain-freeze along the way. A little cream at the side of her mouth, eyeing Ikari's untouched chocolate cake with greed. But her eyes flicked back up to him, mocking hurt when he called her dumb. "Hey, he used to hide behind me while I chased the bullies away. He should be grateful." She stuck her tongue out playfully, before thanking him for his next sentence. It feels like Misaki will get along with this Ikari... despite all the teasing, but she feels like he somehow genuinely cares for her. Even though they just met. Now it was her turn to ask a question, feeling a little slow as she should have asked this question long ago.

"So..." She started, "Why did you come to save me? Was it because I gave you the candy?" She asked, trying to solve the missing puzzle. "Do you know me?" She turned the question around, curious as to why he would get hurt to save her.

The blond looked at her with a blank expression. "What? Do I have to know you just to save you? Ikari questioned her, finally eating the cake. "I did what I thought it was right. Besides, I don't like Kabuki...err, you know, the asshole who hit you" He continued . "And let's say that the candy was delicious, too. It was a nice extra" The blond added with a grin while devouring the cake at an alarming speed. His stomach demanded more of it. The strawberries added a certain acid flavor, which made the cake taste even better. It's a miracle that he didn't get fat that easily. The amount of sweets he could eat was a bit unnerving. His mom had always said that one day that would make him develop diabetes, but his body always took it fine.

He looked at her again after pushing the thought of sweets. "In short, I don't know you, but I didn't want to leave you there. As simple as that" Ikari stated, hopefully fooling Misaki into thinking that he was indeed telling the truth. He didn't want to talk about this anymore, so he rapidly formed another question. The blue eyed teenager silently ate the cake, until another topic made its way onto his mind. "Wanna exchange cell numbers? That way it will be easier to know if you're being abducted again" The blond teased Misaki again while pulling out a black smarthphone that was a little outdated, given the date.

Misaki silently suffered as she watched the whole piece of cake get eaten by Ikari. Pondering over his answer for a while. “Hmm.. I guess you don’t have to.” She concluded, then a toothy grin graced her face, “Then I made the right choice in talking to you.” She tried to wink, not sure if it looked like something got into her eye and it was awkwardly twitching. She poured her and the blonde a glass of water, bringing one to her lips. She nearly choked when he asked to exchange phone numbers but tried to play it off when she heard it was to prevent another kidnapping.

Coughing a little before gulping more water to soothe her itching throat. “Hopefully I won’t be calling you because of that.” She laughed at herself, though she really hoped that it would be the first and last that she would get abducted in her life. It was far too scary. Misaki fished her mobile out of her bag and unlocked it, revealing a picture on her home screen of a young Misaki with a wide toothy grin holding out a peace sign with a hand while the other was holding unto a boy her age. He looked a little shy but had a small smile on his face and his eyes were on the young girl instead of looking at the camera.

She flipped the phone round so it faced Ikari, and held it out for him to enter his phone number. She glanced at the black smartphone in Ikari’s hand, noticing that it was an older version of her phone. She didn’t want to ask a question that may be offending, but she was rather curious. She decided to keep quiet, maybe shutting up about it would be wiser. Instead, she proposed their next destination, to start their quest to find Ri-Chan. “I’m planning to visit Ri-Chan at his home. Do you want to come? I hope he hasn’t moved after all these years. But it’s a good pace to start.”

Ikari almost flinched at the sight of the home screen of Misaki's phone. It was just a moment, since it changed where he could enter his phone number, but he saw it all the same. A picture of him as a kid along with Misaki. He pushed that weird feeling almost inmediately, and entered his phone number. When the blond finished, his free hand grabbed the glass of water and gulped it down like he hadn't drink water in days. Eating sweets does make you thirsty. A moment later, he held out his black smartphone to her so she could do the same. Ikari didn't want her to see anything more, so it already was on the "add contact" thing.

"If it is okay with you, I don't mind going. It's a dangerous area, though. With the years more shady people started going there, so you going alone isn't very intelligent" He informed the girl while waiting for her to type her number. When Ikari was 12 he had already moved from there, and another person may be living there. The blue eyed teenager was a little scared of going, actually, since there were a lot of people who could bring problems to them. He could take care of himself, but with his chilhood friend who didn't know how to fight, it was a little risky to go. "But almost everything you do isn't very intelligent, so it's obvious" He teased yet again, clearly enjoying her suffering.

As he waited for her to do what she had to do, a certain memory came to Ikari's mind, making him freak out a little. "Ah, just a piece of advice, now that I remember. Since you're not suspended like me, you're going to school tomorrow, right? Well, while you are there, try to avoid the student council president. You'll recognize that bitch. She has weird white hair, and a red armband" Ikari said with a serious face, his voice going from normal to exasperated and almost fearful in a moment. "Since the teachers got to us first, we didn't have to meet her, but do what I say. Just avoid her. She doesn't like me at all, and the moment she knows you're involved with me, you're royally fucked. There was this one time when she kicked my ass when I called her 'hag', and I'm pretty sure you're not that strong" Ikari continued while gulping down the water again, this time a little bit more forceful, sweat running down his cheek. "Just...don't talk with her. She isn't worth it" He finished, locking his eyes with Misaki's.

Misaki typed in her name and phone number into the details, hitting save and handed it back to Ikari before checking if the phone successfully saved it. She grabbed her phone back to see her new contact in her address list, another Ikari Shitsurei above the new addition, the only difference with 'Ri-chan' at the side of the old contact. His number had been his old house landline. She spent hours debating with herself if she should call the number yesterday, afraid that he would hate her for contacting him now after so many years. Shaking the rather depressing thought from her mind, she locked her phone and placed it back into her bag, listening to Ikari.

"Alright," She started, "Thanks for letting me know. But I don't like to judge others before I had a chance to talk to them. That's how we are here together now, right?" She giggled, probably annoying the blonde for not heeding his warning. She will be wary of what she says if she ever meets the student council, but she won't purposely avoid her just because she hurt Ikari once. Though she sounds pretty intimidating.

Misaki grabbed her bag as she stood up, planning to head to the cashier by the front to pay. Then, something Ikari said before clicked. "Wait, how would you know that Ri-chan stays in a dangerous area? Did I tell you his address?" She was sure she didn't, she raised a brow, making a confused expression.

The blond started looking nervous, cursing himself for being a total idiot and hurrying to tell her that the place was dangerous. Of course, he wasn't supposed to be the real Ikari, so he wouldn't normally know if there was risk in going or not. "I'm...eh...it was intuition. There was this one time when I went there, and word of another Shitsurei reached me. So...It was just kind of coincidence" He used a very lame excuse, sweating a bit. Ikari was caught off guard with a very stupid move of his own. He shouldn't relax with Misaki around, or else...

"R-Regardless of that, you'll have to trust me on the student council thing" He changed the topic abruptly, trying to not get more unneccesary attention from other matters. "That woman is a total demon. I don't know what the hell is happening through her head, and her methods of solving problems aren't very fucking nice" He stated in a rude manner, clearly not liking that Misaki had pushed his advice aside so easily. "Just believe me. I won't be tomorrow, and I don't want to see you hurt...eh..." Ikari trailed off in the last words as he himself processed what he said. As he finished with that, a slight blush made its way onto his face while looking at other way, playing with his hand a little. "Y-You know what, whatever. Just...let's get out of here" The blond simply finished like that, not willing to embarass himself any further with more insecure words.

Misaki tilted her head to the left a little, skeptical about his answer about knowing where Ikari lives. She decided to believe him, it was the least she could do after being saved and warned. "It's a small world, huh!" She smiled, turning her attention to the cashier and taking yen out of her wallet. After placing the bills into the tray, she felt the pinch of her allowance. Guess she had to save up for a while before she could come here for sweets. Misaki led them out of the cafe, pushing the glass door exposing themselves to the hot humid air. It was around evening time now, the sky was still pretty bright with barely a cloud in the sky.

She giggled, a hand raised to cover her own blushing cheeks. "You're really nice, Ikari. Like really. Come to think of it, I never got to thank you for saving me yet have I?" She paced herself so she was in front of him before turning round to face him. Her skirt fluttering a little as she did so. Misaki bowed, her hands that held her bag in front of her. "Thank you so much," a warm smile as she looked up, "for saving me, and warning me about the council president."

Turning the corner to head to Ikari's old place, she brought up the topic again. "So... if she's so mean, how did she become the president?" The street Ri-chan and her used to live on was eerily quiet now. It seems like a lot has changed since she moved. Instinctively, she moved a little closer to Ikari and visibly gulped. She didn't notice how close she was to him till her hand brushed against his arm. Misaki quickly stepped away, muttering a sorry as her cheeks turned a little pink.

Misaki's response to his lame excuse made him sigh in relief. Explanations weren't one of his strengths. He got up alongside Misaki, an paid his part of the sweets. Ikari wasn't one to be indebted, in the sense that he didn't like making people wait to receive what is rightfully theirs. Besides, it was a nice day after all. Being with his chilhood friend did make him a little happy. She's the only one who can mantain a half-serious, half-joking conversation without shying away from him. The blond teenager didn't want to admit it, but he really enyojed her presence. It made him feel safer, in some way.

They spent a lot of time in the cafe, and didn't take in account how many time had passed. 'Mum is going to kill me...' He deadpanned on his mind, shivering a little at the prospect of his punishment. He may be a fight-seeking idiot, but Ikari's mother is on a whole new level. He usually texts her where he is and when he's going to return. That didn't happen today... So maybe he will face her wrath when he gets home.

His train of thought was interrupted when Misaki suddenly thanked him for saving her and warning her about the student council president, everything with a heart-warming smile. He couldn't help but to give her a smile of his own. Nobody had thanked him about anything since a long time, and Ikari always wanted to put others before himself. That was before. But this girl managed to make his usual habits go haywire, and while it did destroy his almost-semingly peaceful life, it was nice that your good deeds were recognized by others. "It's nothing. I always wanted a friend that I could talk with, and it seems that it only took a injured hand and a suspension to achieve it" He laughed a little, finding amusing the chain of events that led to the duo being here in just 1 day.

After that, they started walking to his old home. To Ri-chan's home, more specifically. It had the same cold air of always. Ikari didn't like it at all. Hopefully they wouldn't encounter any undesirable people that the blond would beat to pulp anytime soon. He was tired, and problems was the last thing he wanted. Misaki asked him why the She-Demon became the student council president in the first place while getting a little too close to him, before stepping away and apologizing. She was probably scared. "Haha, don't worry. This place can scare anyone if you're alone" He brushed off the girl's apologies, not caring about sudden closeness. "So you want to know how that bitch is in a position of power in the first place? Well...it's a long story" The blond sighed, clearing his throat.

"You see, she wasn't always like that. Her name is Yuzuki Rokurou, and she was in the same class as me. She was incredibly nice and caring, but at the same time respectful and professional in the eyes of the students. Or that was, until she met me. Word of me being the very definition of violence reached her, and as the student council president, she couldn't let something like that pass. Rokurou did literally everything in her power to make me change my ways, from making me to join the student council and do forced jobs from them, have extra 'classes' where she would try fix my problems by talking, and a lots of other things. One day she... we talked, and she said some things that I couldn't really believe. As I'm an asshole the great majority of the time, that conversation didn't end well, and... we didn't directly talk anymore. She still tries to make my life as bothersome as possible until I become a proper student, but since that meeting, she's getting even worse. Troublesome students are also being punished really harshly, but I won't trade my happiness just for an annoying bitch that can't understand that not everything is hers to control..." Ikari continued, annoyance and something akin to hurt painting his features. "...And that's that. Don't talk to her. I don't want you of all people to be punished for nothing" The blue eyed teenager said while resting his injured hand on the girl's shoulder, a pleading expression on his face.

The more they walked along, the more the street looked abandoned. She recognised her old house in an instant, the building looked a little run down and the gate was rusty. Actually, most of the houses on this street looked to be in the same state. Misaki pointed to the house opposite her old one. There was no lights on from the windows and the front yard looked unmanaged, with litter sprawling out into the road and the gate was open. "Maybe we should ask a neighbour..." She thought out loud, surely no one was living here now. And if anyone or anything was, she would be too afraid to ring the bell.

Misaki couldn't really believe that a student council president would go to such lengths for one student, and to think she's able to abuse her powers to reach that goal. It sounded really intense to her, on the other hand it was pretty admirable to have a student care so much about the student body. Except that attention should not be focussed on just one person. She didn't really know what to think of her just yet as she didn't like to judge others. "That is kinda... weird." She stated, not really knowing any other way to describe or try to reason her actions. "I'm sorry you had to go through that. But I'm here now! If it comes down to it, I'll help to get you out, I promise." She fist pumped the air, determined to go through whatever to get Ikari out of the president's grasp. "I'll stay out of her way until otherwise." Misaki added, thrusting her last finger out towards him to perform a 'pinky promise'.

Ikari looked at the pinky finger of his childhood friend, before chuckling slightly at the gesture. "You really are something else..." He muttered more to himself than her. "It's a promise, then. If you ever have problems with her, tell me first thing" The blond said while interlacing his pinky finger with hers. After that, he looked were they were, narrowing his eyes at the image of the old place. Ikari didn't like it at all, and it was starting to bring some bad memories about his hard-lived childhood.

Misaki proposed that they should ask a neighbour where Ri-chan house's was. Ikari himself was getting a little annoyed about the atmosphere around them, and wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. "What neighbour, though? This nasty-ass place is even creepier than the last time I came here" The boy expressed his thoughts about the place aloud. "Are you sure there are any people in here that we could ask? He said, eyeing the houses a little. The place had changed a lot since the last time, and he barely recognized Misaki's house, meaning that he was as lost as her. He wasn't one to came with very bright ideas, and the only reason he came along was to protect the girl above anything else. Besides, the blond wasn't as proposed to find his old house as his friend, and he was focusing more on her than other thing.

Misaki fell silent, thinking that Ikari was probably right. She let out an awkward laugh, a hand rubbing the back of her neck in embarrassment. "Guess I didn't think this through. Sorry." She stuck her tongue out. Just then, a plastic bottle of green tea dropped and rolled to her feet.

"Oi, what are you kids doing on our turf?" An unknown voice came from behind her. Misaki turned around to find the face to the voice and saw an older male wearing a black tank, a large tattoo on his left shoulder. She knew he was trouble and didn't want any of that. She grabbed Ikari's uninjured hand, "Let's go," She said in a hushed tone. Without waiting for a reply, she started running with him in tow.

"Oi! Someone's talking to ya!" She heard the guy speak, only making her run faster. Luckily, the street soon met with another and she quickly turned right and slid into a dark narrow alleyway right after, squeezing her and Ikari together. She panted, looking in the direction of where they entered to see the guy running past alley. Misaki sighed in relief and slowly caught her breath.

Ikari didn't protest when Misaki started dragging him across the streets and into a alleyway. The blond saw his childhood friend panting and sweating in nervousness, which made him glare at the man as he ran past them. "Is a good thing that the bastard couldn't catch up with us. I was this close to pummeling him to the ground..." He stated while closing up his index finger with the thumb to make a point. After that, the blond rapidly realized how close they actually were, so much that he could feel her...her...

"O-Oi, you're too close...!" He said while shifting himself a little, trying not to feel something soft along the way. A blush fell down on his face as he miserably failed to not make any more physical contact with Misaki. 'Why girls are so damn developed these days...' Ikari deadpanned on his mind as closed his eyes shut, telling himself that he wasn't feeling incredibly good right now. He never had lecherous thoughts about anyone, and this was his childhood friend for Christ's sake! He didn't want to think about her that way, it wasn't supposed to be like that!

The teen managed to exit the alley after a bit of struggle, falling down on all fours for being so stretched. He looked behind, the blush still on his face. "E-Eh...S-sorry 'bout that. Are you okay?" He sputtered words in a very insecure way, trying to not to face Misaki directly.

"Eep!" Misaki squealed when Ikari mentioned their proximity. She too tried to wriggle her way to create a distance, but failed to and somehow managed to squeeze herself closer towards him. Her face was bright red again but found relief when the blonde managed to get himself out. She could feel her ears burn hot, a hand on her above her chest. "N-nothin' happened!" She declared out loud, convincing herself mostly, since she was the one who brought them there. She had no intention to have her........ assets up against him at all! She shuffled herself out of the alley, "I.. I guess we should go home for today!" She said robotically in a loud voice, still not daring to face Ikari.

Her movements were stiff as she walked forward, "I'll see you tomorrow!" She said as she started to run off, but came back when she realise she won't see him tomorrow at school. "Erm.. Maybe after class? If that's ok?" She asked him, though she was sure he would say no after today.
