Name: Minerva Raisel Enright
Alias:Delta
Age:24
Gender:Female
Powers:Sound Manipulation: Ironically, despite being mute, Delta’s primary ability is to create and manipulate sounds and sound waves. Bursts of loud noise is simple, and doing anything complex or delicate requires a certain amount of focus. If she pushes too hard in a short time, she develops a strong migraine. Is unable to speak herself with this ability.
Appearance:Minerva, when going about her day to day life, would be difficult to compare to the persona of the enigmatic vigilante she dons when facing crime. She’s light skinned, with fair features and a slim- if not muscled- build. Her dark hair is cropped boyishly short, although she tends to wear a large amount of skirts and cute shirts, largely in pastel shades- pink and white being her favorites. The only thing particularly off-putting about her is her blood red eyes, which even then are hidden behind blue contacts. Together, her eyes almost look purplish.
The outfit she wears as Delta is far more ominous in design. She wears a blank white mask, lips and other features added on with black paint. The eyes she disguises as Delta are allowed to shine through the holes in her mask, and what hair she has is tucked neatly beneath the hood of an old, worn bomber jacket. She wears dark pants and camping boots, and the front of her jacket is a large patch of the greek sign of delta.
History:Minerva “Minnie” Enright’s story begins with that of her guardian, Harley Enright- or, in times long past, the vigilante Epsilon. While Epsilon appeared to fight for the side of good, dragging in murderers and stepping in the way of robberies, her career was bathed in blood and built up of infamy. The criminals Epsilon fought were often beaten to the point of death, if not well past it. She mingled with villains and lowlife almost as often as she fought them, and her reputation for pursuing more amorous affairs with the enemy was a bit of an open secret. However, her most well-known relationship was with Doppler. A man of power and taste, he held the power of frequency manipulation. He tore walls as easily as paper, turned brains to mush. For whatever reason, he and Epsilon found themselves in a relationship based upon hatred and mutual attraction.
This all came to a head when Doppler was killed in one of his grand schemes, and, not long after, Epsilon unexpectedly announced her retirement before vanishing off the map. With the death of the vigilante came the birth of humble tea-shop owner Harley, and of the small dark haired child that clung to her side. Whether Minerva was Doppler’s child with another that Epsilon took in out of respect, or if she truly was the result of a vicious love affair, is something that only Harley knows.
No matter the details of her birth, Minerva was born with superpowers, and was a relatively healthy child- if not for the fact that she was mute due to a birth defect. She was raised up by the ex-vigilante, and eventually got into the whole hero business herself, carving out a path dubious in its own right. Delta’s favored alias provides her a link to the bloody Epsilon, just as her similar powers connect her to the villain Doppler.
Given how Delta’s violent streak is nearly a mile wide, it isn’t too surprising that some suspect her of leaning towards the darker shades of the powered society. Her affiliations with the New Generation have quelled some of these doubts, although some remain.
Equipment: Crowbar, bomber jacket, toothpicks (to chew).
Other: In case it was missed, Delta is a mute.
