Upon entering the room he quickly scanned the room. He was surprised at the man who looked about the same age as him sitting in front of everyone. ... He scanned the room around and saw some knight and a kid.

Looks like Arwyn's stealth training's really paying off.

Been wondering for a bit. How/when is MP replenished, and would using magic sporadically out of battle counts as draining it?

@Pseudo Stygian MP will replinish roughly the same 10 points each post. The only time it will drain is in combat. Outside of combat it instantly regenerates unless your in an area with low MP recovery.

So out of combat but still exploring a potentially dangerous area, the characters wouldn't recover MP sinced they'd be too 'on guard' to relax and recover?

My thoughts exactly. Or you may come across an area that has been completely drained of Mana by some sort of magic. Those types of places are hard to recover in too.

@Champion I'd expect those places would also have an eerie, empty atmosphere which would also have the characters uncomfortably on edge?

So anti-magic zones?

Yup. These areas would mostly be deprived of life. No trees no grass, no birds. Eerie and filled with death.

So anti-magic zones?

Not necessarily. One would still be able to cast magic spells however it would take a longer charge time and it will be slightly weakened. But fear not. If magic caused the anti-magic zone then magic can fix it.

magically caused anti-magic being fixed with more magic is wonderfully recursive.

Maybe if we find a magic hammer we can just hit it until it starts working again?

That, or call mystic support. Are there any payphones in the dungeon, or will we need mobile phones to make calls?

Everything has an opposite. If fire has water then Magic in its base form of Mana would have Anti Magic as its opposite. But unlike fire and water; these 2 "elements" are week to each other. Anti Magic = Magic. Fire<water<lightning<earth etc.

MKaybe if we find a magic hammer we can just hit it until it starts working again?

It wouldnt be that simple or easy. It may take all your mana for years or even a life or 2. Anti Magic is no joke just like Magic is a force to be reckoned with. Just image what someone could do with a spell book full of anti magic skills in a world ran by magic...

Maybe if we found a magic hammer which had been used for decades to crack open the skulls of innocent victims and suck out their souls we can just hit it until it starts working again?

Sure. But if the consequence is the death of your character, would you do it?

I wouldn't be the one actually swinging the hammer, after all Arwyn's an Archress not a melee fighter. That also means she'd be far enough away, with an advantageous vantage point to watch the fireworks.
Note to self: Pack popcorn.

Well it depends if they're dead or mostly dead doesn't it?

Also don't wait on me to post, I want to react to what happens next following the GM post.

I'm waiting on the GM post too, just so Arwyn can punish Christmas-Tree-Boy for rudely interrupting her conversation.
