Letting loose a feral howl as it watches its packmate fall to the combined fury of the rescue party, it turns towards the nearest enemy- Tortetart. Even without pack tactics, the beast proves to me more than a match for the cleric and with a single savage bite in a tender spot unprotected by his shell, leaves him bloody and dying. Even as the beast turns to get a look at the rest of the prey an arrow strikes it in the side leaving it wounded, yet still standing.

Seeing Tortetart go down, Anchor presses forward, closing the gap between him and the melee. Falling down to one knee, mostly out of exhaustion from his mad dash, he puts himself as between the beast and Tortetart as he can.

Looking behind him, he places a hand on Tortetart's shell.

"Not today, my friend. Mishakal did not send you to Nightstone to become dog food!" Anchor says, as a warm glow passes from his hand and into Tortetart.

Turning back to the dog, "As for you, why don't you try me for your next meal!", Anchor shouts.

Galen moved toward the worg still remaining, with his usual cocky smirk. Hearing Anchor's words, the half-drow decided to try and scare the worg away. He attempted his best scowl, and shouted at the worg, "Git, ya filthy mutt, 'fore I make a nice warm coat outta ya."

Tortetarte realizes hes staring at the dirt. He's never fallen asleep face down before, well, never on accident. And what's with all that yelling? Oh, Right. Glancing to his side, Tortetarte touches There In, and speaks "Mishakal, spare this man" .

Tortetarte then stands up and is ready to fight.

Ealwald is thinking frantically while trying to gauge the battlefield. Seeing how successful his first magic missile attack was, Ealwald finds it foolish to try a something else at the moment considering the reliability of the spell...and the shear terror in his brain that might cause him to miss a more complex attack.

Round Summary:
Lying on the ground, Theren is bleeding his own blood all over the place.

Meanwhile, the worg has moved on to on to assail Tortetart, showing that turtle power is no match for wolf majesty even as MArcon introduces his new lupine friend to Mr. Arrow. Fortunately, With the whole group assembled in one place, Anchor is there to call upon divine power and heal brave Tortetart. As he does so, Galen attempts to use the mess where a normal person might have had a face along with some harsh words to scare the creature, but ends up coming across almost comically over-the-top. I suppose we will all see if this had any influence soon. Waking up from his very brief nap, Tortetart wastes no time in restoring life to the dying Theren.

Ealwald decides this shit is 2spoopy and blows a few holes through the worg with his mind bullets, leaving the beast in less than pristine condition.

@Diablodil Theren is awake and lying face down on the ground next to Tortetart and the wounded worg.

And once again, Theren wakes up face down in the plaza. "If my masters were to see me like this, I know they would be alternating between laughing and yelling at all of the mistakes I have made. Forgot one of the first lessons of combat, let the more experienced warriors lead, and if there aren't any, let the one with the best armor lead."

Theren quickly gets up and asses the situation. He sees that the worg that he had managed to attack last time is down and appears to be dead, while the other one is now wounded. He moves so that he is behind the worg, in order to give himself an advantage to attack the creature from behind with another sword swing and fist combo.

Surrounded on multiple sides, wounded several times over and having lost its packmate, things are not looking hopeful for the poor worg. Looking quickly back and forth between the two people surrounding it, the worg bears fangs and gives the best menacing growl it can muster given the circumstance. After a tense moment of hesitation, it abruptly darts out from between the two adventurers heading Northeast and disappearing around the edge of the building on the Northernmost edge of the town square.

Marcon watches the dog flee. Running down a wounded animal entices him not at all, so he moves toward the corpse of the downed creature to retrieve his arrows, for as Gamba the Archer quipped, "The largest, keenest, surest bow / needs ammunition, even so."

Pojo like this town very much. Is good town. Good chicken to chase. Tot is stupid. Tot copy Pojo, also chase chicken. Tot should leave Pojo alone, Pojo saw chicken first. Wait, why bell stop ringing? Beedo and Vark bored so soon? Maybe tired, maybe making big friend dog angry. Make big friend dog howl. Wait, why Tot not chasing chicken? Why Tot staring at middle of goblin town?

"Eep!" Pojo declared, upon seeing strange big folk stomping around goblin town, killing goblin dog friend, probably stealing all goblins things. Now is time to be brave, time to show big folk that goblin town is not big folk town. Tot copy Pojo again with bow, but it okay. We both fire arrow at turtle-shaped big folk. Pojo hits shell but no blood. Tot copy Pojo. Jerk.

Why is racket not racket anymore? Why do dog friends make so much noise now that noise is gone? Why-

INVADERS!

From where Jilk stood in a nearby building, filling sack with new belongings, Jilk could see invaders who had clearly come to steal all his stuff. Stepping up to broken window, he fire arrow at tall man with bow. Good shot, make him bleed. Next shot he dead for good. Time to hide!

Anchor watches as the second dog fled. He closes his eyes for a moment and tries to catch his breath, but is snapped back to awareness by the sound of two arrows breaking off of Tortetarts shell. Looking in the direction they would have came from, he sees the two goblins just as he hears Marcon react to a third arrow, this time from the south.

"My friend, you and the elf need to get back to the wagons," He says to Tortetart. "See if you can get any of the other guards back there to aid us."

Anchor turns and begins running towards the goblins attacking from the north. "Ye might as well be shooting at a wall, ye bilge rats!" In stressful times, and perhaps spurred on by Galen's presence, Anchor would find his way of speech turning back to the way he learned while on the seas. Hopefully the added flourish would help him draw the enemies attention"

Galen's attempt at intimidation had been unsuccessful, but the thing ran away after all. The bowman had hit it, and it got scared bad. Unfortunately for the group, there were more goblins around.

"Leave one of 'em alive, this time, eh?" He said to Ealwald, "Might be we can get a few bits o' information from it."

He moved toward the goblins, and added, "First one o' you yellow-bellied shits ta surrender gets to live."

Without waiting for an answer, he launched a fire bolt at the first of the northern goblins to shoot.

The fire bolt hit Pojo square in the chest. Hopefully it would make Pojo and Tot think twice before continuing their assault. Unfortunately for poor Pojo, his armor wasn't strong enough to take a really good fire spell to the chest, and instead allowed it to open his innards. It seemed as though Galen had one more shot at the idea of obliterating one enemy and cowing the other.

Tortetarte sees the worg run away, and is worried that it may come back at some point, but before he can truly voice his opinion, he feels to plinks off of his shell, and sees Marcon take an arrow.

It may be best for us to make our way back to the caravan. Although, his instincts tell him to check the keep for survivors, logic is pushing him to get aide for himself as well.

The caravan sounds pretty nice He says to anyone who'll listen. But in case no one wants to follow, he casts bless on Theren, Marcon and Eawald. And Tortetart, Taking Ankre's suggest, moves 30ft west back towards the caravan.

Ealwald responds to Galen, "I know what I'm doing, I'm a professional!" Despite the bold-faced lie that was just spewed by Ealwald, he is at leas t confident enough to use his magic missiles again due to his complete lack of confidence in his other abilities.

Round Summary:
Once again up and ready to fight, Theren takes a couple more swings at the monster that had until now been successfully keeping him face down in the dirt. Seeing how badly outnumbered it is and having been wounded multiple times already, the worg decides running is the best option. Marcon goes to retrieve his spent arrows as the party seems likely to sit down and give everyone a moment to catch their breath.

That is, until a trio of goblins appear. Two, in a field NE of the town square, fire at the party to no effect. One, peeking out of a window to the South, puts an arrow in Marcon before hiding once again. At this, Anchor suggests that Tortetart and Theren flee back to the wagons before threatening the pair of goblins who missed. However, he never gets a chance to see if his threats had any impact as both Galen and Ealwald use magic to dispatch the pair.

Meanwhile, Tortetart has begun to flee.

Theren's training and personal code will not allow him to run from a single enemy, especially when it is a only a goblin. He does realize though that he needs to be smarter than he has been though so charging head long at an opponent using a bow is a bad idea. Looking around, he realizes that the boulders that are scattered about would make excellent cover. Theren quickly moves to take cover behind a boulder, kneeling into a prone position in order to maximize the cover he will receive.

In battle there are plenty of things that might kill you. Swords,
arrows, fire, horses, a slick patch of grass, a wizard who's hungover. Ample threats to life and limb. But nothing kills a man in battle faster, or more certainly, than the impulse to freeze up in fear.

Marcon read Je Tsong's "Battle Mind" on a sunny afternoon in a cloistered garden. On this bloody morning of bells and worgs, the lessons in it do not desert him. Looking to the shaft in his shoulder, he follows backwards with his eyes the path it took tp get there.

When the archer is not visible, he draws again and aims as best he can back at the arrow's origin. When its owner pops up againn Marcon will repay the debt of blood.

As the goblin peeks around the casement, Marcon's arrow buries itself to the fletching in the creature's eye socket. In the square, the young warrior grunts in satisfaction.

As Anchor charged towards the two goblins, he watched as two bolts of magical energy flew past him, leaving barely anything left to hear his threats.

Just as he decided to turn around and start making way for their third assailant, he sees Marcon fire a perfect shot at the goblin, taking them out as well.

Still unsure of how many goblins may have taken up residence in the town, Anchor stays where he is, trying to see any remaining threats from his new position.

Galen was furious. He had just told that moron to leave one alive. And the bloodthirsty noble there had to go and kill the other one. Still, there wasn't much to be done for it, now. Galen began the trek back to the castle, face visibly twitching in not-so-well-hidden anger, to pick up his "walking stick." He was going to let them have it when they'd cleared the town of danger, though. He didn't know how long he'd be stuck with them, now, and he couldn't have idiots that don't know how to cooperate mucking all of their plans up.

Tortetarte continues to his full movement toward the caravan, moving 60 feet out of the town. If he makes it back to the caravan, he informs them of the situation. He speculates that the townsfolk are either in the Keep, or they fled sometime ago.
