I actually know a friend who may also be interested, and he was supposed to post here if not for his internet being shifty at the moment. He wants me to post his interest here in case.

Like I said, I'm aiming to have this start on Friday. I work Sunday-Thursday 0630-1530 and I'm off on Friday and Saturday typically. I'll work on getting a Pantheon up. If your character requires a more in depth background of the God or Goddess you think you want him or her to be a follower of, PM me and we can discuss and tailor to how you need it. A lot of lore will be discovered in game but you can PM me anytime you need to know something we haven't covered yet. I have spent months prepping this campaign, I am now making the final tweaks to it.

I have decided to start in Combedean but have not yet picked a city. Below is a map, please do not open on a mobile device as it is a high rendering for detail. I will allow you to decide why you are travelling to or through the city we start in. Please decide how your characters know each other so we don't have to do the drudgery that is the "meet and greet" that seems to be standard fare for this type of game. While there is a "main" plot I will not be forcing players onto a specific quest just to shove it down your throats. Instead, you may pursue any "side quests" or other adventures until you stumble upon the main quest. To me, it feels more organic that way.

Just because you know each other does not mean you have to like or even trust every single one of your companions. Bare in mind, it is hard to rationalize having someone in the group no one gets along with despite their uses.

Thus far what I have is an aging baron by the name of Lord Andhere Beaduric, someone who has not spent the majority of their life adventuring, but in their coming twilight years have taken up sword and shield. A knightly aristocratic fellow, Lord Andhere Beaduric is not a typical man of his station, having renounced a majority of his influence and political station among his peers and has sought to make a mark and legacy on the world going forward. Given he is a human and a baron, so a militant noble, who is the most likely to know him? I imagine him a land owner around Hoxne, Hammerway, and Ironchurch. He's distinct in that while bald and graying, with extremely close kept hair, he is surprisingly lively for an old fellow.

While I don't have all of his story ready, my character was formerly a soldier(a officer, to be more specific) and he currently works around in Ironchurch as a monk. If you want our characters to have more special relationship, then your character could be the noble that got my guy kicked out from the army, if not, the two could have just met while my guy was still in the army, the choice is yours.

My character travels around, vanquishing evil without hesitation on his patron's orders. He doesn't particularly care for one place over another, especially after his stint in jail. If someone needs to be blasted, he's there.

I'm a DM that only gets with my group once a week, I love to write lore, create dungeons, puzzles, spells, items and anything else (using the 5e GM guide where needed.) Where as I don't want to dive quite into another compaign, I'm willing to help out wherever is applicable, or if you have any GM related questions.

P.S. What did you use for your map? It seems interesting.

The character I'm thinking of is a bit campaign dependent. He is a Tiefling summoner whose dedicated his life to the research of Devils and the denizens of the Nine Hells in an effort to discover his infernal ancestor's true name and free his family from the dark contract his ancestor had bound them to many generations ago. He will be a Conjuration Wizard with considerations of branching into Fiend Warlock territory to further establish the flavor of a Devil Binder.

If anyone has a problem with the nature of my character in regards to theirs, please notify me, as I am happy to change into something less edging into evil territory. While he won’t be evil, himself, he will have heavy ties to Devils, and if that may be concerning for others to deal with for their own characters, I’ll be fine with using a different character concept altogether.

My character will definitely have a problem with evil. That said, people might argue he is evil at times, but hey, who was blinded by the light? Not you. It was him, and that means he is a champion of Justice. Who cares if he's willing to blow up a town if that means killing his enemies?

I agree they would be familiar, @Claw2k11. Given nobility and royalty would generally be leading the army itself, it would not be a surprise for the two to recognize one another, even if they never interacted directly. The sort of thing where both parties have seen and know the other, but not in person.

Lord Beaduric would be fairly notable as well, some old knight who never saw much of the cbat itself outside of dealing with the opposing knighthood, even then not much of a hero himself. A red dragon among the army? Pretty easily recalled, especially if he was being provided with orders.

I appreciate the offer. I'll definitely reach out if I have any questions. I used worldspinner for my maps. The drawback is you can't make town or dungeon maps on it, so I'm trying to find a good application for that before I resort to hand drawing them (I have no artistic ability).

Just draw grids with appropriately labeled dots.

If you have the DMG, there are tables for making them. Honestly, I use grid paper and jusy color in different areas with basic shapes of various colored pen so I know what's what. If you have each room numbered, you can make a little index to remind you what each room is, what enemies and traps it has, and even DC's for different things beforehand. The tiles and art are just to make combat and environment a little easier to imagine, yiur story telling us what actually makes the areas.

I was thinking of playing a cleric Aasimar, though not quite sure if I'll play a naive Aasimar or a fallen one who is an absolute cynic :3

@rush99999, given you intend to play a dwarven fighter, do you intend to play offensively or defensively? If the former I will retain my paladin concept, if the latter I might do a ranger, for the sake of something similar and to keep a strong frontline between that and the monk.

If someone who deals with Devils is too controversial to handle for the party, I could also opt for an Arcane Archer.

Personally I would prefer not to have a devil conjurer in the group, @Cu Chulainn, not just from a social dynamics angle, but that is probably going to be reliably difficult to convince anyone to trust them, assuming this is an uncommon thing. If this passes for normal, I imagine it a non-issue.

Thank you, @rush99999. I needed that information sooner than later before I transferred everything I had from Myth-Weavers to Dicecloud.
